Summer break is upon the schools as final tests of math abilities and Esper levels come to a close each of you is finally free of your educational demands. The City of Science never sleeps, and neither do the Judgement agents; with extra free time comes extra time for crime and punishing crime. But it also leaves time for new relationships, summer flings, and the occasional government mystery or magical issue. No matter what, as each of you rises on this muggy, summer morning, something in the dorm air and sunshine tells you that this summer break will be full of events that change the course of history...or maybe that's just the smell of pancakes and the feeling of truimph over the school semester (either way). ____________________________________________________
Sylus has awoken this particular morning to find a voicemail on his phone informing him that he was expected at a meeting with Judgement earlier. Another message informed him that if he doesn't arrive in the next fifteen minutes he will be filing papers this summer. With the speed and atheltics that only a military school and a year in Judgement can instill in youth he arrives with three minutes to spare to the board room. His staff sit at the desks looking ashamed and he sees that other girl's staff sitting opposite them. One of the Judgement higher ups he knows to be called Misato is tapping her fingers and looking more than a little put out. Despite this he doesn't see Nyanko. Several moments later he feels the door open behind him and someone smacking into his back with a loud exclamation. "Owwww dammit." He recognizes the voice as Nyanko's and turns to see her haphazardly pulling up one of her knee socks while attempting to button up her shirt more fully under the vest. A tie hangs untied around her shoulders. She seems to be managing to look embarassed and put out at the same time.
"You two take a seat. I'm pleased to see that in only 13.5 minutes with little to no warning you two can mostly be put together. Take your seats."
With no shame Nyanko and Sylus take their seats near their teams. Sylus can hear jokes coming from his side of the table about Nyanko and him and why they both look so...not put together. Nyanko's side are stony faced although he notices some of the other girls helping to put her together.
"Well the summer is upon us. And that means there will be flair ups in all crime. To further make our summer hell, Big Spider, an Anti-Esper gang has been attacking more people. We aren't certain why, and we don't know how they are managing to harm people as high as level fours." Misato called out the names of their seconds. "You shall be in charge of Sylus and Nyanko's units for a time." she turned her gaze leveled on Nyanko. "You and Sylus will be working together on the "Big Spider" issue. I expect you to investigate them and become partners until Judgement is satisfied."
Nyanko allowed the girl next to her to finish smearing dark eye-shadow over her eyes before standing up. "Maam. With all do respect my team has been working on this since it began. We believe a "Level Upper" is involved with everything. If we have just a bit more time I'm sure." Nyanko was cut short by a stern glare.
"There is no such thing as a level upper. And you have not satisfied me. Perhaps you can learn something from Sylus and his cracking heads not books attitude." She listed where their office was and then shouted " Dismissed."
Now fully put together Nyanko stood brushing out of the room past Sylus. "I'll talk to you later. I need to go back to the office to get some things. I suggest you go do the same." Her pace was quick and if he wanted to catch up he'd have to try. ______________________________________________
Marik hadn't really noticed the passage of daylight. Except to say that now he watched her and him emerge from the small apartment. She was bubbly and talkative as always. "Haru. I'm hungry. When are we going to eat?" Him pleasant and pleased by her attention, "When we reach teacher, Index. Until then lets keep going." They strolled along and Marik darted along watching the girl dressed in a nun. It briefly entered his mind that the getup she wore must be hot. But this didn't stop her from skipping. She darted on ahead of Haru and stopped next to a small kitten that had been yowling for the last several minutes and lifted it yelling at Haru , "Look a kitten." Haru immediately stepped into damage control. "We cannot keep it. We can barely feed ourselves." The girl seemed to want to hear nothing of it. "Haru. As a Nun of the Order of Necessarius it is my duty to take those less fortunate into the church. That includes Sphinx." the kitten yowled again and although Haru complained Marik watched her stuff it into her robe as they continued walking.
"Watching your prey are you Marik?" the voice of Gale, his mentor and fellow Sorcerer interrupted him. "She is quite...cute isn't she. Who would believe she has the secrets to everything?" ____________________________________________________
Storming away was how Will found Nyanko. Or rather how she knocked into him. He'd woken up this morning to calls from some of his friends to go to the beach. She'd walked right into him as he was about to get on the bus. "Oh. Hey Will. I'm sorry." she smiled sheepishly. "I didn't mean to hit into you? Are you okay?" it was a polite question, if a silly one.
"Where are you headed off to?" she smiled brightly at him. "Be careful, "Big Spider" has been hitting more lately you know. I wouldn't want to save you again." she touched his shoulder playfully the wind sending her pink hair dancing. It was clear she was joking. Somehow, he knew she'd just come from something very stressful. Perhaps it was this that prodded her to ask "Hey, do you wanna grab a snack..." it was clear she was searching for a reason to tell him her problems. "I want to ask you a bit more about the people that attacked you." __________________________________________________
Aidan had come awake from a nightmare, he wasn't quite certain what it meant. Only that he'd seen his parents again. He could see the stack of cards besides his bed. Even though the other kids generally didn't know what to do with him, some other level zeros had taken an interest in him. This had caused him to have many offers for beach trips and shopping excursions. Would he take one of the offers and leave the dorm for the day? It might be fun. ___________________________________________________
Yume awoke from a particularly pleasant nightmare of some kid's parents dying. The summer seemed to bring out the nightmares. Perhaps it was the aimless quality of summer that seemed to scare teenagers so. Either way. He found himself outdoors as the nun Girl, Index, skipped past him with that guy, Haru, she was always with. The two were in an animated argument about something called Sphinx and neither noticed him watching.
He could see the childish, innocent, beauty on her face as she jumped on Haru's back and began to knaw on his neck. He heard a feint meowing sound as they continued onwards. He could see two men, Sorcerers by their dress watching the girl also. Both looked positivly diabolical. ____________________________________________________
Sverre came awake to the day feeling unrefreshed and even a little irritated. He knew that Nyanko had promised to show him the city during the summer, she'd even seemed to be looking forward to it. Now he found a note that had been slid under his door bearing her horrible handwriting.
Dear Severre (she seemed incapable of correctly spelling his name.), Judgement had a surprise meeting today. I'm so sorry, I was really looking forward to taking you to the beach. I hope you find something to do while I'm away. Don't get in any trouble; Actually please get in trouble so I can get out of this meeting and come nap on a beach with you! Have fun!
She'd drawn a little picture of a cat and then signed her name next to it. Then a text brought his phone to life along with an email.
Hey Srreve! Meeting got out, I might go to lunch I dunno yet. Either way I'll stop by to get you and you can come! Please try to not look too much like you hate me! OR at least tuck the collar in and look like you do. Once again she'd gone to the trouble of typing out a cat picture and then her name. ____________________________________________________
(Let's rock and roll kids. I've set you all up for interactions and what happens next is up to you!)

