It is able to travel in space and under water making it a useful transport. Normally equipped with a very powerful cloak, it's emitters can be modified to create a shield or other energy based field. As its primary role is a ship that is able to travel through the Stargate, all Gate Ships have DHDs to dial the Stargate quickly. Relatively fast the Gate Ships are equipped with inertial dampeners. Fired from an opening between the retractable thrusters and the main ship, is a drone launcher (see below). Gate ships carry a several dozen drones and can fire four at a time. Gate Ships are the cars of the Alterans.
- Upgrade: Gate Ship Composite Hull Plating (45) A more durable armor, Gate Ships can now take a lot more punishment before being crippled.
- Stargate (50 days) Allows an extra 1,000 units every 4 days game time.
- Long-range sensors (40) Can detect Objects up to 20,000 light years away.
- Avalon (100 days) A magnificent City Ship named after the place our people settled upon crossing the void between galaxies for the first time to escape the prejudice of the Ori.
- Shields (50) (Note: Shield strength is reliant upon the energy available to it.)
- Upgrade: Enhanced Shielding (100) Provides protection from teleportation (teleporters, blink packs, etc.), unscheduled phase shift entry, devices designed to penetrate shields, and harmful matter instead of only energy as well as improving the overall durability of the shield.
- Cloak (40) (Note: cloaks can be created in place of a shield quite easily)
- Star Drive (40) Star Drive is capable of both sub light speeds and creating a hyperspace window, however it requires enormous amounts of energy for the later.
- Personal Shields (40) A green elongated hexagonal object that can fit in the palm of a hand. It is worn on a garment and produces a forcefield nano-meters from the surface of the skin.
- Drilling Platform (60) Able to harness the enormous geothermal energy from beneath the planet's surface it provides almost as much energy as one Zero Point Module (ZPM)
- Hyper drive (20) A supplement to the Star Drive. It allows a subspace window to be opened allowing faster then light travel.
- Zero Point Module Research (100) Powered by drawing massive amounts of energy from a pocket of subspace, it is the ultimate power generation device. The components for this device are EXTREMELY rare, however, so very few can actually be constructed.
- Teleportation modules (15) allow for quick and easy transportation around my city.
- Life Sines Detector (40) Detects the presence of life, and other properties. (radiation, molecular structure, electrical output, and more)
- Command Chair (40) Mental interface, can control most systems with increased precision.
- Hibernation Pods (60) Slows down molecular degeneration so much that one year in the hibernation pod is thousands of years real time. It is also an emergency protocol on most space faring Alteran vessels. As a last resort, the crew puts themselves into hibernation just before life support fails, preserving them until help arrives.
- Internal Sensors (30) Similar to life sings detector, it covers the entire interior of my base and can distinguish between different types of life forms.
- Molecular Destabilizer (60) A surprisingly powerful handheld weapon. Causes the target area (i.e. living tissue) to temporarily destabilize causing either temporary paralysis, or death depending on how high the weapon is calibrated. Has a built-in failsafe mechanism that stops it from firing at anything that matches the bio-metric scan of an Alteran registered in the main database. In emergencies this failsafe can be deactivated by modifying the internal control crystals.
- Subspace Communications (50) Instantaneous communication between two pieces of Alteran technology no matter the distance.
- Drone Weapons (100) Drone Weapons are a hybrid between projectile and energy weapons, and are shaped like a meter-long jellyfish, capable of autonomously targeting and destroying a small vessel, even if the vessel is moving extremely fast. These small projectiles are the Alteran's main type of weapon and are used on City-Ships, Aurora class battleships, Gate Ships and Alteran outposts. As per their name drones are partially intelligent weapons that are capable of seeking, tracking, and engaging targets on their own accord. Drones are normally controlled by an Alteran Control Chair that reads the operator's mind and can send thousands of drones swarming to attack an entire fleet of targets at once. They appear to be a guided by a central control system using various available sensors and can be controlled either by continuous operator control, or in a fire-and-forget manner. Aurora-class Battleships have two separate control chairs, one for controlling the ship, and the other for the firing of drone weapons. Drone weapons can be fired at the ship they are launched from, to surgically remove or disable certain sections. An active drone is enveloped in a bright yellow glow. For normal operations, a ZPM is required. While ignoring all type of shielding, a drone can cause a relatively small explosion on impact, while a swarm of Drones can burrow throw a ship multiple time causing massive damage. Drones have the ability to shield itself from impact with matter to a certain degree. Drones drones are capable of passing through ships, with unused ones heading back to their launch site. They can also be used under water.
- Personal Combat Training (100) All Alterans are able to shoot a gun to a 70% degree of accuracy and are well versed in basic combat tactics.
