It is a couple of guys sounding like Beavis and Butthead claiming they talked to someone who 'knows'.
Could be.... but I am not holding my breath.

Here is another question.
Do we really need to buy those psychic cards? Are they in the BGB so we don't have to buy them seperately, if we don't want to?

They are already in the main rule book they are simply for ease of reference

thanks webebuggin. I just saved $20 for now.
Here is another. Is there a weapon summery for weapons in the back of the book? Do they have updated weapons? From reading other posts, us Nids are hosed since we have no AA weapons.
So I like to know if other races have updated weapon changes (skyfire rule) since I read Tyranids don't. Also what is the new Tyranid mysterious weapon?

This is rumour as I won't have the book til tomorrow but it sounds like the only Skyfire weapons listed in the BRB are the ones on the defense line/bunker things and as an option for missile launchers (S7, AP4.) So once again sucks to be Harpies I guess.

Is the rumor true that you can use grenades on MCs and vehicles in base to base? 6 guys with plasma grenades in base to base with a MC equals 6 possible str 6 attacks? It is brutal if true.
Edit. I was thinking of crack grenades and they are ap4 but still nasty. Melta is ap1 str 8 but I1 so if my math is roughly right... equal number of points in marines we will say 9, attacks a fex and loses 3 of their number to the fex because of melta but then likely either kill the fex or reduce it to one wound on average. That is in a vacuum of course but that is just ugly for all of our MCs.

Yes. It works the same as hitting vehicles with it now. Yet another ugly nerf to our MCs as if they were too good.
Chances are that the FAQ is in favour of the marines.
Especially now that trygon cannot get furious charge to strike before marines, our MC with their low number of attacks are completely screwed.

Just had my first 8th ed game, pre-FAQ but still, 1999 points. It took forever but was worth it. I really like this new game, the wound allocation was intuitive and I could pop vehicles to the left and right with S6 AP- shots. My Flyrant was amazing (partly because my opponent had no Skyfire so a dose of salt with that) and I didn't stop Swooping until turn 7 when I went in for the kill and contested an objective. He was shot down once but that was all, otherwise Swooping around 24", laying down 12 TL S6 shots every turn. The long movement is amazing, easy to deliver SitW were needed and hurry back to my side to contest an objective that my opponent felt was safe.
We ignored the rules for Allies, Fortifications and new psychic powers and played with our old lists just to get to know the rules. We rolled the diagonal deployment and mission #5 (the old 'draw' mission) with Mysterious Objectives. There was a hilarious moment when we discoved that my opponent's objective was prone to exploding at the end of every movement phase! Seriously, the bummer of guarding a continously exploding objective had me doubled up in tears of laughter, even though it turned out to not be as bad.
Really looking forward to get deeper into 6th ed, starting with the FAQ.

Rounding up dice when we need to half is going to be a huge advantage! So 7 attacks on the assault with a trygon halved when using Smash is 4 attacks!

Dark Eldar Scourges are going to wreak (please do not swear) with their Haywire Blasters. A single round of fire from five of those could take down a Land Raider. Hopefully things like this will change the meta in favour of 'Nids and other Assaulty armies.