"Uh...by office do you mean back to my bed? It's to early for this (please do not swear) and I have everything I need in my jacket." Sylus said leaning against the wall and looking Nyanko up and down. She was in top physical condition, her mind was sharp as all hell, and damn was she cute but something put him off the thought again, like every time. "Look I'll text...uh...wait a sec...where's my phone. Dammit not again!" He punched the wall and got up from where he was. "Fine, I'll meet you at the Black Cat at 3pm. That's time to get whatever you need, shower, change, whatever. I'm gonna get my phone..." He turned his back to her, looking over his shoulder. "Black Cat, 3 o'clock, its a date." he said letting his shadow lift him lazily and glide him back to his dorm room.
When he reached the room it took mere moments to find the phone, 3 missed calls from his mother and a text message from Aleria. He dialed his mother straight away, taking the time to listen to everything from an assignment he would be getting from Sgt. Krieger all the way to what she cooked for dinner the night before and how upset he had missed out. She was getting old, 58 now and slowly succumbing to Alzheimer. He had been through this same conversation quite a few times over the past year. Krieger had given him that assignment and he had received an award for it.
When he finally got off the phone he checked the text, "(please do not swear)..." he muttered. All it read was "Black Cat? 3? See ya there!"

Marik let out a dark Chuckle. "Indeed, my Master." Gale knew by now that he said master, in replacement of the word Teacher- Marik would as soon as bow to another's whim as he would give up his magic. He Couldn't ever, it was impossible for his mind to grasp the concept of deffering to another. And he wouldn't if he could. "This bodyguard she travels with. He looks wrong. The birds whisper things about his twisted anti-magic. Such a power is wrong. Magic should never be suppressed." He spat on the floor, quietly, but with enough force to drive in his point. He hated everyone who wanted magic locked away. "I will get her eventually. Her mind will be mine, master."
Another Dark chuckle, and he waved his hand around in a complex looking Sigil. A small portion of the shadow cast by the next building over broke off, leaving an odd little dent in the shadow that would take careful observation to realise it was unnatural. The sliver of shadow flew to his hand, and took the form of a very real Crow, with a faint green glow at its centre. "Watch them where I cannot hunt. Take to the sky's, stay out of sight." The bird cawed softly, then flew into the sky, its eyes following the two.
Marik turned back to Gale. "Now then my Master. Are you here to teach me something new?"

