Jinx panicked,he suddenly could not move and he was threatened to be killed,he tried to regain his calm but it didnt exactly work,he spoke, slightly stuttering: "those thugs" he made a slight puke-ish noise when he said 'thug' "were not send by me and they probably tried to impress Father without orders or thinking,do not worry, they have been dealt with." Nyanko could not sense a single lie in his words, tho she shiverred when he said 'dealt with'.
He looked at Sverre before continuing "probably because of our first encounter, but i explained that already,as for Nyancat,my first impression probably wasn't that good." Jinx started to regain his calm. "Seeing Garasu like that reminded me of my sister,as such,i might've been a little harsh back then.",although he wasn't lying,Jinx hadn't said everything, there was still a concern deeper into his heart.
He knew Nyanko wouldn't accept an apology and neither did he feel like he did anythign wrong,as such he didn't even bother.

Nyanko looked up at him and her gaze was hard, "Jinx, I'm going to say this once more for your benefit. When you think you're hiding something by speaking half truths, your brain is screaming that you think you're clever and getting around me. Your mind is practically waving a sign around saying I'm not telling you everything. I appreciate that you are telling the truth that those men weren't sent by you." She paused leaning so that her gaze was more firmly on him, "But anyone who has a father that could be impressed by two adults raping and beating a 17 year old student has one sick, twisted pappy." Her gaze softened slightly, "We aren't going to kill you. We don't roll like that. We want you to tell us what you're really doing here before I have to go in there and find out. Do you need help? Is your family or someone else hurting you? You can tell us, I'll do everything to help you..."

When his Father was insulted like that Jinx snapped,*What would she know* he thought,he calmed down, knowing that if he harmed any of them now he was pretty much a dead man. "As i have already said, those thugs weren't sent by me nor received any orders, that i am sure off, they must've overheard a recent report and decided to silence you regardless of what Father might have planned,as i also have mentioned before, they have already been dealt with." he said at a shout-like tone, visibly irritated see he was frustrated,he spurred his Esper powers into action and denied the existence of the spell that was holding him in place.
He crossed his arms while saying: "As i have told you before,I am here to ensure the safety of Sverre,Index and Garasu,as for me,i'm just fine, except for some annoying 'occurrences' (with which he quite clearly meant their encounters) nothing is hurting me" and with a slight smirk he whispered "although dealing with you has proven to be a pain."

Will's random trail of thought was interrupted by the knocking. He got up and wandered gloomily over. Yip could see the door yanked open in a way which really showed his mood.
"I assume your anti skill?" He said, eyeing up Yip. He was surprised to see a beanie being worn inside, but nothing was really beyond thought in this city.
"Come in, do you want a drink or something?" He wandered over to the counter, leaving Yip to close his door. He turned, realising he was being slightly rude, yet making little effort to console it.
"So," he said, bringing Yips drink as he sat down next to the surface. "What is it you want to know?"

Nyanko's gaze looked sad for just a moment before it hardened. She turned towards Index who was still cowering, " If I leave you here, can you promise me you won't harm Sverre-san and that you will answer his questions in a way that means we can leave?" Index nodded quietly scooting forward slightly towards Sverre. Nyanko stood dusting her hands off, she found it strange that they were so dusty. She reached down her eyes glowing as she seamlessly lifted Jinx from the carpet and dragged him past Sverre and Index out the door which she closed with her foot. She pushed him against the wall and stood before him not obviously hostile, but making it clear that he wasn't going back inside until she decided so. She let him squirm under her gaze at that moment. Finally, she seemed to decide to take a better approach.
"Jinx, I'm sorry to be a pain in your side, and I'm sorry you feel like you have to avoid me, because I have the sense we aren't very different people all said." She leaned heavily on her Left leg which caused her hair to part and he could see the outline of bandages around her chest that wrapped up around her neck. "I don't think you're lying to me, I think you're the one being lied to. Right before I threw those men you killed out on the street I went through their minds. They'd received orders from someone to attack me." Her gaze was still unfocused on him, "Do you know what it is like to have someone breathing in your face that you don't want there, and having the power to tear him apart but having morals that stop you. It's disgusting. And it's what someone on your side ordered, and he would have done a lot more than breathing on me given the chance." She turned to look at him again, "They are safe, I'm certain of that. Index and Sverre are safer than you can imagine right now, and Garasu can take care of herself if she believes in her powers enough."
She rested her hand on his shoulder, a movement that left her vulnerable to a trained attack, "So why don't you let me see what you were actually told to do so that I can confirm you and your people aren't actually a threat to the people behind this door. And if you can't do that, then maybe you should bring me home to meet daddy dearest and I'll have a chat with him about protection for them."

