How to make mucolid spores and spore mines?

I have seen guys proxy the forge world meiotic spore sacs for mucolids. it's $30 for 3 of them. If you don't want to spend $30 then here is a cheap conversion www.spikeybits.com/2015/04/cheap-n-easy-mucolid-conversion.html

I plan to try using the spare Carnifex carapace parts as two halves of the Mucolid Spore "shell" - they're rounded enough, and the non-smooth ones craggy enough, that slapped onto a ball of putty with a few smaller bits like toxin sacs here and there, and green stuff tentacles of course, they should look reasonably good.

Well, that's the theory anyway.

Buy a Tyrannoctye, make the legs out of green stuff, or use Venomthrope tentacles, or see if you can snag the Mucolid tentacless off eBay

there's a product called tentacle maker, or using milliput/greenstuff for tentacles. For the body, I used ping pong balls covered in hot glue and a little bit of greenstuff for details. stuck a brass wire through the bottom onto a base I bought from gw. Looks great, matches the style of tyranid "creep" on my terrain, and was real cheap. I have like 40 of them in the works.

I would if I had one finished. right now I'm just sitting with 40 glue-covered ping-pong balls on sticks waiting to get tentacled. I'll ask my friend to take a picture of what I've got right now. I'm away from my models on an extended trip.

I saw a video on YouTube where you make it with 1 inch foam balls. You sculpt the mouth and put spikes or adrenal glands as spikes on it and you use a hot glue gun to make raised patterns. You use venomthrope tentacles or use green stuff for tentacles.

I don't know how custom you want to go, but I made my Mucolids out of a ball of modelling clay and spare Nid bits. I just poured glue over the clay to give it a hardened shell.