"7:00" read the red digits on his alarm clock, blaring a harsh tone into the dark room. He sat up in bed with a brief fleeting memory of his dream. The obscured sun had slowly fallen below the horizon and at dusk he'd woken up.
He climbed out of bed, finding the light switch and illuminating the room. It was as plain as a teenager could tolerate. Off white walls, a beige carpet, the only furnishings were his white bed and small wooden wardrobe. There was also a door, leading into his bathroom, which he took. The light to this room was more harsh, emitting a dull buzz from above. He took a moment to stare into the mirror at his nearly closed eyes looking weary. Last night had been rough.
He took a moderately long shower in lukewarm water, with no need to stay in or out. The temperature was never hot enough to call pleasurable, not in his neighbourhood. After getting out, he dressed casually, reminding himself that it was the first day of summer. He didn't need to get up at 7:00 anymore, although he likely would, as he quite enjoyed early mornings.
In the apartments main room he brewed tea, before taking breakfast onto his little balcony. Every morning he could sit eating rather gravelly cereal with a view the city's high metal skyline. His cheap flat in Oshotagi, one of the poorer neighbourhoods home mainly to a strange mix of single parents and students, had some benefits.
The sun was shining brightly, creating a beautiful morning that signified the advent of summer. He found it hard not to enjoy the heat a bit, despite generally preferring cold days.
His phone beeped from within his pocket. Fishing it out, the text came from one of his closer friends, Consomatoni, asking if he wanted to go to the beach. He'd handled Japanese kanji a while ago now and he was almost fluent in the language. It wasn't hard when you were constantly surrounded by Japanese, although he still thought in English.
He sat mulling over whether to go to the beach or not. He definitely had nothing else on today, and it'd probably do him good to get out, and not spend another day on his balcony.
He got up to leave, grabbing some trunks on the way out, picking up his keys which sat on the side and locking the door. He began to walk down the corridor, which was no more colourful than the rest of the apartment block. The lift would've scared a claustrophobe, but he took it daily, the idea of walking 34 flights of stairs not exactly appealing.
Leaving the building, he realised just how hot the day was, wondering if jeans were inappropriate. The road was empty at this time, and would remain largely empty for the rest of the day. There was an alley way half way down at which he stopped. It provided a faster route to the bus stop, however last nights events made him very reluctant. After a little deliberation he took it and quickly found himself at the bus stop. He'd have to get closer to the city centre before changing if he wanted to get to the coast. The government hadn't built a metro station anywhere near him yet, so it was the only option.
-----
He stepped off the bus, which had filled up as it got closer to the centre. The bus depot was slightly more lively, but it was too early to call it crowded.
The next bus wouldn't arrive for another 5 minutes, so he sat at a bench, looking around him. The skyscrapers began at this point and only got taller. Most of them were just metal and glass, companies logos adorning the tops, which stretches out from the busy roads below.
His bus arrived, and with some effort, he got off the bench and made his way over. It was then that Nyanko had bumped into him. He turned rather irritably, although his face somewhat softened when he realised who it was. They'd met before, probably on a few occasions, but he knew she was high up on the Esper ladder.
"Oh.. hi, yeah fine," he said, as though answering two in one haphazard sentence.
"The beach, in fact on that bu..." He realised it'd just left, quickly ignoring it. Hearing the term "big spider" made his brain skip a bit. "I will, and erhm, thanks.... for that."
After a noticeable moment of silence, he replied "yeah that'd be great, where abouts?"
She was physically attractive to him, although he wasn't really attracted to her on any other level, he'd never really been to anyone. He hadn't had a relationship for the two years he'd been in the city and that didn't really bother him.