Garasu was running down the hallway of her apartment building and out onto the street. She was running to kill Index. She arrived and set up the runes to prevent anyone else from entering the area and there was Index. But Garasu looked at one of the reflections in a window for a moment, and when she looked back it wasn’t Haru defending Index, it was Shikaku. Garasu coldly began the sweep spell and the target was set on Shikaku and Index. The cuts began to break out along Garasu’s arms and she saw herself double over and cough up blood as black as tar it kept coming out of her mouth and began to fill up the street. Shikaku and Index didn’t even seem to notice she was there, that they were about to be destroyed by her spell, that she was about to die. As the black tar rose over her head and her vision faded to black, the last thing she saw was fire and brimstone falling on and destroying the two girls. She suddenly started to swim upwards. She didn’t want to die, She didn’t want to lose. She emerged from the tar as one would emerge from the ocean. She grabbed onto a raft made of boxes and crates and stood on top of it to look at her opponent. It was a woman with brown hair. Garasu’s vision turned pink and she threw the mirror in her hand at the woman. The next thing she knew she was straddling the woman and her fist was raised in the air and in her hand was a knife. “I surrender” Garasu brought the knife down and more tar flowed from the wound. The woman screamed and suddenly it was Shikaku’s scream. Garasu was standing at the side of a lab bed checking instrumentation and noting vitals as Shikaku screamed. Garasu ran from the room down a hallway filled with mirrors. In each mirror she saw herself in some part of academy city. Moment’s later one horrible disaster or another would occur in the scene, Garasu knew it was the version of her in the mirror causing the destruction. In every scene she saw herself laughing and she laughed too. It felt like she was running down the hallway for years, but then suddenly she was at the end of it and facing a mirror. In the mirror she saw herself standing next to Shikaku who was still screaming on the table. She saw herself picking up syringe to inject another dose of chemicals into Shikaku’s brain. She prepared to jump into the image but as she did the mirror broke and behind it was another mirror with just herself in it. She jumped into this mirror and grabbed her throat trying to strangle the life from it as cuts broke out across her arms and she coughed up blood.
Garasu woke up. The level upper still playing in her ears; she looked at the clock but her vision was apparently still to blurry to make out the time. Garasu sat there breathing heavily for a moment. She sat up from the bed and walked across the room to her mirror. And her reflection reached through the mirror and grabbed her neck, squeezing.
Garasu sat up in her bed screaming and covered in sweat. She sat there breathing heavily for a moment, and then checked the clock. It was still the same day, she’d been asleep almost three hours. Garasu walked over to the mirror nervously and looked into the reflection. She was covered in mud and dirt. But that was all she noticed there. Garasu went to take a shower and put on a clean set of clothes. She returned to her mirror took a deep breath and then formed the image of a stuffed bear in her hands with in the reflection. She caused the version of herself in the mirror to reach through, and hand her the bear. The image rippled as the bear passed through, but when Garasu grabbed hold of it, it was solid and real. She sat down on the bed holding the bear tightly. She was more powerful now. She never could have done that before. She was no longer limited to doing things within the reflections. She could bring the images into reality. Garasu shuddered, but then she steeled herself and called forth Shikaku’s image in the mirror.
“Garasu-chan! You look like you’ve seen a ghost!”
“Hi Shikaku-chan, would you step towards me please?”
“But your…” Shikaku was surprised by the request.
“Yeah I know, just try it.” Garasu was finally smiling now.
Shikaku looked confused but stepped forwards, out of the mirror, and gasped. “Garasu…”
Garasu smiled with tears in her eyes. “It’s not perfect, I have to concentrate on keeping you here… but I think I can get stronger still.” As she said this Garasu motioned to the teddy bear in her arms.
Shikaku looked at the bear “Garasu-chan I haven’t seen you with that thing since we were kids! How did you…” the bear disappeared and Garasu gave a wry smile.
Garasu told Shikaku about the day, every detail except for her dream she didn’t even want to think about the dream. Shikaku was as confused by the way Garasu had won her fight as Garasu was. She seemed dubious and concerned about the LEVEL UPPER but couldn’t deny that it had apparently worked. Garasu decided to go and check on Haru and Index, but realized she didn’t have their number. She did know where they lived, so she and Shikaku left the house and started walking there.

