Garasu and Shikaku followed Index and Haru out the door. Garasu maintained a distance from Index, and though she did look at Index now, she would immediately look away anytime Index turned around. Shikaku was walking slightly behind and to the right of Garasu, and whispered to her after having observed her for awhile. “You should go talk to her Garasu-chan… She has forgiven you after all, this distance isn’t good.” Garasu shook her head stubbornly and said nothing. Shikaku sighed uncomfortably and then sped up to come up alongside Index and Haru.
“That’s a very cute cat you have Index-san, what’s its name?”
Shikaku reached out to give the cat a pet on the head, but it shrank back, and she pulled her hand back. Her face became downcast for a moment and she looked up at the sky which was quickly turning from dusk to night. “I suppose he can tell that I’m not… that I’m different.” She shook her head and when she looked back she was smiling again. As Shikaku and Index talked Garasu stayed back from the group. As she was watching them she remembered the dream she had experienced earlier and a chill ran down her spine.

Index smiled proudly and shot Haru a "told you so" look which caused him to look up in an exasperated way. "His name is Sphinx" she said happily still bouncing along. When Shikaku reached out and Sphinx growled Index gave him a tap on the head with her finger, "Sphinx, be nice. They are part of our church also." The cat didn't seem swayed by this. "How are you different Shikaku-san?"
Haru moved up beside Garasu and addressed her, "Something wrong? If you don't want to do this, you don't have to. But Index forgives you. I do as well. I know what it's like to have yourself being messed around with by other people." _______________________________ Nyanko felt a rush that almost made her turn to slap Will, she already knew, but she couldn't get angry about this. Instead she heard the beep of a call waiting. "Just one moment, I have a call on the other line." Yip heard the click of her switching calls. "Hey, Toki. No you are punctual as always." She put the bottom of her boot against the side of the counter and stretched while smiling at the ceiling and humming, "Look Toki, you know I could get this information just as easily as you, If not easier. I'm just a bit busy right now." She sighed into the phone, "Toki, I stalked down that boy you liked and found out he liked you and then gave him the prod he needed to ask you out." She paused looking more irritated, "So what? So what? So you've been together 2 years now. How about you do this for me." She paused again listening, "He's a good guy, and while he's certain to get at least one slap, he doesn't deserve it from this Anti-Skill Jerk." She paused again and finally smiled, "Thanks Toki." They watched her walk into her room and reappear holding a tablet. She was tapping at it and smiled, "Toki, next girl's night is on me." She switched back calls studying the tablet in front of her.
"Sorry about that Alister, A friend called." She grinned at the pad in front of her, "Back to what you were saying, Yes, I know about your rep around us official types, it is the rep around the criminals I'm more interested in. "For example, many that have resisted arrest described you as "barbaric, horrifying, brutal, and oh my favorite one so far, wolf-like." She put the pad down on the counter, " And this is all coming from a man that assaulted four women with a crow bar. Even he thinks you were over several lines. Very interesting."
Her voice had taken on the confident quality that had caused more than one official at Anti-Skill to be taken with Nyanko, "So don't get me wrong when I question why Will was arrested. Especially considering you documented it under vandalism. He wasn't even close to that was he? We can't bring people in on charges for things they didn't do, that isn't how the law works. As for the laws about miss-use of powers, you might want to look into those yourself because all things considered, Will could have your job over this." She was studying her fingernails at this moment, "So let's just cut to the chase because my dinner could be warmer. I'll deal with his new power level, and investigate into that as much as is necessary, and you'll drop it, or you can press on this issue and see if you can actually tangle with with Will." With that, she hung up the phone dropping it next to her phone and rubbing her face before looking up at Will and Sverre.
She moved from the counter glaring at Will, "Be honest with me, did you use the Level Upper?"

All Nyanko could hear before she hung up was a sigh that sounded more sad than annoyed and a soft thump sound as Yip dropped the phone on the mattress and laid back, rubbing his ears. He heard the phone hang up and closed his eyes. It wasn't that he wasn't use to being talked down to, as even humans seemed to feel they could dominate him, but he really did hate people like that. Thinking they could win something with words alone. He was what he was and had been for years, and since that guy actually cut a hedge in half there was no way that was gonna come back and bite him. He opened his eyes and looked at the nearly full moon.
Sometimes he really hated other people. "But then again..." He said to himself. "Apparently I'm not part of other people..." He gave a soft laugh as he scooped his phone up and threw the wrappings of his food in a nearby bin. After checking everything was where it was meant to be he stood up and stretched. The night was young and he had nowhere to be so he might as well do his job. Plugging his headphones in and setting them around his neck Yip cycled through his music until he found what he wanted before setting off at a steady walk to wherever his feet took him.