Aidan laid there for a moment, flipping through his cards. They were so familiar in his hands. He thought of all the offers he got to go out. He's uncle did say he didn't need him this week at the comic shop, But he knew he would stop by to see how his uncle was doing anyway. His uncle would then force him out, saying he needed to have fun. He would then go to the field were he practiced his powers.
So he got up and got dressed. Putting his battle monster cards in one pocket of his pants. Walked down stairs and got on the computer. He pulled five cards out of the card pocket and noticed the Penguin butler card. Hmmm he thought "my teachers always say to use your powers in different way" so he summons the penguin butler. The penguin looks around as if ready to slap someone with his flippers. Aidan says, "Go make me some toast". The penguin looked at him for a second and then went to make the toast. Success, he threw the penguin card in his left pocket (his discard pocket), and went along playing around on the internet. It was a few minutes later the penguin waddled over with with a plate with toast on it. He dismissed the penguin once he found the toast satisfactory.
After getting board of the computer he walked around the house and found the huge mess the penguin had made in the kitchen. He pulled the penguin card from discard pocket. But he knew he would be unable to resummon the penguin. His powers had to fallow the rules of battle monsters. As hard as he as tried to break the rules.
He took all the cards out and shuffled them up as he didn't want to walk around with the 5 cards he had pulled out. He then headed out to catch the bus to go down to the comic shop to see what was new and to see his uncle. He waited for the bus to show up as he checked his phone.

Yume awoke with a groan as he shielded his sensitive eyes with his hands in an attempt to put off the day. He hated sleeping. It left him open to attack and allowed the dreams of others to seep into his mind like they had in the other place. He had no problem with living through another persons dreams however as the terrors of others where like a pleasant show of emotions and sensations. Nothing like his own. He shivered slightly at the thought. It was just that people where so stupid, that it actually made him sick. The amount of dreams he got about failing tests and arriving to school naked was astonishing. For the result of billions of years of evolution humans really where worthless.
With another groan Yume rolled onto his side in an attempt to create some shade but doing so brought his face in contact with the soft grass just as someone walked by. Jerking into a sitting position Yume made to pull his left hand away from his eye but only succeeded in yelping in pain as the sunlight hit his animal like pupil. Starting to get angry Yume growled slightly as he managed to pull his right hand away and grab the M9 stuffed into the inside of his hoodie and pointing it in the general direction of the noise.
With his hand away from his eye Yume started to make out shapes but the first thing that caught his attention was the mass of green. It took a few seconds for him to realize it was grass. God he hated grass. So soft and green it hurt his eye. That was without even mentioning the fact it made him-
"Achoo!" The spray of spittle left his mouth before he could even stop it. Damn grass. In an attempt to see more Yume blinked allowing the fragmented pupil of his right eye to adjust to the light and the image of the nun and the guy to swim forward. Most would have been confused by the image of a nun biting some randoms neck just after they woke up but if anything it just put Yume even more on edge. His eye immediately snapped to the mans mind and watched as emotions of all kinds bloomed and faded. It could have been pretty if Yume didn't find the human mind disgusting.
Registering the guy as passive for the time being Yume looked t the girl but was met with a flow of thoughts that would suggest she was still a child. Yume was growing nervous now. A twitch appeared under his visible eye and only got worse and the harsh thoughts of the sorcerers got his attention. Then it dawned on him. That girl... It was her! The powerful one! They must have found out that he knew. Who he was. No. What he was and what he wanted, and if any of this was real they where going to kill him then and there!
"If this was real..." Yume muttered back to himself, his higher pitch of voice making it louder than he had wanted it to be. Cursing his voice not for the first time he gave the landscape another sweep, allowing the gun the dip slightly. There defiantly was something strange about the place. It was too green to be in the city and the fact he had been sleeping in a locked room only added the the strangeness. There was a chance this was simply one of his dreams fragmenting again, filling his mind full of random images. If that was the case then there was only one way to find out.
His mouth curling into a twisted smile Yume dropped his hand away from his cat like eye to look directly and the playing couple. Still smiling he slowly reached up and pressed the muzzle of the pistol under his chin before tightening his hold on the trigger ready to shoot.

