I was just thinking about our earlier discussion about the tyranids possibly being created by the c'tan. The question of why the ctan would make them was posted. I was thinking that Maybe the outsider created the tyranids to have a sort of soul harvesting competition with the nightbringer and deceiver. It could happen TheSwarm

I doubt that tyranids were made by the C'tan, they are too deeply associated with the Warp for it to make sense. Not to mention, the method by which they harvest souls (if, in fact, they do) makes it unlikely for another race with souls to ever come about in that area for a very, very, very long time.

Me too. The C'tan have power to destroy life, not to create it. But if that is true... That would rock!!!

i personaly hate tau and wish all thous blue, pace loving, alien freaky space hippies would bulid a empire so big so it can go into civil war and blow its self up then the tyranids could come and eat the remains.
And i don`t think tyranids will ever rule the univers because without people or aliens to feed on they would just devolve.

Yeah well that's still not a reason for them not to rule the universe. The way i see it is if, they are left alone for a few centuries, they continue to expand, and improve, they will soon have the most advanced weapons in the universe. If the Eldar follow Eldrad's example and share their stuff with the Tau, then they can also hold on. Humans will only survive as gue'la, and i think they'll be respected, sort of. Then it all depends on whether or not the Tau have a 'fall'

Bah, whoever wrote that Eldrad line was smoking something. It was completely out of the eldar character. I choose to disregard it as canon.
