I thought that was also obvious...
with half of the world being nerds... and 5-10% of the world being gay... i don't see how it is a stretch that there are some gay people :-)

Seriously, I have NEVER met another gay gamer. I know a few guys that play WoW but even they look down on me for Warhammer.

Well I have to admit none of the girls I know refer to things as sexy. We say things like cute, pretty, beautiful, or dreamy.
Sexy is really more of a guy word to be honest.....
I also think just as far as wanting to be treated equally I wouldn't ever put up a scantily clad lictor thingy as my avatar. I almost said I was male just so I wouldn't have a chance of running into any creepers.

That probably would have been a good call the hive isn't like that though... and unless you are working on the trade channel (which i have never actually been on) there really shouldn't be any need to try and avoid creepers... Seriously, I have NEVER met another gay gamer. I know a few guys that play WoW but even they look down on me for Warhammer. I can assure you I have never met one either... the other gay guy around here sticks to the stereotype... dresses on Halloween, fashion, saying "fabulous" about everything... and jokingly saying that basketball is there favorite sport. I am not a fan of him personally...

@logic: How are people who play wow looking down on 40k... I tried playing wow before... really a dumb game. It's on the same level of RS in terms of entertainment, that almost kind of adds a FpS to its programing.
Then again... I am guessing they are the kind of people who don't like getting off their asses and prefer typing over talking huh? :-)

I have never really played wow before but I have a friend who plays it and Warhammer and like both. The part he doesn't like is that I always beat him ;D, but what can you do?
Anyways, if a person looks down on anyone else they are not worth your time, tell them to Zog off.

wait am I a girl to you Loplod? I mean I have to admit when I read that it seemed kinda far fetched since all the guys I have ever met would kill to date a nerdy girl. Most of the self describe as wanting a girl that games but then my curiosity got the better of me and I wondered if you think I am female or not? BTW I totally hear everyone on how it feels. Lately my parents have wanted me to make friends with more girls, but besides my dislike of females for their ninnyish behavior, I just lost a whole lot of friends when my local gaming store closed, and before that I lost more friends to a falling out, and before that I moved so I am just starting to feel like everyone will leave me anyway so why bother. :[ Yes Jaka you are also a girl. I hath spoken!

You know what I am wondering... where is all the "Die (please do not swear) Die" that I was expecting... that's usually what happens...

TTH is unlike other internet places, mate.
The surprisingly small amount of actual trolls is a good example. There are trolls, sure, but they're not quite as many as everywhere else.

Wait, what, this was just a fuckload of weird information. Was any of this sarcastic? Or did Salut finally learn how to hack? I can't keep track of who's the girl, gay and gamer, but honestly I don't care.
If there's one thing that you absolutely don't expect to see on the internet, it's honesty, kindness and openmindedness. Never the less, I welcome it when I see it, and I salute (salmut?) wisdomseyes for taking the courage to share this with us.
This is a forum about plastic dinosaurs. Yet, it's the first forum I've ever been on, in which users that actually do not play Tyranids (or Warhammer, even) still hang around and comment on stuff. I'm not saying "that it's so amazing, praise Jebus", but rather that I feel somewhat honoured when someone actually cares to open up about ones feelings.
Kind of makes you believe that there is still for the internet. Mankind, however, is screwed.
When looking back, I too realize that some of the best relationships I ever had, was with people I met through the internet. I later met up with some of them and got to know them past their signature and avatar, but the point still stands: the internet may or may not be a great place to make new connections, just as it may or may not be a good place to download porn.
I'm from Denmark and many a times have I wished that this country would have housed just a few more Tyranid players, Warhammer-geeks or just people that knows that Lol isent Loads of Love.
Bleergh, I'm pretty sure I had a point somewhere, but I lost it I guess...

That picture is obviously not of you, Tomato. Way to light and shiny and idyllic to have been taken in Svärige!

Good heavens no, that would not be nearly depressing enough. As a matter of fact, this is me. In an, i might add, sadly beardless state on this particular picture.