As Nyanko had strode away from Sylus a slight blush had crawled up her cheeks. His thoughts were very very loud to her, and even if she hadn't been listening to his thoughts, the casual way he leaned and studied her from the knees up lingering on places only a male would could have clued her in to what he was thinking.
She was mostly out of ear shot as his shadow carried him off but even still he could have sworn he heard her say "I'm your equal and more. That's what puts you off. You don't like being equal, you like having victims and toys." Nyanko had dealt with enough of her classmates coming to her in tears over that one to know. Her looking at his mind only made her certain about him.
*** She smiled at Will clearly greatful that he hadn't said no. "Oh I'm sorry you were going to the beach weren't you. I didn't mean to ruin your plans." he watched her turn focusing on something. Suddenly the bus began to back track towards them. It came to a hault the doors rolling open as the bus driver looked out smiling in a friendly manner. "Sorry Sonny. Didn't mean to leave you." Nyanko smiled at him, "Thank you so much for coming back. I hadn't realized I was ruining his plans." she turned to look at Will, "Well I guess we'll be having lunch at the Black Cat if you decide you want to join us." she glanced at her watch, "We said about three. So you could still get several hours at the beach in." With a wave and a bow towards the bus driver she turned walking off. *** Nyanko had managed to gather all her equipment, research, and artifacts and transport them to their new office. She'd even set them up before returning to the dorm. Her school uniform had become covered in sweat. With a sigh she realized it was time for summer. She pulled on a white sundress and sandals and sat studying the "Big Spider" case until it was time to meet at the "Black Cat"
She'd hoped Sverre and Will would attend if only so she could avoid getting to know her new partner any more than she did. After five minutes of waiting she allowed the waiter to seat her and ordered water. She idly tapped her fingers waiting for anyone to arrive _________________________________________________
Gale grinned at Marik's lack of respect. The way he said master almost seemed like an insult coming from him. He subtly pointed towards Haru and Index skipping. "Yes. I have. See those two. I know you already know about her. But I've come to warn you about him." he paused to take in Marik again. "See his right hand. It cancels all magical and Esper powers. Our best study of him indicates he's recently lost all his memory but continues to look after that girl for some reason we can't fathom." He smiled again. "If you truly plan to go after her, I can only suggest that you try to get her when he is away. If you go after her at any other time you are certain to fail."
Gale held out some papers towards Marik. "These people could be of use to you. If you can find a way to control them." Suddenly, Gale was gone, and the papers began to flutter towards the ground. Marik could hear Index's loud laugh as they disappeared around a corner ahead. Luckily, his crow fluttered along watching them. ___________________________________________________ The bus driver was late Aidan noticed. When it did arrive he smiled brightly, "Sorry Sonny. I had to go back to pick a young fella up. This really pretty young girl told me she'd made him late. I didn't want to disappoint her. Your bus fair is free." he pointed at Will as he spoke and waited for Aidan to sit anywhere. ___________________________________________________ Rather Suddenly, Yume watched one of the Sorcerers disappear into thin air. He watched the couple playing before him as they went and Haru glanced over at Yume their eyes meeting briefly before the two turned the corner.
Yume watched them entering the apartment complex talking about the cat in question the whole way. He could see when he turned back towards Marik a bunch of papers fluttering all over, one was coming towards him. It smacked against his feet and he could just barely see the outline of his picture on it. ____________________________________________________

Marik grabbed the Papers as they fell. He scanned them moentarily with one eye, the other focusing on the crows Sight. He wastched the couple after they rounded the corner. His attention drifted to the nun girls clothes. He wanted to tear them off, then rip at her skin underneath. To dig at the secrets within her Mind. "Got to get at her. Got too." Jumping off the building, he summoned a swarm of Crows from his own shadow, on the floor far below.
The crows swarmed up to meet him, and carried him down without a scratch. They then flew into the sky, a storm of Cawing sounds flying into the clouds before fading away. His shadow reformed, maric stood up in time to see the Man with a gun beneath his chin. "What are you doing you Wretched Fool?" he says aloud, looking straight at Yume.