So Nyanko Could move Jinx, Sverre Said "Ende og slipp", breaking the spell. He was actually a little proud of himself, that actually worked just as intended. Now if only he could get that Empathy spell working so people could understand him....
He smeared a bit drop of blood across his face before it could drip, he looked up at Index and droned blandly, "If he did have dishonourable intentions, it may have been too late by the time we found out. I needed to see you again to warn you about what he told me. I was guessing you'd rather hear it from me than him and we were moving closer anyway," Sverre pointed to their new apartment's address, "I was lost to know what else to do." Index seemed to lean forward intently after he said that. She subtly slid back about a foot, Sverre getting her out of his personal space.

Yip continued to grin even as the door was yanked open and the sullen face of the skinny English boy came into view. At the boys question Yip's grin turned into an actual smile "Nope, I'm not Anti-Skill. Too many people in it for me to be all of em. But I am Anti-Skill officer Alister Hayashi" He said in his usual strange mixture of accents, Will being able to pick up on a hint of English but it was obvious at how fluently he said everything that he had been speaking Japanese all his life.
When he noticed Will looking at the beanie Yip continued to smile but his eyes seem to harden until the boy turned away. When he was left at the door Yip stood there confused if he should go in or not, not moving until he was told to he could. "Sure. I'm never one to pass up on a free drink." He silently closed the door behind him and walked over to the tabletop.
He wasn't particularly interested in the apartment and instead looked around for what was making that smell. He still hadn't eaten and it was gonna be hell talking to this guy with that smell wafting around. When Will walked back over Yip took the drink from him with a happy exclamation of "Cheers" before giving the contents a slight sip. Once he seemed happy there was nothing wrong with it he downed the entire glass in a few mouthfuls.
When Will asked his question Yip gave a slight chuckle of amusement. "What I want to know? A place that gives away free food would be nice." He looked at Will's still glum face and rolled his eyes. "Fine. Hang on a sec then." He placed the glass on the counter before swinging the backpack off and searching through it, showing Will an assortment of clothes and odd bits and ends. "Ah here it is." Yip pulled out a battered looking notepad and pen. Setting the pack back on his back Yip looked back at Will, still grinning but less than before.
"Right so basically I need your name and address. After that just tell me what happened, where, when, who and how and I'll see if I need to know anything else."