Will had simply walked in and sat down opposite Sverre. His greeting was rushed, probably because he was mainly listening to Nyanko’s half of thephone call. He did well to hide his anxiety, even going as far to try and make conversation with the Norwegian. “So are you enjoying living here? This is a nice apartment,” he smiled in such a measured way, anyone with any kind of perception could tell his mood.
He heard the phone go down, Nyanko’s quiet sigh and then the inevitable question. He didn’t look up to her and began staring somewhere around the middle of the table.
“Well… yes,” he said with an entirely balanced tone. “I won’t lie to you, I know how impossible that is…. So I might as well tell the story…” He looked briefly at Sverre, trying to gauge some kind of reaction.
“I’ve been living alone in the city for about a year…. not sure if you realized, but occasionally I can be a little bit on the… sad side,” he’d never told this story before, and wasn’t sure quite where it was going, but continued nevertheless. “It’s a mix of issues, partly because I don’t really belong here… Anyway, you’d told me about the upper, as had a few others,” he’d shifted from one line of thought to the other quickly and ignored the lack of connectivity. “I downloaded it out of curiosity, it wasn’t hard to find, a bit later I took a walk round the district and in an alley some people were fighting, one of them was this black haired girl, throwing this mirror around.” He waited to see if there was any kind of recognition of her face he could take advantage of.
“She looked in trouble, they were really fighting… I can’t do much that way, so I used the upper… I’d found my reason.” He couldn’t help a slight smirk momentarily before his face neutralized. “I got involved, then the mirror girl did something, apparently I wasn’t welcome.” He realized he was verging on irrelevant.
“I hope you don’t think I’m trying to excuse myself, I’m not… I think I wanted to use it really, being a level 1 for two years isn’t great when you’re ranked by your power…. The whole thing is a bit of a mess… But I don’t see it getting cleaned up.”
His phone rang but he immediately stopped the call, but the phone back into his pocket, and sat in silence.

For just a moment, Will was fairly certain she was going to find a paint stripper and use it on his face, at first he wondered why that particular thought had come to him, but then it struck him that perhaps her control of her power could be tested by anger enough that her thoughts would become loud enough to hear. Almost as if to confirm this thought she pulled a chair up to the table and sat down, "God must be on your side or I'd use a paint stripper on you right now. Do you even have any idea what you might have done?" Her voice terse as it was did reveal an almost touching concern, "We aren't trying to stop the level upper because we're afraid of chaos, we're doing it because we don't understand it yet. Before I got taken from active duty I was supposed to meet with a scientist that had a better understanding of AIM fields and might be able to tell me how this thing works."
She put her head down on the table sighing, " It is days like today that make the days without friends seem pleasurable and preferable." She sat up rubbing her head, "Well, I can't do anything about it now. I guess tomorrow I'll go see that scientist anyway, and maintain an investigation on the side." She looked at Sverre, "You can help me. You understand way more about this stuff." She looked at Will, "And you can come because you used it like a dinkus and need to know more than any of us what it could do."
With that said it seemed like everything was forgiven for the day. Nyanko walked over to the stove and started dishing the food out onto plates before bringing them over and setting them down before each of the boys and her chair. She moved to the fridge pulling out chocolate milk, soda, and water. She set the milk down next to Sverre and the other drinks in the middle of the table. She sat down at grinned at Will, "Well dig in, Sverre cooked it and I'm not going to stay mad at you. I already had to pull files on another officer to get you out of (please do not swear) so I might as well at least enjoy your company."

Jinx woke up,his face supported by a wet pillow,as he got up,he realized how stupid he had been. The emotion caused him to completely lose track of his mission,he walked over to his PC and turned it on,the old machine came to life with a noise he swore could be heard from a mile away,he went over to his balcony, about half a meter wide and half a meter long and hung his pillow so it could dry.
He had to wait for about half an hour before his computer finished turning on and Internet Explorer finally opened. With a couple moves of his finger,he managed to find Haru's number on Google. While pulling his Phone out of his pocket he wrote the number down and pulled the plug to shut off his PC,it never managed to turn off normally. He tockled a little on his Phone and sent a message to Haru:
"Hello,it is me,Jinx,I'd like to talk to Index as soon as possible,I'll leave place and time up to you to decide."
Once he finished doing that,he used his Phone to check his funds and noticed he probably had enough to last another week depending on if Index would want something, having met her for even for a short period he knew she'd probably pick some kind of costly food when they met. He sighed and sat down on his bed, awaiting a response from Haru.

