Some new 6th rumours, how would they effect us?

We should get a new codex to hopefully make the Pyrovore usable and the Tryong tunnel to be more effective.
Right now, I can wait for a new codex. I can still loose every game, I don't care for that, but the game has become boring because of last turn vehicle rush.
I am hoping we have scoring every turn and you have to be outside of a vehicle to do so. This will help out a bit. 6th edition will either suck me in to buy more stuff, or quit GW for good.

You never leave Davor...they will always find you... Interestingly, I haven't spent money on GW in nearly 2 years. Thing is, from my semantic viewpoint, I don't really see the 40k community as something GW owns. Even though I'm here, I look at it as being part of the hive, not part of GW...

You never leave Davor...they will always find you... Well that is true. I have quit a few times before, just thank God, I never got rid of my stuff. Thing is Hordes are wispering to me. . Like funny how GW can't talk about future starter box sets but PP is already talking about and telling us about their Hordes Starter set. I am so excited for the Hordes Starter set now. Well here is hoping 6th edition becomes fun for ME.

Fresh news:
I don't know why you would call it Infantryhammer, but I like it if vehicles cannot contest. I've lost many games were I've dominated only to fail to wreck a turbo boosted skimmer contesting an objective. But I'm not sure it would make up for nerfed cover saves and 3,5" charges (the average of two dice). My guess is that charges will actually be 6+1D6".
Percentages 'not' in - sounds logic. Why fix what is not broken?
Preferred Enemy sick good - excuse me while I dust off voraciousapathy's original deathstar with OA Tyrant, 3x3 Hive Guards and 2 T-fexes.

*if true*
Preferred enemy will give a small boost to devilgaunts, and Hivetyrants will be a bit more ubiquitous and pretty standard in Nid shooty armies. (tyrant +warrior prime in warrior groups means those warriors will go from 50% hit to 66.67% hit (with the prime) to 77.77% or 7/9, and devilgaunts will go from 50% hit to 58.3% or 7/12)
venomthropes are now "standard" moving cover as opposed to "not great" moving cover.
If allies rules are in with the distrusted ally rules - tyranids WILL get the short end of the stick there.
Jump infantry boost means even better gargoyles, and depending on how it's worded, an extra attack for flyrants and Harpies (maybe even flying rippers).
Rapid fire upgrade means more mobile armies and less dependence on transports to be able to apply firepower on a target (this will hurt nids)
with this crop of rumors, it sounds like they're aiming for a more fast paced game that encourages you to remove models quickly. You'll probably want more bodies to be able to soak the wounds that you're inevitably going to take.

Yup that's the 8th ed fantasy route - more models on the table, longer charge lengths (I mean to say 6 + the highest of 2D6" in my previous post), deadlier shooting, deadlier combat.
Still, I'm taking salt. Sounds like rehashed pancake edition rumours.

Yay,............Rapid Fire upgrade,................ I was actually thinking that a mech-down was automaticaly good for nids, but the latest rumors I hear say otherwise. Of course, we will only know how all these things work out when we see the bigger picture.

My local indy store has a book on their doorstep, so being as we can now post about the book, should we not relocate?

I thought the "ally" rule would be for Doubles events or what not. So I believe, NO, one player using 2 codicies or 2 different armies in his list. It will be him/her and his/her partner.

Hmmm...... IF TRUE *JUmp infantry get 1 extra attack on charge at I10* *S8 on T4 does 2 wounds, not ID*
Then Shrikes just got a *lot* better.

S10 will actually do 2 wounds per hit on our MCs with this new rule too. Maybe we'll see a bit more of it.
