This will be my last update. Sick from work, so surfing the net and SHOCKED to see so much negativity. What turned into an exciting project for me to do, I think we have finally come to a close. I hope you all enjoyed.
From Warpshadow, from Terrorfex.
*edit*Looks like these are from Jackedup from The Tyranid Hive. Sorry for any confusion. I just read the rumours first on Warpshadow since I was trying to stay away from negative posts.*
Again sorry

Just when I thought I was done posting rumours.
Sorry forgot where I read this first. Maybe someone here on TTH or Dakkadakka. Sorry about.
Some say it's a fake with existing artwork. Then again SoB had reused existing artwork for it's codex cover as well. So it's a rumour.

Massive grain of salt rumor: biovores might have bio acid spores again. 3rd party at a gaming store so probably not true, but sharing it.

Other than the barrage those are the same stats I heard. In line with the old codex.

INSTINCTIVE BEHAVIOUR
The new mechanic in the book is that instinctive behaviour is now lurk, feed, and hunt. Basically lurk means camping there, feed is assault, and hunt is shooting. If you fail leadership and they go on instinct, something bad happens on a 1-3 (lurkers fall back, shooters go to ground, feeders attack one another). On a 4-5 its something like can only assault, can only shoot, etc. On a 6 they gain a small bonus (feeders get rage, lurkers get stealth, shooters get preferred enemy.
WARLORD TRAITS
1 - Nature's Bane - At the beginning of each movement phase, select one jungle within 12' of the warlord. It becomes carnivorous for the game.
2 - Heightened Senses - Warlord and Nids within 12' have Night Vision.
3- Synaptic Linchpin - Warlord has 18' synapse
4 - Mind Eater - 2 VP for independents slain by warlord in a challenge.
5 - Digestive Denial - After deployment, pick one piece of terrain on opponent's side that was NOT paid for. Cover save worsens by one. (4+ becomes 5+, etc.)
6 - Adaptive Biology - Warlord gains FNP (5+) on next movement phase after it suffers a wound. (For rest of game)
FORCE ORGANISATION CHART
HQ - Hive Tyrant, Swarmlord, ld One Eye, Tervigon, Tyranid Prime, Deathleaper
Troops - Warrior, Genestealers, Termagants, Hormagaunts, Ripper Swarm
Elites - Hive Guard, Lictor, Zoanthrope, Venomthrope, Haruspex, Pyrovore (Ha ha! Pyrovore "Elite"!)
Fast Attack - Shrikes, Raveners, Red Terror (as part of ONE Ravener brood), Sky Slasher, Gargoyle, Harpy, Hive Crone, Spore Mine Cluster (how mines are "fast" attack is beyond me)
Heavy Support - Carnifex, Biovore, Trygon and Prime, Mawlc, Exocrine, Tyrannofex
PSYCHIC POWERS:
1. Catalyst - 1 charge
Blessing that targets psyker's unit and up to one other friendly within 12'. Targets gain FNP.
2. The Horror - 1 charge
Malediction targeting single enemy unit within 24'. Target takes a pinning test at -2 Ld
3. Onslaught - 1 charge
Blessing that targets a single friendly unit within 24'. Unit can both run and shoot in the shooting phase.
4. Paroxysm - 1 charge
Malediction targeting single enemy unit within 24'. Target's WS and BS reduced by D3 (roll once for both)
5. Psychic Scream - 1 charge
Nova power, 6'. For each target unit, roll 2D6+ 2 and subtract Ld. Unit suffers wounds equal to result, no armour or cover saves.
6. Warp Blast - 2 charges
Witchfire power, either burst or lance. This is the standard Zoanthrope Warp Blast.
CREATURES:
Hive Tyrant stat line: 165 pts, WS 8, BS 4, S 6, T 6, W 4, I 5, A 4, Ld 10, Sv 3+ ( Interesting: You now have to pay 20 points for lash / whip, or it comes with two sets of ST)
The Lictor has rending claws (one set), and one set of ST. It has flesh hooks (assault 2, user Str), stealth and Hit and run, phermone trail, infiltrate, and move through cover.
Stats are: WS 6 BS 3 S 6 T 4 W 3 I 6 A 3 Ld 10 Sv 5+ The Lictor's Pheromone trail says any model can drop within 6 inches of it when deep striking without scattering
Deathleaper - Infantry (Character), HQ, 130 points, Mind Eater Warlord Trait (2 vp for killing characters in challenge)
WS 9, BS 3, S 6, T 4, W 3, I 7, A 4, Ld 10, Sv 5+
Rending claws, ST, flesh hooks, Chameleonic skin, Deep Strike, Fear, Fleet, Hit & Run, Infiltrate, Instinctive Behaviur (Lurk), Move Through Cover, Phermone Trail, Stealth
-It's After Me! (Lower a character's Ld by D3)
- Where is It (Enemy models can only fire snap shots when targeting Deathleaper)
Ripper Swarm: 39 pts for 3 bases, +13 pts per base
WS 2 BS 2 S 3 T 3 W 3 I 2 A 4 Ld 5 Sv 6+ May take Spinefists, toxin sacs, adrenal glands, and deep strike.
Warriors are 30 points per model (I don't have the old book on me to refer)
Warrior stats are: WS 5 BS 3 S 4 T 4 W 3 I 4 A 3 Ld 10 Sv 4+
The Prime still boosts the warriors as always.