Index stood up and marched over to the sink wetting a rag. She moved to stand in front of him and leaned down running the rag over the underside of his nose which left the rag with a bright red streak on the pure white surface. She smiled at him and lifted the hand he'd used to swipe his face up studying his fingers which had newly dried blood on them, "Sverre-san, Sverre-San. I asked you not to use magic. It will make you sick. I don't want that." She was frowning at him and he watched her running the rag over his fingers as gently as possible. The rag was becoming brown now as the dried blood and red blood turned the same scab color were removed from his hand. "Promise me you'll stop this destructive behaviour..." She dropped his hand back to his lap and lifted the other one inspecting it.
She was quiet as she studied it, "If you won't stop because I asked, you should stop for Nyanko-sama." She glanced out the door which was slightly ajar to see the barest outline of Nyanko's black skirt and shapely leg. "She is worried for you. She is tired and worried." She dropped his hand and scooted back out of his space smiling lightly. "Sverre-san, Haru protects me, and many others. His intentions might be dangerous, but I will be alright." She smiled broadly, in a way that conveyed incredible innocence as well as happiness. "However, if you're very worried about me you could join the church. We always take in those that are lost or in need." At that he heard a meow and a kitten's head popped up at the chin of her nun's habit and it cocked its furry head at Sverre.
With this the serious attitude Index had broke to pieces. "SPHINX!" She cried happily folding her arms to hug herself and the cat. "Sphinx! This is Sverre, he's lost like you were. But we are going to take him in. Our father who art in heaven would be very pleased with this."

Sverre, although didn't exactly have the most nuanced or greatest ranged facial expressions seemed slightly annoyed. In reality, that wasn't the case at all. He wasn't slightly annoyed; he was bloody boiling. Lady, get the (please do not swear) out of my personal space was his most emulating thought, every psychokinetic within a 5 block radius could probably feel the barely contained frustration that gave him half the mind to fling this girls hands right off him. He suppressed the urge, he understood that she was only trying to help - didn't mean that he had to look like he was enjoying it.
He wore the almost-grumpy look as she pleaded again, for him to stop casting magic - what's her problem? He didn't do it that much anyway. It wasn't like he was a sorcerer or anything. The glimpse of a hard expression softened when she mentioned Nyanko. He didn't put her through anymore - her getting used to him was hard enough for her, did he really want to explain his interest in magic too? As he thought about it he sorta phased out though the proselytizing until she yelled - which was VERY annoying - snapping him back to reality. His leading thought was how uncomfortable that cat looked in her embrace.
He finally spoke, his voice breaking at first, "Can I ask you what exactly you think I've lost? I am very organized, I know my way around, I know where possessions are and if you know of something that I missed, don't know about or is mine but beyond my possession that the church knows about, can you just give it back or let me know at least?" He said monotonically calmly, barely an inflection per usual.
He also struck an ultimatum: "Okay, how about I will stop using magic if you teach me every thing you know about the culture and history of it - something that is becoming ACTUALLY lost. Starting with this." He reached into his bag that hung off his shoulder, all of the laminated remnants of the saga that has been the source of most of the magic as of yet. He held out all the parchments to show, the old paper looking like animal skin kept intact inside the clear plastic. The page on top was the title page for the 7th chapter which, in old runic text, read. 'Sørlige hedningland magi Abrahamspakten trylleformler: Å rival himmelen fri for Eden tragiske vraket'
-translated: 'The southern heathens/Ambrahamic spells: To rival Heaven free of their Eden's tragic wreck.'