While the verbal melee between Will and Nyanko sent sparks flying, Sverre retreated into the safety of the kitchen. After using his powers, not tongs to give the sausages one last turn on the grill he went onto mashing: that is, telekitically levitating and crushing potatoes with some butter and salt. Still hot, he hovered the sausages and globs of mash onto the plate. Peas were last, he left them on the stove.
Sverre looked trepidously across from Will. His hesitation and fear of him still being angry was just barely outdone by his sheer curiousity. "H-how does it work," he said quietly, "Is it a device? A drug? Electronic or audial stimulation?" he recounted the research done at the Black Cat. Not once did he dare look up at him, treating him as if he were a gorgon who would see him turned to stone. As if a coping mechanism for the awkward stress, he sculled down half a glass of chocolate milk.

(OOC- this is ahead of the current time line but since Yip isn't really interacting right now I don't think it matters.)
It was just turning midnight as Yip walked into Anti-Skill HQ leading a bloody and battered guy by the arm. Once they where inside Yip handed the offender to a worried looking guard and made his way over to the counter and the male receptionist that now sat behind it.
"Morning Ivan." Yip said, grinning as the clock ticked over to the new day. The man being called Ivan looked back with a tired look on his face before going back to the paper he was reading
"I suppose you want paying?" He asked not bothering to look up again.
"Yup." Yip simply replied as his grin widened.
"Well you can have it once you've filled out that arrest form..." That got rid of Yip's grin. Looking rather put out he grabbed a form and with as much speed he could muster began to scribble out the needed words for the arrest. When he was done he handed the form to Ivan who, still not looking up handed Yip a thick envelope, that Yip hurriedly tore open and began to count the money within.
"You know..." Ivan muttered dryly, one eye trained on the almost manic looking wolf boy. "The average work hours for an Anti-Skill officer a week is forty. You work how many?"
"One hundred and sixty eight." Yip managed to say between notes.
"So... You work 24/7?"
"More or less." He replied happily before tucking the money in his pocket and turning to leave. "I'll see you in two weeks." He said before walking back into the night. When he was outside Yip took a deep breath of night air before slipping into an ally. Once he was out of sight he set into a run, taking a moment to jump over some bins before carrying on. It took about twenty minutes of running before he got to where he wanted to be. Slowing back to a walk Yip made his way over a single figure.
Not saying a word Yip stopped when they where close enough to touch, then reached into his hoodie and pulled out the envelope. He took a couple of hundred out of it which he stuffed in his pocket, before handing his companion the envelope, a small smile on his face. But just before he could turn to leave the woman spoke up, something she hadn't done in a long time.
"They miss you, you know."
Turning back to the woman, a confused look on his face. "And why's that?"
"Because your like the big brother most of them never had." The woman replied sounding amused, as Yip turned slightly red.
"Well it can't be helped. I use to pine for my brothers all the time when I was a pup, and I need to work to do this."
The woman give a slight laugh before saying anything. "Well either way Alister drew you this." She held out a piece of folded paper which Yip took and opened. For several seconds he stared at paper looking lightly surprised, before looking up for the woman.
"I can't take thi-" He started but she was already gone. With a sigh he took another glace at the paper and put it carefully in his pocket, before setting off to find a place to spend the night, and even though the paper would bring nothing good if someone saw it, Yip couldn't help but beam as he walked alone in the darkness.

Shikaku laughed but her face looked sick. “Besides being dead you mean? Or the fact that maybe I’m not really me, I’m just some image of what Garasu-chan thinks I am or would be if I were still alive? Well if you ignore all that there’s still the fact that this is the first time I’ve actually walked around like this on these streets in six years…” Shikaku looked thoughtful for a moment but when she looked back at Index she was smiling again. “But you know what… All that doesn’t really matter. I don’t care if I’m dead. I don’t care if I’m not even really me. I FEEL like I’m alive, and I FEEL like I’m me… And to be honest it’s not as if I couldn’t have asked these questions even before I died. I’m glad that I’m here, I’m glad that for the first time in six years I’m able to walk with other people in this city. I’m glad I get to spend time with Garasu, and I’m glad that I’m getting to walk with you and Haru-san. Maybe I’m not me and maybe I am. But I’m walking here alongside friends and that’s something I’m certain of.” She was still smiling but there was still a hint of uncertainty in her eyes and her voice, as though she was trying to convince herself.
Garasu’s face flushed and she stammered “N-N- No it’s not that, it’s a good idea for me to stay somewhere closer to you and Index… I’m just… I don’t know… I guess I’m just-“ the thought was interrupted as Haru’s phone rang signaling a message. Garasu was staring at Shikaku and Index’s backs.

