Some new 6th rumours, how would they effect us?

The new pyschic powers will add an odd wild card element to our army. Tervigons with Gate of Infinity anyone? All I can say is that it's a good thing most are randomly generated, or they'd just be broken.

Something I noticed no one talking about: Null deploy got a big boost.
Reserves come in on 3+, Hive Commander makes it 2+, add Swarmy and its auto drop on turn 2.
Just putting it out there.

Nice recap of 6th edition rules on a variety of areas; especially Flyers, Fortifications, and Monstrous Creatures at Faeit 212. All with a grain of salt, of course........
natfka.blogspot.com/2012/06/faeit-212-qna-late-night-session.html#more
Points that I found of Interest: - MC strength capped at 10 for "Smash" attacks (sad..) - Loss of initiative bump for Furious Charge (Adrenal Glands) offset by improved "to hit" with poisoned weapons "Toxin Sacs" - Flying MCs can use "Vector Strikes" against Flyers.
Local GW store says that FAQs will be posted on Saturday with rulebook release OR on Monday morning when the web team gets back in the office (weak!).
Seeing the note above, I'm working on a Null Deployment list (no Swarmlord, though). Trygons (x3), Zoans w/Pod (2x2), Doom w/Pod, Raveners, Gargoyles, and single Flyrant and Tervigon (minimum Termies to hold objectives).
I'm hoping the FAQ has some good news (uh, better news??).

I hope the faq and errata system was a group effort for every army. I cringe to think about Cruddace handling the nids by himself...

Null deployment also got a nerf; you can only put half your units in reserve.

I have a feeling that the "can't ally with self" thing is not directed at us but at everyone else. The idea with allying with ourselves makes sense as we show up to a battles as a huge horde like it says in the fluff. Here's to hoping that it will be in the errata.

I hope the faq and errata system was a group effort for every army. I cringe to think about Cruddace handling the nids by himself... Maybe he has night terrors. He dreams that the red terror and other tyranid organisms eating him and spiting him into a digestion pool only to be eaten again. So in order to stop having night terrors he has to nerf the tyranids so their rules are bad enough that they stop scaring him.

bringing back the red terror with it's own custom model would be freaking amazing. The old one was beautiful but to small...

Here's to hoping that Games Workshop will release a Harpy/Red Terror kit.

This 50% Reserve is a big friggin' deal to Nids players. I plowed across the table the other night against Grey Knights (Spearhead deployment), had some really bad "Run" rolls, and was basically wasted by the time I got to them (Autocannon Dreadnoughts, Psycannons, Las/Plas Razorbacks).
Worse Save roll, worse FnP roll, and now I've got to start more units on the table? WTF?