Jinx realized that no matter what he would say,it wouldn't be enough to satisfy Nyanko and stop her curiosity. He slowly raised his arm not to alarm her, grabbed the hand that was on his shoulder and put it against his head. "Go ahead, nothing i can say will be enough anyway, take a look for yourself."
(this is what Nyanko would see should she look inside his head)
------------------------------------------------------------ It was a sunny day, judging by the leaves,it was somewhere near the end of August,Jinx was lying on the grass. Duke Einzberg was at home so Jinx knew he could relax, nothing ever happened when he was here,he managed to stop them,Jinx was safe right now.
A chilling wind blew through his hair as Jinx slowly took a sitting pose, his eyes suddenly widened towards the point that you would say they'd fall out,in the distance,at the gate of the Einzberg estate,he could see a wounded girl. He got up and ran towards her at an inhuman speed "Elise,Elise, what happened!" he yelled as hard as he could,he had just managed to reach her when she collapsed, just in time to catch her and break her fall. He felt fear,a fear he had never felt before, one of loss,he feared he would lose her:"Elise, don't worry, you'll be safe,I'll get you" he was cut off when he raised her right arm and tried to raise her left, the pain must've made her forgotten it,but she was wounded all over her body and lost her left arm,she pushed a note in Jinx's hand and with her dying breath said "Father must know abo" she coughed up blood and jinx responded "You can tell him yourself once you recovered,I'll get you there, don"'t worry",although he couldn't even convince himself she would make it,he said whatever he could to give her strength while tears flew down his face.
Her hand let go of his, leaving the note in his hand, her beautiful eyes slowly closed, leaving behind a peaceful expression, her face looked like that of an angel.
The memory turned black and cut to another location,it was dark outside and an old fashioned clock ringed midnight. Jinx was standing before the duke in a large office.
The duke looked at Jinx and explained: "We looked into the letter you gave us,it seems like they're planning something major, all of it seems centered around a young girl named Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum." He gave Jinx a moment to take in the info before he continued:"This girl seemingly contains info on Magic,as i have shown you before,i also possess some magical powers, but if the info is to be believed, the Magic possessed by this girl is capable of destroying the world."
Jinx was surprised,he never imagined something that powerful, but his Father wasn't one who would joke or lie,so he believed him. "You are to bring her and any others with magical knowledge here,we so far do not know of the resources our enemy possesses and as such, you are to be extremely careful,is that understood." Jinx quickly responded "Yes,Father"
The memory once more turned black, but this time cut off completely. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jinx turned his gaze towards Nyanko and said: "Do you believe me now?"

Will sighed outwardly, clearly showing he wanted this over. It was also fairly evident he wasn't impressed by Yip's sense of humour, although he forcefully smiled at the "jokes", trying not to upset. It was his way, allow most people to feel good, it certainly avoided confrontation.
"Will Forrest, Apartment 27 obviously.” He said, with an evidently surly tone. “Anari block, Osotagi district, Academy city.” The last two words came with a drop off in volume.
“I was taking a walk, around the district, I saw two girls fighting in an alley. One of them used some kind of mirror, the other had some kind of ground control thing.” He looked up to Yip, realising he’d missed a vital detail.
“They were both pretty powerful espers, but I tried to stop them with a few blast of win-“ He then stopped, wondering if Yip knew about his level. Fearing he’d given something away, he continued.
“I managed to separate them, but then the mirror one did something to me and I was sort of, teleported away.” He looked as if he was finalising.
“And that was it… do you need more?” Will said, considering putting the kettle on. He himself had felt a slight change come on, officially a mood swing. It was a kind of irrational sadness that he felt would have a meaning if he just looked.

"I know its obvious but I needed to hear you say it." Yip giggled, tongue between his teeth trying to avoid the too sharp canine as he jotted away in the note pad. He could remember everything Will had said but Anti-Skill where pretty up tight about needing some sort of record. Especially with him. Yip blinked as he realized he was frowning and went back to writing.
When Will finished with his talking Yip looked up at him with a thoughtful expression, continuing to stare at the guy tongue still slightly out. It was obvious that something wasn't fitting here and Yip was trying to find out what it was. Finally Yip said in a carefully measured tone which was in stark contrast to his happily fast pace before "Everything seems to be good. Just two things if you don't mind. Firstly can you remember where the fight happened exactly. Secondly what did you mean by blast of win?" Putting his tongue away Yip watched the guy carefully for the slightest sign of hostility.