“Whatever I’ve done is done,” Will said with a voice that didn’t match the security of his words, before letting her speak for a good while. He realised what he’d done was on the foolish side, but he wasn’t going to let her know. At her last comment he smirked, but saying quietly, with the intention to be heard, “you always do.”
He went quiet briefly, before remembering the call he hadn’t answered. He got up, pulled out his phone. “Excuse me, I’ve got to reply, it’s the parents.”
He wandered into the kitchen but his words were still clearly audible. His mother didn’t seem to waste time on pleasantries, instead demanding to know why he’d had 4 “incidents” with the law.
“Just a series of misfortunes, I know it seems weird, buts that’s all it is,” they could hear him say, before the conversation quickly devolved into what parents living so far away from a still relatively young son would say. They could hear him respond to questions about whether he wanted to move back to them. These were dismissed, despite Will’s apparent feelings towards the metropolis.
Having ended the call, Will wandered back into the room, sat down, picked up a fork and started to eat in a manner, which suggested frugality. Eventually, he turned to Nyanko.
“Where are you seeing this scientist guy?”

Index turned her head to the side slightly at this minor outburst , "If she remembers you exactly as you were then what does it matter that she is remembering you? I remember books exactly as they are and they still make spells happen and are perfect." Index smiled brightly, " She continued to hop along happily, "After all, if you were just her imagination, you wouldn't have feelings that could be thought thinking." She turned still moving backwards, "Haru, Haru, we are almost there, and then I get to eat!" she turned in a circle quickly almost stumbling up the stairs to the apartment complex." Haru smiled happily at her before taking out his phone to look at.
They'd finally arrived at the apartment and Index knocked on the door to hear a muffled come in. Walking in revealed a child-like woman with bright pink hair and a face that seemed not unlike Nyanko's although it was more mature. She stood up from where she was cooking some sort of hibachi and smiled moving forward to shake Garasu and then Shikaku's hands, "Hello Hello, I'm Komoe-sensei and one of you is Shikaku-Chan and the other is Garasu-chan. Come in. I'm making dinner already and we can get things straightened when Haru gets off his phone." She shouted the last part as Index plunked down at the little stove table grabbing a pair of chop-sticks with zeal.
Shikaku, Garasu, and Haru found themselves being hearded towards the table for the meal. ____________________________________________
Nyanko, as if recognizing Sverre's uncertainty smiled, "It is an audio file as we are aware." She glanced at Will, "Correct? And we aren't certain how it functions. That's why we were going to see a scientist." She looked at Will to answer his question, " I would be going to the Advanced Education department to visit Kiyama Harumi" Nyanko seemed to catch the way Will ate and was slightly struck that it mirrored her own reserved and slow manner of eating. She looked at Sverre again, "Such questions she could hopefully help answer. Now, why don't we deal with the Elephant in the room before Will shows us whatever his new powers can do. Sverre, say you're sorry or I'll hide all your books on you and swipe your computer." He couldn't tell if she was joking, especially not after watching her handle the Anti-skill officer over the phone. "Will, say you're sorry or I'll.." she paused thoughtfully, "Call your parents and tell them you aren't coming home because you have a girl you like." She looked truimphant at this stroke of cleverness.

Shikaku stared at Index with a great deal of intensity as she talked, Then she smiled with an equal intensity. “…Thank you Index-san. ”
Shikaku slowed her pace to return towards Garasu and Haru. Garasu was looking at Index and Shikaku guiltily. Shikaku , who was still smiling, placed a hand on her shoulder. “Garasu-chan, please talk to her, if nothing else at least apologize for attacking her in person… you haven’t done that yet you know.” Garasu nodded sullenly “I know… I just… I will.”
“Garasu-chan…” Garasu flinched “What’s eating at you? I’ve never seen you like this”
Garasu shook her head “It’s nothing. I just need to be stronger that’s all. I need to be able to protect Index… and maybe, if I get just a bit stronger… It’s nothing.” Shikaku looked very concerned but she didn’t press any further for the time being.
As they arrived at Komoe’s apartment Shikaku looked uncomfortable. Garasu on the other hand stayed deep in thought up until Komoe answered the door, at which point she finally stopped looking at her feet. Garasu received the handshake and murmured her hello in a somewhat distant manner. Shikaku, who had been attempting to conceal herself behind the others shyly, blushed and gave a small chirp of surprise as Komoe moved through the group, referred to her by name, and shook her hand. “H-Hello”
As Komoe led the way inside, Shikaku and Garasu shared a glance, and a smile. Shikaku’s smile quickly turned to a look of surprise as they both entered the main room. Shikaku giggled quietly and for a moment Garasu looked perplexed and searched the room for the cause of her laughter, until she realized how messy the room was and saw that Shikaku was staring at a pile of empty beer cans near an ash tray while trying to contain her mirth.