Zoanthropes are a psychic brotherhood (level 2), that always know warp blast. So they generate one more. Zoanthropes have Warp Blast psyker power. Takes 2 charges, and is 24' Str 5 AP 3, Assault 1 Blast, OR 18', Str 10, AP 2, Assault 1 Lance. A Zoanthrope brood follows all the rules for Brother hood pf Psykers except that the unit has a Mastery level of 2. In addition, if a brookd of Zoantrhopes uses the Warp Blast power, the number of shots fired is equal to the number of zoanthropes in that brood. (eg 3 Zoanthropes would make the burst and lance profiles assault 3)
Zoanthropes can take one other Psyker power as a brotherhood (they always have Warp Blast)
The Harpy (135 pts) and Crone (155 pts) are what everyone's looking at I suppose. Harpies haven't changed much, except the screech now gives the enemy -5 Init. There is no more giant spore mine bomb. The Crone is basically a flying flamer, with Str 5 Haywire missiles. I think you'll be taking them, because there's really no anti-air option otherwise.
Mawlock is the biggest improvement IMHO. Dropped to 140 points, and if it doesn't clear the area the S6 AP2 hit happens AGAIN. It also ignores cover now. Mind you, if it doesn't clear the area on the second try, you get a mishap roll. It also can't burrow on the very first turn like before, and loses the option for Regen.
The Trygon has gone up to 190 points, lost one attack, and...yeah. That's it. Everything else is the same. The Trygon Prime might actually see more use, there being a bigger need for synapse now. But 230pts is kind of extreme just for the synapse, no?
Haruspex (160 pts) WS 3, BS 3, S 6, T 6, W 5, I 3, A 3, Ld 7, Sv 3+
-Feeder Beast - If a Haruspex inflicts at least one unsaved one in the assault phase, it recovers a single wound at the end of that phase.
-Rapacious Hunger - In the turn in which it charges, every unsaved wound it inflicts in close combat allows it to make an additional attack. These bonus attacks cannot generate further attacks. Wounds that inflict instant death generate only one bonus attack, and wounds caused by HW, acid blood, or tail do not benefit from this rule.
-The Haruspex has a Grasping tongue - 12', S6, AP 2, Assault 1, Gulp!
Gulp! A to hit roll of a 6 is a precision shot.
Biovore (40 pts) WS 3, BS 3, S 4, T 4, W 3, I 2, A 2, Ld 6, Sv 4+
Spore Mine Launcher 48', S 4, AP 4, Assault 1, Barrage, Last Blast, Spore Burst
The Exocrine (170 pts) is kind of awesome, with Assault 6, Str 7, AP2 shots. Or it can drop a big blast. Park its butt for a round, and it's +1 BS. The Tyrannofex is dropped to 175 pts.
Carnifex (120 points) WS 3, BS 3, S 9, T 6, W 4, I 2, A 3, Ld 7, Sv 3+
Fearless, Instinct (Feed), Living Battering Ram (D3 Hammer of Wrath hits)
May replace ST with crushing claws (15 pts)
May take any bio-morph, spine banks (5 pts), or Bio Plasma (20 pts). May take Thresher scythe (10 pts) or Bone Mace (15 pts) tail morphs.
Raveners (30 pts per model) WS 5, BS 3, S 4, T 4, W 3, I 5, A 3, Ld 6, Sv 5+
Deep strike, Instinct (Feed), two pairs of ST. Any Ravener can exchange one pair of ST for Rending claws at 5 points per model.
Can take Spinefists (3 pts), Devourer (5 pts), Deathspitter (10 pts). One Ravener in the *army* may be upgraded to Red Terror for 85 points:
Red Terror WS 6, BS 3, S 5, T 5, W 3, I 5, A 4, Ld 8, Sv 4+
Two pairs of ST, Prehensile Pincer (see that tail list I posted up there), Deep Strike, Swallow Whole (if it hits with 4 attacks, it auto kills a guy. The guys gets his invuln save and that's it)
Hive Guard cost upped by 5 pts, not many rules changes. They have a Haywire gun they can take now.
Pyrovore looks about the same as well. Template weapon, acid maw, explode when you kill them, etc.
The venomthropes are kind of awesome, with their shrouded rule and poisoned 2+ attacks.
The Tervigon is now 195 points, and is mastery level 1.
Genestealers come with Rending claws, but yu can buy ST for 4 pts per model
Hormagaunts are Fleet, Move Through cover, and have bounding leap (run +3 inches)
WEAPONS:
Haywire: Crone has Haywire missles, and the Hive Guard can buy a Haywire "shock cannon". Also, the electroshock Thorax swarm is now Haywire.
One pair of talons gives you the amazing standard attack as stated on the profile, at AP 6.
Heavy Venom = 36', Str 9 AP 4, Assault 1 Blast
Venom = 36', Str 6 AP 4, Assault 1 Blast
Deathspitter 18', Str 5, Ap 5, Assault 3
Tyrannofex rupture cannon is 30 points, 48' range, S 10, AP4, Assault 2
The tail morphs are:
Bone Mace, S 8, AP - , Unwieldy
Prehensile Pincer, S 6, AP 5
Thresher Scythe, S 4, AP 4, Rending
Toxinspike, S 1, AP 6, Poisoned 2+
A tail attack allows a single added attack, resolved separately from a model's other close combat attacks. It doesn't benefit from other melee weapons, biomorphs, etc.