"Yeah Ill see you there."
Will looked ashamedly to the bus driver, who smiled at him. He paid, before taking a seat next to the window, resting his head against it.
He noticed Aidan as he got on the bus, recognising him. They went to the same school, they even shared Biology, but they'd never talked before. Realising how little he had to do, he greeted him in a way two who were almost strangers would. "Hi, your.. Aidan, yes." He waited for the general pleasant response. "I'm Will, you might've noticed me before, I've seen you, don't you like... Chess or something." He had a feeling he was wrong, but he had little else to talk about.
(We can continue this conversation as a different time frame thing, if you want)
The drive didn't take long, and after a brief journey travelling through Japanese countryside, they'd arrived at the beach. For his part, he spent an hour in the water with the rest but most of his time was spent in the shade, he'd brought a book to read, but eventually he began to question why he was there, while Consomatoni tried to convince him get back in the water. After some discussion he did, but it was soon time to leave. The only way back to the city was by bus.
He arrived back around 2:30, deciding to make a detour back to the apartment. He travelled back down the ally, coming into view of his block. It was a classic 60s concrete structure, surprisingly clean for its age. Around it was a grassy area, with a few trees, he walked up the pavement, to the buildings front. Once again, he took the elevator upwards.
He made it to his door, unlocking and swinging it to. He found some more suitable clothes for the occasion, before stepping out and heading towards the lift.
----
He'd taken another bus down to the city centre, after Internet searching the restaurant. It was a brief walk from the restaurant, which wasn't far from a coffee shop he frequented. Black cat was slightly bigger and he wondered what food was served. It was 10 past 3 now, and he stepped in, expecting to see Nyanko. Noticing unmistakable pink hair he walked over to her.
"Hi again, how are you," he said in comfortable Japanese, before looking up to the closest waiter, and asking for water.
"So, is there a particular reason we're here?" He said, quietly sipping his glass. She noticed what he was wearing, or rather its simplicity. A grey hoodie which parted at the centre to show his plain white Tshirt. Not so much as a label or brand. They even seemed to have a faded quality, which extended to his jeans and even further to his trainers. Despite this, there was an element of class about his look which went well with his manner.

Aidan is happy that there is someone to talk to as he is on the bus and smiles happily as Will says his name he nodes.
"Well chess is nice but actually i really enjoy battle monsters" as Aidan. Aidan gets a little enthusiastic about the card game that he actually pulls out his deck and start to tell Will all about the game and his deck. He is so involved almost misses his stop, has to pull the cord and then run off before Will can get much in edge wise. Will learns far more about the old game, that no one really plays any more, then he ever really wanted to know. But as Aidan gets off the bus he waves to Will, very pleased with him self, and says "hope to see you again soon". (Aidan is very excitable and would probably fully run with a fleeting or misinterpreted interest)
Aidan gets off the bus and heads to the comic book shop his uncle owns. He walks in, little busier then usual. He looks around at the new comics and picks up a few. Talks to some of the customers he knows. He then went to find his uncle who was talking to some customers also. Aidan asks him how everything is going and after some conversation is told to leave and have fun on his summer vacation, as he expected.
After leaving he walked for a while down to a warehouse district of the town to a field were not many people visited and practiced with his powers. He would summon monsters and weapons and try them out, every so often he would try to break one of the rules of the card game but wasn't able to. He was taking a break reading one of the comic books that he had bought wishing he would bring the comic heroes to life like he did the battle monsters. He focused on one of the heroes concentrating, but nothing happened.

Yume was about to pull the trigger when the man looked at him, making him freeze in place. Not out of fear but out of curiosity. It wasn't normal for his projections to actually see him. Perhaps this really was reality. He hoped not, because if it was he would have to deal with the damn grass not to mention walk back to his dorm through all that noise. His smile dropped to a look of slight disgust as he watched the two walk away talking about a cat.
For a few seconds he simply stared at the door the two had walked through before the slap of paper against his feet snapped him back to attention. Confused Yume looked down and after making sure it wasn't an attack began to slowly reach for the paper. But before he could pick it up however the wind picked up causing the paper to smack him in the face. Swearing Yume ripped the thing away to look himself full in the face. He would have inspected it closer but a man with a mind full of hate appeared, making Yume turn his eyes so fast that his left one didn't stop and instead carried on to drift left instead of following the other. The man almost had as much hate as his own Yume thought. Perhaps the man could be...
"What are you doing you Wretched Fool?"
Yume's face instantly went into a snarl which might have made him look threatening if his face didn't look to young or strange. "Seeing if this sickening place is real or not." He spat before rapidly pulling the trigger three times, each time being rewarded with a click. Snarling even more now Yume stuffed the paper into his pocket before scrambling to his feet and pointing his gun at the man and the mage, changing between the two every few seconds as he flicked the safety off.
"Who are you people? What do you want with me?!"

"I dont want anything from you, Wretch. Are you really so blinded you cannot understand this is reality? Everything here is truth." Marik snarls, before turning his attention to Haru and Index as they walked away from him. "Now them... I want things from them." The dark thoughts emanating from Marik as he said this were almost Palpable, though they werent clear, almost as though he didnt know exactly wnat he planned to do himself... just something suitably grim. He chuckled to himself. "Nevermind. What are you doing out here in the Daylight, Wretch?"

