I am 15...but you can be 15+ to get drunk in Britain! HAR HAR HAR! 5+, legally. It's illegal for minors to consume alcohol in the bar area. Buy your childly chum a Baileys Irish Cream tipple for passing their SATs and sit them in beer garden to drink it, by all means. Let us raise a foaming tankard of nut-brown ale in honor of the loophole. Right... the point. Tau? I can see them as the only ones who would "rule", as I see it described, should they gain power over the universe. But I still think they're cheesey.

@ koyori, yeah an H-bomb is not megatons, but 12,000 are quite a lot. my point is if they were dishing out megatons, that would be only a few nukes. As each Polaris missile in the UK's deterrent has 5 warheads, that's five actual nukes in each missile.
That's why i said that imperial guns aren't all that impressive. (although now i think about it, it is quite a lot, and maybe we just have too much firepower now.)
Anyway, i still think that if we were doing it realistically, a machine gun, or automatic laser should be able to mow down hundreds of troops, without being reached in CC.) guns are ridiculously underpowered in the game.

The Polaris was the old missiles used by the UK, today they use the Trident for their subs. Also the Trident has a yield of 100kiloton. And dun try to convince me otherwise, I work with darn things so I should know.

Tyranids would win. Why? Because if we are having too hard of a time, we will pull out, eat someone else, and come back. What would the universe have done if it had been attacked in the year 2000? They would have been teh f.. bad-thing'd.
Why would necrons lose? Phase out takes them to a tomb world. Eventually, nids will come to the tomb world, and they will bring a giant spore mine with them. Humans would lose because they are disorganized. Orks might stand a decent chance. They are like nids made out of fungus. But I think that since feral orks cannot traverse space, at least for a few hundred years after they get dug up, tyranids would win. Tau might also stand a chance. They are extremely well organized, and in 6,000 years they have advanced farther than the imperium of man ever was. I could see them holding nids off for tens of thousands of years, but not forever. Chaos? I don't think so. The hive mind is more powerful than any one chaos god, focusing on each one at a time would be their downfall. Eldar arn't numerous enough, and tyranids will find the webway sometime.
Also, nids DO NOT need to eat stuff for energy. They eat plants all the time, I'm betting they've picked up on photosynthesis. Also, I'm sure in desperate times a hive fleet will just take root on a planet and start soaking up the nutrients+rays of the sun, growing in size. Tyranids are the only truly unstoppable race. (maybe orks too, depends on wether or not we can get all that fungus..)
Edit- Also, warp demons, according to the necron codex, exist only because of somthing the nightbringer did to mess with the eldar.

Hey you all, I seem to recall that once all the eldar die, there will be an all powerful god that will arise form there ashes and a new race of eldar will be born... I know for a fact something liek this will happen, albiet far in the future. Does anyone know what they will become or can confirm my comment? Based on this I belive that the Eldar will win.

I think the Tyranids. But only because they evolve, one day we shall evolve enough to make all their weapons useless and just bounce of us muhahaha.
But i also believe the Eldar could. Bits in their codex hint they can re-gain power. And as long as Eldarad is still alive in the Matrix Fortress all is good for them. The Harlequins though will never die, as they live in the warp and can hide from Chaos because they know it so well. But if Chaos God finds them they are **** ^_^
Orks, a lot of numbers but stupid creatures if you ask me, no chance of doing anything.
Humans, being they are humans and if we were to write an ending in reality they would win because we are humans so yeah, get me. But like this, there dead.
Necrons, if you ask me they will all perish, someone will raid their tomb worlds and find out something to stop them. Or Tyranids evolve some magnetic pulse which auto phases them out etc.
Dark Eldar, i can see them joining back with the Eldar in the dire end and dieing together.
Who have i missed? Cant think but oh well ending story is... Tyranids own!

In the new Eldar dex it has a short piece about how once all the remaining Eldar have joined the Infinity Matrix a new god will arise, Ynnead the God of the Dead.

In the new Eldar dex it has a short piece about how once all the remaining Eldar have joined the Infinity Matrix a new god will arise, Ynnead the God of the Dead. sounds more like prophecy and religion then true fact. A quick question: by the universe do we mean the section where all the races are right now, or do we mean the entire area of space? First, did u all not read the new fluff in the codex? Right now we are in an all out war with the orks, which mean one of those races is going to loose. my bets are on the orks losing. with nids having that much biomass we would go on a rampage. There are then two ways that the history could go. One is that the tyranids go on a universal blitzkrieg and wipe out everything. humans and tau die. we find the warp portals, or the craftworlds themselves and eat them all. We find the dark eldar planet theyre hiding in, and take them all out. we find the necron tombs and blow them up. But then what happens? The tyranids have devoured everything in the universe. i dont know if we eat or not, but the nids need some form of energy sustinence. and if every living thing is devoured, eventually we would die off and the universe would be lifeless (now thats an optimistic thought) On the flip side if we got stuck in a war with the necrons, we would lose. why? We cant eat them! there is no form of sustinence there, and eventually attrition would take us out while they rebuild in their tombs. thus we would have to take them out fast otherwise necrons win.

the orks will loose charoden. we havn't lost yet and the more victorys we get, the more biomass we assimolate and orks hapen to have alot of biomass (and alot of rather strong biomass at that) so the more we win, the more likley it is that were going to win the next time. but not all the orks are located in charoden. they are one of the oldest plages of the imperium and charoden was only founded in the the 36th melinium. there all around the galaxy and if they where to unite (not gona happen just by there nature), they would deffenetly take the imperium and would give even the nids a tough time (though as carnogaunt has sugested, they may not be able to re-suplie themselves without taking stuff from the imperium).
on the topic of what hapens after this galaxy? they go onto the next one, and do some serious stomping there to. but eventually, they will find a bigger opponent than even them and then they will loose. there will allways be a bigger fish in the sea. the universe will die. the only thing we can fight for is to stall that eventual conclusion.
about nids needing to replenish there engergy, they go into hibernation when making large travels and i figure that they have some way to convert spent energy back to usuable energy (the energy must go somewhere so i figure that nids could have evolved a way to convert it back with 100% efficiency), but if a nid fleet looses, the hive will loose all that biomass so i recon if they where to get in a fight with the crons we would be screwed (but you'd think we'd just go "screw this" and go to a different galaxy).
but now i have a question. how is it that nids can enter the warp without warp drives/shields? the imperium needs them. eldar warp spiders have some fancy mechanism that transports them through the warp but how do nids do it?