Will laughed before muttering ,"they'd probably like that." Then he looked to the boy who sat in front on him, "I'm sorry for getting a bit... irrational with you, I wasn't feeling so great." He glanced at Nyanko so see if what he'd said was sufficient. He leaned back into the chair.
"I've never been to Advanced Education..." The comment was left with a frayed end, as Will seemed to get slightly jaded, drawing inwards. After a a few seconds, he sat up and began pulling something from his pocket.
"Thanks for the meal, but I really should be getting home... It's-" there was a pause, as he realised just how late it was. "11:30..." He reluctantly drew his hoody on, and began heading towards the exit.
When he got there, he turned briefly, and just added, "see you both tomorrow.." rather superfluously.

Sverre mentioned the research involving him that would be occurring in a few days, "Dr Takahashi wants to look into research on Esper levels beyond level 5 on Monday (2 sleeps from now)so he can talk to you about your increase in leveling." Sverre looked at his look of what level 5+ would have to do with Sverre. "I guess I should tell you - but you HAVE to keep it a secret, there are already enough people after me. I wasn't a level 3 and I wasn't a level 2. What you saw at the ware house district they think is only a little bit of what I can do. You HAVE to promise not to tell ANYONE, okay?"
Sverre, heeding Nyanko's threat said, in response to Will's apology after pointing out to Nyanko that considering the dimensions of the room, the height alone would not allow even a pigmy elephant to fit in that room, "I too am sorry that you acted irrationally, tell me what triggered it and I shall refrain from it in the future. Also, I am sorry I am a bad cook" ...Worst apology ever, but it was something.
Later, as he was to leave he just gave a "Seeya" in his bland, monotonic speech.

With Will Gone, and the peace restored Nyanko turned to look at Sverre. The look she gave him would have been unreadable for anyone, but was especially confusing to Sverre. She lifted up the dishes and took them over to the sink. With that done she simply nodded. "Alright. I suppose I have to come along for that then." She had unwrapped another loli-pop and was already sucking on it. "I guess I'll unpack." She then began to move about the apartment using her powers to lift about furniature and possessions meant to decorate it. She spread pictures of cats and other various girly things over the apartment. Finally, after about an hour she seemed pleased and sat down on the couch pulling a sketchpad from her bag and began to sketch something or other. ___________________ With everyone finally seated at the little table where a heaping mound of veggies and steak was frying, Komoe-sensei popped the tab on a fresh bear can and lit a cigarette tapping it briefly over an ash tray before moving to flip the steak Index was very obviously drooling over. Haru's phone buzzed in his pocket and he removed it looking at the text. With a sigh he looked up at Index, "Index-san, that Jinx fellow from the other day wishes to meet with you. He says you get to choose the time and place." Index hardly paid any mind to this waving her hand and continuing to click her chop sticks together with anticipation, "Somewhere with lots of good food." Haru nodded with a sigh pulling the phone out again to respond.
Index wants to meet at the dancing frog buffet tomorrow around lunch time. See you then. P.S. We will be bringing two others in our church.
With that Haru looked up at Shikaku and Garasu, "Tomorrow, a man called Jinx wants to meet with Index-San. I don't trust him, and I think once she's eating she'd agree. It would be good for you two to come with if only to help protect Index-san." Komoe-senseo interrupted this with a wave of her cigarette hand, "No discussion of things at the table. It is ready! Dig in." She smiled at them all as Index began to nom every bit of steak that she could as fast as she could giving little content sighs and sounds as she went. Haru smiled at Index who was also grinning. Komoe-sensei looked up at Garasu, "Garasu-chan, after dinner I can show you where you'll be sleeping and your class schedule for next semester. "
