Who Will Rule The Universe?

No one will rule the universe, as their will be no-one to rule, they will all be consumed by the nids, who will then consume themselves in their ever unquenchable hunger..

Let's approarch the questiona different way: Since tyanids are favored, what would have to happen for the Nids to be pushed out of the galaxy?

Probably the most realistic scenario for a complete defeat of the tyranids is one of the other races creates some kind of super virus. Something so singularly devastating that it would wipe us out without anyone actually having to fight us. I think the best candidate for who would engineer it would have to be the Imperium. They have the most experience fighting and studying us and they have used this virus plan before to knock out a good chunk of Hive Fleet Leviathan.

i think they will find out who or what the hive minds are and they kill it and do the same thing with each fleet.

I don't think the Hive mind is a thing, as in a being, it's supposed to be the psychic network between all the 'nids. Therefore it can't really be destroyed, unless you destroy all the tyranids, or atleast all the ones with synapse networks.

You can believe that if you want to and he can believe that he wants to. I don't think the fluff has a solid answer on that one. Lets us make up our own stuff.

It's strongly implied that way in the newer codex.

Well a virus would not work, as there DNA is based on consumed bio mass from the races of our galaxy, therefore any virus would also target our biomass aswell.
Tyranids are the biggest threat. Chaos in second place, as it feeds and grows off the negative thoughts and emotions of the 40k universe. however, if the 40k universe is consumed by nids, there would be nothing to sustain Chaos, and therefore nids would defeat them by default. hence Nids would conquer all.

Actually, a virus would work because it has in the fluff. It's how Kryptman destroyed the Tyranids at Tarsis Ultra (I think that was the name). Sure, tyranids use a lot of the DNA of other races but at their core they all share the same original genetics. That's why there are some features that can be found on all nids, five head plates and those little breathing holes on their heads for example. It was the part of the genetic code that they all share that Kryptman's virus attacked.

I reckon they could be beat by the Tau MAYBE, but its unlikely, unless the tau get help from other races. Imperium probably not as they seem to enjoy declaring their smart people heretics, then get screwed (like stalin xD)

Wait Tau beating the tyranids?
Isn't that one of the least numerous fractions against one of the biggest? I would think one hive fleet could wipe out the Tau, that's just my thought though.
