How do we deal with the New Knights?

Hum... Is there text some where that would clear it up? Perhaps in the rules describing how the whole fight phase works?
That would be the first place to look.
A line of text discribing how damage is converted to wounds or how excess damage is treated?
Not sure myself, never needed to find out before.

Look under Shooting Phase, Resolving Damage or something like that. Fight phase follows the same resolution.
... did you really need me to tell you how to use your BRB? I'll just assume you weren't convenient to check it due to work or something similar.

The inability of players to read the damn rulebook never ceases to amaze me.

No chance for Tyranids. Impossible to beat Knights! Lol really? By specializeing our lists we could easily destroy a knight list. Even in a all comers list we can kill one by suiciding OOE. The main purpose of this thread is to evaluate as many possible ways to take out a knight as possible so that we can still maintain a fully flexable all-comers approach to our tournament lists while still having a successful plan to deal with the 3-5 knight lists. I've only lost to knights once so far, but it was my first play against them and it was just a kill them all game so no objectives or points. Lone knight. Sure. As Tyranids in 7th ed I’ve been against grey knight + lone knight twice.. haven’t been against knight since. Knights. That more than two... 48 wound or greater on the table. That, why I said too slow. Because My Tactic is dash attack, wipe out all treat unit instead of number them down so nothing can hurt my knights. Old One Eye? Sure I’ll made sure it stay down in first turn... Exocrine? Okay shot them into ash first Hornsagant? Meh it can wait, let it eat overwatch. Genestealers? Thinning them out, less dice for them to get 6s. To beat me, you will need duplicates units..

Yes! That how I feel! This is why I am Tyranids main player. Only people who want to challenge my knights can ask me when they want taste knights strength, have a fun to losing or want to beat my unbeatable knights. I now recall space wolf player did ask me he want a challenge my knights and claim he can beat me. Last year... I forgot about him! Oops.

I have good idea. We can do fantasy game in here. Let my knights teach and find a way to beat knights list. You guy can tell me what you would do to strike down my knights, I’ll tell you what I would do and what I worry about. Maybe we can narrow down the Knights true weakness. Imagine that I already deploy my knights base on how you want me to. Tell me points limit and I’ll fill in list to see how it went then you show me your list after I show mine. Use my Tactic as your guild. Any other knights player in this forum? They can help!

Any other knights player in this forum? They can help! I play knights as well and I have no idea what you are going on about. It's a unique problem to be sure, but nothing we haven't seen before. Based on how badly you misunderstood how acid blood and mortal wounds worked forgive me for being a bid dubious of your take on knights.

Based on how badly you misunderstood how acid blood and mortal wounds worked forgive me for being a bid dubious of your take on knights. Indeed. Acidly blood things is new to me. I just learned that from my last opposite... Turn out I learn it in wrong way. So now I learn that Acid blood don’t give out that much moral wound and cancelled my Titan slayer tactic for my game. As you was knight player, you know your knight. And you know way to counter-attack. We can share that with this topic. This topic is about how to deal with new knights, we can’t do that with single unit data sheet. We need many data sheet that work together to strike down knight by knight. One by one in bottlenecked terrain, limiting their movement. That was my Knight’s weakness, don’t know about other knight player but it is mine weakness. But what Tyranids units that can slay a knight in single turn? There are 5 game turn per match, 5 knight to kill.

Knights can't do that much if you slow them down and hamper movement. It can be very frustrating as a knight player to continually have a few pesky bodies in the way. But you don't have to kill 5. Most current lists have a giant new knight and a few punchy knights. Slow the punchy knights down by feeding them poor units, kill the dominus class knight and outscore them. I'm not saying it's easy, but that's where I would start. It's how I beat deathstars in 7th and it worked like a charm. You have to play the mission really well and not make mistakes. Games are still won and lost in the movement phase, not the shooting phase.

The main issue to me being Reaper makes it hard to feed cheap bodies. Otherwise that sounds like the most prudent approach.
On another matter, does spore mines give Death By Thousand Cuts? Cuz that immediately rules out Biovores.

Ok give us a 2000 pt list of knights.
I like the idea of a mock battle using averages.
