We've been misreading the rules: Revisit the Maleceptor

I pretty much gave up on the FAQs after they released the most recent rounds. I mean, they clearly got some questions, and clearly decided they weren't important enough to answer. If it's not worth their time, it's not worth mine

Yea... GW hasn't issued FAQs in a long time.. and emailing them isn't likely to get a really official response. You can just go look at the FAQs as they stands to figure that one out. You'll likely just get the opinion of the person responding to the email, which is why they generally will not answer rules related questions via email. Too strong a chance of getting multiple "official" rulings.. cause hey, it came from a GW employee right?

Because I'm a contrary (please do not swear), like I said. I do not expect any kind of FAQ from their many years of lackadaisical support. Ball's in their court to prove me wrong.

I am sure you will not be disappointed in their lack of response.

I bet the response will be something along the lines of "well it says you roll to hit, so you roll to hit" - and he will be totally oblivious of the argument that the outcome of the roll doesn't matter (but you still roll).
Perhaps someone send a link to this thread to GW haha

Maybe a hand-written letter would get more attention

Maybe a hand-written letter would get more attention From what I read, it actually does. A few people who took the time with pen and paper and sent in a Self Addressed Self Stamped Envelope gets a written response back. A lot of times it's not what they wanted but it seems GW is old school that way and replies to snail mail but just deletes all the emails. Email is lazy. I am sure GW gets 1000s if not 10 000s of emails a day. If you can take the time to write a letter, and mail it, it seems GW can take the time to reply.

Funny cause back in i think it was 5th edition i got 15 people to email GW over the course of a month and then the next month they answered the question in a FAQ.
And I sent a link to this thread, the one on Dakka Dakka, the MWG video and hte MWG thread
