Imperial guard players, Tau, eldar, even space marines hated genestealers back then. When it only took one or two squads of to wipe them off the table. Thus aside from having nerf, stealers also get castrated and hamstringed.

... So they really only have Up to go... I think you underestimate what GW can achieve. Try thinking ... Age of Sigmar.

You guys do know that the genestealer has the exact same profile it had since 3rd edition.
Stealers have never been "nerfed". They are what an awesome unit looked like 10-15 years ago.

While your statement is right, the stealers were nerfed... not by altering their stats but by screwing the core / special rules... also, some of their options were removed (feeder tendrils anyone). So while one could claim not only the stealers were affected with the changes, no one could argue that the stealers were probably hurt the most.

So not technically nerfed but not updated for a long time. Seems a shame as they are the most iconic Tyranid unit alongside the Carnifex. Got a game tonight on rocking 3 of the fexs

Try opening your mind, maybe Age of Sigmar or Age of Emperor could be an awesome game. You could really field a proper Tyranid army and have a very fluffy game doing so. Not saying you have a closed mind gauntlet, but seeing comments like this and I see those comments wrong in my eyes, just wanted to say this.

You could really field a proper Tyranid army and have a very fluffy game doing so. Not saying you have a closed mind gauntlet, but seeing comments like this and I see those comments wrong in my eyes, just wanted to say this. You can 100% field a fluffy Tyranid army right now with all our formations. I think people are really over doing it with the "Our book is useless in EVERY regard" thing. If you play with people who have the same outlook on how to play the game then things work perfectly. Obviously I am not saying the book is perfect or without any flaws (It has many), but the way you have talked in recent posts makes it seem like you view our dex as being unusable even in beer & pretzel matches. Also people need to learn that a "fluffy" Tyranid army varies constantly from individual to individual. Sure Tyranids have a kind of 'guideline' written on how they should act, but that does not mean it is the be all end all. That IMO is the beauty of it all, it is YOUR Hive Fleet, so you get to determine what is fluffy and what is not when it comes down to it.
