tyrannocyte modification

I am finally building my first tyrannocyte and I decided for 2 reasons not to add the tentacles on the side of the pod.  One because I don't like how they look and 2 because I want to use them for my mucolid.  Instead I am planning on using scything talons.  My first choice is do I want the talons themselves or do I want some arm holding them away from the side?


Another option is I add a second set of plates to the spore like this


I am leaning toward with the arm but the second option of more plates is growing on me.  let me know what you guys think.

I havent put mine together yet, but Im feeling really uncomfortable with those little tentacles on the bottom holding up the whole thing...In fact, Im super paranoid about it. Are they strong enough for the job?

I am worried about the weedy tentacles as well. it seams sturdy but since I have been worried I have been pretty gentle with it. I will see after a few months of moving it around.

Mine seems to be surviving but I haven't had it for very long.

I also wish I had left off the side tentacles, not to make a mucolid but just cause it is even harder to store and transport since i worry about those snapping ff as well.

I did the side tentacles on my first pod, because it's magnetized for conversion to a sporocyst. Future ones will not be convertible, and will probably follow your lead with the scytals. Nice idea!

i didn't put the side tentacles on either. they both look ridiculous and make the model too large to transport or move on the board easily.

Use plastic cement, not super glue for a good bond. It's actually really sturdy.

And, if you don't glue the top half on, the base+tentacles+bottom half make a lovely wineglass.

No tentacles used. The tyrannocite floating the way it was designed by gw makes no sense in a universe still subject to gravity. All that bone, muscle and chitin would be far heavier than the gas filled sac at the bottom.

And they're what 8" tall with the tentacles on them? Untransportable.

I used no tentacles and glued the feeder arms to the base, then green stuffed the slots for the tentacles to look like more bubbles in the gas sac. 6 inches tall approximately.