Index looked up at Sverre from her cat which she was squishing against her head in almost as confused a way as he was shooting at her, "What do you mean, you mean you don't know you're lost? It's painfully obvious!" She stood up the cat perching on her head and meowing again, "I mean Our Father Who Art In Heaven makes it clear" she emphasized the beginning of each word in a way that was almost painful, "She plopped back down this time father away from him and folded her arms, "Haru-san said he thought you were confused about lost." She smiled in a way that was almost painfully happy and innocent to Sverre, "I was going to say you've lost your way in this world. You are confused by people and their actions. You need a home, a place to think and learn, and churches are meant for such soul searching." She made a funny face at him while lifting Sphinx from her head, "I mean if you've lost something else of course we'll help you look for it, but I was talking about your life meaning and soul." She grinned again at him, "If you were part of the church I might accidentally tell you all about magic."
She paused to tickle Sphinx's belly glancing up at the book in his hand her eyes widening. Her voice shrank to a whisper, "Sverre-san, you shouldn't have copies of such things. They are dangerous, if the Roman Catholics knew..." her sentence trailed off and she reached out trying to snatch it from him, "Give it here, I'll have Haru destroy it." She shook her head as Sverre withdrew the copy, "Sverre-san, I can only share my knowledge with the church." She bounced Sphinx on her lap, "Sphinx here knows lots of things about magic" she held the cat up googling at it and grinning, "don't you kitty. You know lots." She looked up at Sverre looking worried. "If you give me that book and others like it, and stop using magic ever, and join the church then I'll tell you somethings." ________________________________________________
Nyanko drew back away from Jinx in horror. Perhaps the great irony of his last few days was that he'd read so many books on how to deal with psychics, while all the while the information necessary resided in his mind. Magic. Nyanko staggered back away from Jinx holding her head. Magic was real? If that was the case then...her mind trailed off as she backed against the railing grabbing it to steady herself and beginning to dry heave. "It...it can't be...you have to be lying. There is no such thing as magic. It is all just Esper powers that others want to call voodoo and mumbo-jumbo." Her pink hair was coming loose from her bun and falling around her face as she continued to hold onto the railing.
For several long minutes she just clutched the railing before Jinx and tried to make sense of everything. Finally, after the silence was too long, and too painful she finally looked up her green eyes somehow duller and less sparkling. She moved towards the door her hand meeting the handle before she finally turned towards Jinx, she didn't look at him, "I don't know about you or your family. I don't know what I know anymore, but I know I don't trust something about the way you people deal...whatever it is, I can't handle it now." She opened the door and finally looked at him, he could see a genuine quality to her face, it was sorrow, "I'm sorry about Elise...she was beautiful." And then she stepped through the door leaving it open for him to follow. She sat down in the kitchen to wait for Sverre, like a good bodyguard.

Sverre looked at her as if she was speaking backwards in an foreign language from another planet in a parallel universe. He had no idea of the concepts she was espousing. "Life doesn't have inherent meaning," he responded coldly and blandly, "it is just a series of self replicating, self sustaining chemical reactions and there has been, so far, no material evidence that we are anything more, there is no more soul to us than our electrochemical brain states - point to where the soul resides? What is its anatomy? Physiology?. We make our own meaning up and I'm quite content with mine."
When she lunged for the pages he hovered them so the rested against the ceiling, out of reach. He knew she might do this, that's why the protection seal was in his synthetic biology text book with them as well. A ribbon with Nordic runes written on them floated out of Sverre's bag and wrapped it wound the pile of laminated pages twice - once across and once along its height. Sverre plucked some hairs from his head which he also telekinetically floated them up to where there's a join between the ribbons. Sverre said calmly, "Slik at bare jeg kan skade deg". A seal formed where the ribbons joined. He gave his temple a rub - it wasn't an intensive spell but he still felt it - and the now bound bundle floated back into his hand.
He handed the laminated pages to Index, "I know you know that that protection spell can only be broken by me. Haru won't be destroying them anytime soon." He didn't give them to her because he knew he was the only one that could harm them now, he gave them to her because, like all the hard-copy megical writings which weren't still in Norway he had found, they had not only been scanned onto his laptop, but stored (and some distributed) over the internet. He looked at her less coldly again. She had hardly seen much facial expression in his face but she saw a slight smirk - one might think he was feeling more comfortable but rather he was challenging the nun. "Your Church is a place of learning? I like learning. And I might as well give you a chance to demonstrate your claims of a soul or objective meaning."
He walked out and quickly shuffled to Nyanko's side. He suspected there might be a chance she was in some distress, but he wasn't sure. "Are you okay?" She said with his head tilted distinctively.