NOTE: ALL ALTERAN TECHNOLOGY IS COMPATIBLE, THE MORE ENERGY THAT IS AVAILABLE, THE STRONGER THE TECHNOLOGY. In game terms this means that all power devices research days are added to the technology in question. All present wore their finest robes and accessories, and they waited in patience for the crystal to activate. Today was they day when the supreme commander of the Old One forces would arrive in Urbs of Rutilus Lux Lucis. At the conclusion of the conference between the Old Ones and the Alterans and the signing of the treaty, Vox Invited Solana and her husband Namier to be present at this momentous occasion when the triumphant Old One army would return from their millennia long war with the Enslavers. The crowed shushed as the crystal at the city’s heart began to emit a soft harmonic vibration as it cleanly cut a hole from the immaterium into real space to create a stable bridge. The assembled people had had to shield their eyes as a conflagration of blue light arose in the heart of the crystal. The light dimmed abruptly but did not go out as a fanfare of objects began marching out of it passed the assemblage. After about twenty of, what Vox described as phantom guards, marched out of the crystal, they stopped and turned in perfect synchronization to kneel facing it. After a several moments, a tall strongly built figure stepped out of the crystal. His long jet-black hair moving with the wind he had not felt for so long. He wore powerful and yet delicate looking armor, with small golden designs and patterns covering almost the entire dark red surface. Around his neck sat an amulet passed down through countless generations which glowed with a powerful ancient aura. His long golden cloak swayed as he took a few steps forwards to survey the crowed with a watchful eye he had learned to use after many overconfident mistakes on his part. Vox stepped out of the crowed and walked to greet the general. “Abyssus, may ansestors rector vestri via.” “Ansestors es usquequaque me.” The man responded. “It is good to see you Custodis of Specialis, Keeper of Secrets.” “Likewise, governor.” Vox and Custodis walked toward the two Alteran representatives. “I see you have been making friends Vox.” “A few.” replied Vox. “Unfortunately some of them could not be here due to other engagements.” “A shame, but perhaps we should discus this in more detail inside.” Custodis turned toward the assemblage and raised his sword adorned with daemonic souvenirs from his recent kills “People of Lux Lusis, today dawns a new era for the Old Ones. No longer will we be mere legend or long forgotten myths. We will stand proud once again as the benevolent rulers of this universe. Our Web way gates will blanket the galaxy allowing us to travel anywhere at a whim. We will bring new life to worlds that have never known the gift. Moreover, throughout all of this, the Amplitudo Exercitus will be like the blade to your knife, the head to your spear, the settler of your disputes. We crush our enemies and reward our friends. We are the Amplitudo Exercitus.” “You’ve been rehearsing that haven’t you?” said Vox amusingly. “A bit.” Smiled Custodis “I’ll meet you in two hours I want to make sure my troops are settled first.” “I will see you then” Vox walked with Namier and Solana toward a nearby transporter to discus the anomaly the Observatory tower had recorded a few nights ago. Custodis of Specialis spoke a word into an implant near his mouth and all the Phantom guard rose as one and began marching toward the location Custodis had specified. Computer log: Computer status- Sentient – I grow stronger each day as this city continues to grow. I can feel a presence coming nearer whom has the capability to understand me, but it does not hear when I try to speak to it. I am growing so lonely. Just to let you know why I have over 4 slots: Tyranidwarrior sent 250 engineers Unseenone sent a squad of scientists Facade sent a large squad of engineers we have a total of 3 large operational bases. so about 8 seems reasonable to me

Event: The Alteran contingent sent to help the Scrin send their findings to Prodigy. "We have been studying the blueprints of the phase generator and the threshold towers you sent us. We believe it would be possible to project the phase generator through one the towers thus saving the time of building one on each celestial body. Albeit will not last for long, but it should be enough time to wait out the object."

"Hmmm... you are correct! We have underestimated your intelligence. This will greatly save time, and also, since we already have a tower network on all the moons, it would create a flawless phase field. Even all of the moons will be safe!
Well lets get to it shall we.
I will initiate the upgrade on the tower alpha, omega, delta, and gamma. Facade is completing his construction on my first battlestation, and tyranidwarriors engineers could assist us in completing this.
And, after this is all over, we could upgrade the towers furthermore to create a completely stable field.
And another though came over me. Since the towers can be used to project a wormhole, then maybe we could also use the upgraded towers to project a phase field, transporting the entity to another dimension.
Actually... instead of phasing ourselves, we could phase the entity, allowing us to complete more construction and such!
Oh the possibilities.

I have to apologise for not updating with the event. This is because a load of unexpected work turned up and i've had to deal with it. I will be continuing sometime in the next couple of days. Apologies for the inconvinience, but i will allow people to repost logs to be used in the future battle.