Yume actually burst into a high pitched laugh as the man talked to him, though it didn't sound like he found anything funny, and he didn't lower the gun. "I have been to a place where dreams are reality, and reality is a dream. Once you've been there its a little hard to see anything as what it really is." He laughed again turning his head slightly so his cat eye locked onto the man before moving it back so both his eyes where in line again.
"Nevermind. What are you doing out here in the Daylight, Wretch?"
Yume went back to snarling at the man flipping the gun from the still silent mage back to him. "I know as much as you do about that, as if it was up to me I would be in the dark."

Haru and Index had long since disappeared indoors and the last image Marik saw was of the cat from earlier poking out of Index's robe as Haru began to carry on. The suddenly he saw Index shooing the crow away yelling about bad omens and slamming the balcony shutters on it. _______________________________________________
Gale seemed surprised, not many could see his invisibility spell. Within a second he'd re-appeared so even Marik could see him. With grim good humor he waved at the two, "I think I'll leave you two to get better aquainted." he looked at Yume and smiled, "You are a ridiculous bundle of villainy and he's a sinister bundle of incapable, perhaps together you two can actually get something done." with that he turned striding off away from the two as if the gun didn't matter a wit to him. ___________________________________________________
Nyanko looked up smiling as Will sat down across from her. She greeted him as he sat in Japanese. "Hello. I'm fine, thanks. How are you?" She glanced around obviously uncomfortable with the atmosphere of the restaurant which was even more evident by the way she held the menu like it might consume her at any moment. Looking her up and down he could see that she valued modesty and simplicity. Her clothing seemed to communicate this until she turned her head to the side to glance out the window. He saw the white ribbon tied there so perfectly it still had not begun to droop. Something about the ribbon added a touch of class to the otherwise simple look. She turned back smiling and putting the menu down. "Because of the recent issues with Big Spider and something the street people call a level upper, I got split off from my usual unit of Judgement and now I'm working with this new guy." She smiled as the waiter brought him his water thanking the girl before returning her gaze to Will.
"Sylus Tyrian, aka the most brutal, brutish, lady-killing officer to every grace Judgement. My unit was so close on this thing without him being added to the mix. Now I have to explain all my research to him, and all of the plans my unit had." she let out an exasperated sigh which she punctuated by nearly knocking her own water over. Then suddenly she seemed to remember the question. "He chose the place." she looked at the menu again still clearly stumped about whatever she wanted. Then she looked up at him smiling brightly, "Thank you for coming anyway. Now I don't have to watch him pretend he isn't staring at my chest, I can just pretend I'm explaining my work to someone who might actually take a real interest in it." she smiled, "Also, I know some people worry about this with me, but out of respect for you I haven't listened to any of the thoughts in your mind. Which is why I don't know how you enjoyed our beach. How was it?" ___________________________________________________ (This is going to happen a bit further along in events to Aidan, but none the less it gives you something to react to...)
As Aidan read onwards he reached a particularly great page full of action and catchy remarks that was suddenly torn out of his grasp bringing him face to face with someone that could only be described as a biker thug. He noticed around him many other similiar people. Each grinned at him cracking their knuckles. "Run Esper freak." the one that was obviously in charge snarled. Aidan could see a very large black spider tatt on the young man's arm.

Sylus came strutting into the Black Cat 15 after 3 and smiled at the hostess, before walking to the table Nyanko was sitting at. "Hey Yurimato, can you bring me a glass of that new stuff your uncle ordered?" He called to the waiter, a friend of his. "Sorry, didn't mean to keep you waiting. I had a phone call from my mom." He paused looking at the ring on his right middle finger, before shaking his head and realizing he was spacing out again. "So anything you order is on me, don't worry."
Sylus couldn't help but feel a tug in his mind, something was close by and he had felt this tug in his mind before. "Look...I'm sorry if I came across as an ass earlier. We're equals...I shouldn't treat you like anything else. You probably know my 'history' with the girls in town...speaking of which...oh (please do not swear)..." Sylus said throwing the curtains to the back area closed. "My ex just walked in and she tried to meet me hear today...dammit!"
Sylus was in open panic, he could fight for hours and feel no fear but the one thing he couldn't stand to see was a girl cry, and gettting near this one would cause 1 water show!
