I've read something that they're made to destroy the Necrons. Plus they're kinda ancient. And full of heavy weaponry. But I don't know how they work.

well, the nids can not rule the universe. nids do not Rule anything, they eat it. so they are disqualified. Tau, lol. Eldar, no. Dark Eldar lol again. Necrons, unless they all start waking up quick no. Ork, maybe. Chaos, maybe. Impirum. Yes, the Impirium is so big, it could crush anyone (with the exception of the nids orks and chaos) with ease. impirium has my vote.

Well if the only creatures capable of ruling are killed by the creatures that chose not to rule, than the creatures that destroy all others would have to get the vote because they are the only species left alive. Being the only species left alive is ruling in its own right.

All I know about the Blackstone Fortresses is that their primary weapon is some kind of warp cannon. Abaddon combined the power of two to strip a planet's surface completely and later combined three to cause a star to go super nova, destroying an entire system.

Actually, trivial as it is, Abaddon only used one to strip the planet like pelling an orange. And the Imperial navy stopped him before he could blow up the star. Although I'm gonna go with the idea that it's a warp cannon (though the warp tends to do huge and explody rather than strip, leave that to Tyranids and Exterminatus torpedoes).

I'm just impressed that you read all 13 pages of this debate in one sitting. Otherwise you wouldn't have know that you were the only one who has a claim on the universe.
And before I join your dark crusade I must know, will there be snacks?

What, no vegans? But they're so tasty. I suppose I'll just have to settle for beef.
I guess I'm in then. Rikard for ruler of the universe in '08!

Kroots, think about it. They can use the weapons the Tau supply them with, and can devour genetic matter to absorb it, tyranid style!

Imperium will surely be destroyed mainly because its social structure is weak. Plus they have many enemies, and they can't focus to destroy one enemy at a time. It will take them awhile to rule the universe, but I believe the Imperium will be destroyed before they have a chance to rule.
Kroot? Mmm... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! GIANT CHICKENS WILL NEVER RULE THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
M'kay?

Saying that the imperium of man has a lot of enemys is an unfair statement, everyone has a lot of enemys. We just see it in the point of the imperium a lot. No one likes each other that much, if at all.
Fractions can are divided. For example the Chaos gods not liking each other, the C'tan don't like each other,Orks don't get along without a big enough warboss, don't mention dark eldar, but I'm not completely sure about eldar. The tyranids don't fall into this category mostly because of lack of knowledge about them and they don't rule what they take.
In short, most teams hate each other and everyone fights everyone. (including the imperium of course).
True, their social structure has a lot of holes, but with a good leader.....(wow I've never stood up for the imperium before this is weird)

Kroot? Mmm... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! GIANT CHICKENS WILL NEVER RULE THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! M'kay? In time you shall see the sweet truth... Once we chickens get some fried norn queen in a bucket and eat em, we'll be the new shadow in the warp! Or maybe cluck in the warp. Or even egg in the warp. Atleast we'll be in the warp instead of with these lousy Taus and their insect allies.

True, their social structure has a lot of holes, but with a good leader..... Since when do they have a competent leader even? Sure, the space marines got em, but the imperium as a whole got either a live/half-dead/dead(depending on who you ask) husk of an Emperor sitting in a gilded chair or that council of highlords or whatever it was called, long time since I read much about the internal working of the empire. And from what I can remember the council wasn't effective at all.