From Natfka
There are images out now revealing the dataslate penned in for Tyranids later this month; the Tyranid Vanguard. Some good things are in it, and of course possibly a let down depending on what you were expecting in this dataslate. I do not see Ymgarl Genestealers there. Of course with the latest leaks this May or may not be real.
Here is some of the information on the dataslate from the image. I have seen the image, but don't know where else its located right now. If I find where he found it, I will link it up. Of course this is a leaked image, and I wont comment right now on if its real or not (its a rumor).
Please remember that this is a rumor until something official is released.
via Stickmonkey on Faeit 212
3+ genestealer broods (1 must include broodlord, only 1 broodlord per formation)
3+ lictors one of which can be deathleaper
Every man for himself
On the round this unit arrives enters play, every unit within 36" must use the lowest leadership value of the unit when taking leadership tests.
Secret Deployment
Every unit in this formation must start in reserve and use Lictor's chameleonic skin rule for deployment

Just when I thought I was done posting rumours.
Sorry forgot where I read this first. Maybe someone here on TTH or Dakkadakka. Sorry about.
This just leaked on 4chan:
Image
Poster says that it will be accompanied by three releases:
Hierophant / Viciator Kit (WOW!)
Zoanthrope / Venomthrope Kit
Pyrovore / Biovore Kit
It wasn't explicitly stated but can be assumed they will all be plastic, replacing more of the current finecast that GW is trying to discontinue.
Someone posted this description of the Viciator Bio-Titan:

Some say it's a fake with existing artwork. Then again SoB had reused existing artwork for it's codex cover as well. So it's a rumour.

*RUMOR*
so i went to my local GW store today. in there today was a GW headquarters guy. him and i got to talking and he asked me what i played. i told him i played Nids and he says o man youre going to pretty excited this month. i said yea the rumors have it its new nids and he said well its confirmed it is. he tells me he is excited too b/c he plays nids.
i brought up the rumor of needing 30 terms for a troop tervi and he says yea but all gants and guants got cheaper (now i already knew this from rumors and he may have been playing off the rumors on the internet). i told him i was scared of the no pod rumor because i like to alpha strike. then he said well there was no model but they wouldnt remove the ability the pod gave us without new rules to give us the ability just without the pods. he then said you know like maybe nids can come up from the ground.
so take that with some salt and you could read into that response 100 different ways; but heres to hoping we didnt lose the ability to deep strike.

I will copy paste some of the stuff I wrote in the thread on 4chan, I wrote down all the info on the new unit pages.
Harpy
This multi-part plastic kit creates one
Harpy, an airborne Tyranid monstrosity
with a wingspan that dwarfs other
Warhammer 40,000 flyers such as the
Tau Sun Shark Bomber. A joy to
assemble, it also comes with the option
of swapping out its strangethorn
cannons for heavy venom cannons, plus
three different spore mine to rain
down on the heads of your enemies.
The Harpy comes with three spore mines, which
it creates and drops from its rear-facing spore
cysts. Each sports a subtly different design.
Haruspex
Sculpted by Mark Harrison, the Haruspex
miniature is a gloriously grotesque
centreouece fir any Tyranid collection. Its
key feature is undoubtedly its impossibly
distended jaw, a riot of feeding organs,
teeth and cruel claws dominated by a
talon-tipped grapsing tongue in the midst
of shooting out to ensnare a hapless (and
presumably short-lived) victim. Framing
this ghastly assemblage of mouthparts is a
pair of giant crushing claws, brutal close
combat appendages that can rip apart
Terminator armour and battle tanks alike.
Woe betide any soldier foolish enough to
stand in its way.
Exocrine
An alternative beast made from the
Haruspex kit, the Exocrine is a massive,
squat creature that sits midway between a
Carnifex and a Tyrannofex in size, and
looks daunting indeed as part of a Tyranid
gunline. The Bio-plasmic cannon its carries
is notable not just for its sheer mass, but
also for the six chambers that surround the
main apeture - the monster can fire either
multiple streams of vile plasma or a single
giant explosive blast. Stabilised on a
massive pair of middle limbs, the Exocrine
is hunkered down and ready to fire; no
enemy is safe from its hellish payload.
Hive Guard
The Hive Guard's typical armament is the
impaler cannon - an organic gun-like
symbiote that fires osseous darts capable
of punching through the toughest armour..
Some Hive Guard have adapted further to
carry shockcannons - hideous weapons
that fire a spine of bone into their targets
before delivering a powerful bio-electric
blast along their trailing tendrils. (Wait? So the nids use stunguns?)
Options for both weapon come in this multi-part
plastic kit and all three Hive Guard can be
equipped with either weapon.
Tyrant Guard
A range of symbiotic bio-weapons are
available to the three Tyrant Guard in this
multi-part plastic kit, from scything talons
and crushing claws to leech-like lashwhips
and razor-edged boneswords, all of which
can be posed in a variety of ways due to
the ball-and-socket joints that are common
to all Tyranid creatures.
Warriors
In a month where Tyranid collectors have
many reasons for celebration, the release
of this multi-part plastic kit is particularly
pleasing. A wholesale reinvention of the
hardly plastic set first released in 2001,
these new frames (much like the new
Space MArine Tactical squad) have been
resculpted and festooned with options,
allowing you to make three Tyranid Warriors.
Full weapon options for each Warrior have been
included for the first time, allowing Swarm
leaders to arm each of their monstrous
troops with ranged bio-weaponry as spinefists,
devourers and eathspittesr, and one
each of the rightly-feared barbed strangler
and venom cannon are included too.
Three sets apiece of scything talons,
boneswords, lash whips and rending claws
(resculpted to more accurately echo those
found on Genestealers and Raveners)
provide close combat options, while flesh
hooks, adrenal grands and toxin scacs offer
further customisability.
It's a brilliant kit that's a joy to build,
further bolstered by three different leg
poses and head creasts; I'm planning on
putting together at least one horde of nine
Warriors with which to slaughter the forces
of the Imperium, And there's one final
surprise included in the box - turn the
page to find out what it is...
Warrior Prime
The new Tyranid Warrior box set contains
enough options to build one Warrior as a
Tyranid Prime. The components involved
include a Prime-specific chestpiece and
extended back carapace, flared shoulder
guards and a grander headpiece - all of
which go towards making a best
significantly more imposing than the
already fearsome Tyranid Warriors. The
final flourish is a pincer-tipped tail end
reminiscent of the one found in the plastic
Hive Tyrant kit - a fitting reminder that the
Tyranid Prime is one of the Great
Devourers most senior, and dangerous,
lieutenants.
So there you have the 3rd bullet point on all the new kits, some basic info on the kits.
So Nids now have stunguns...
Crushing claws are at least AP2 from the description of them, isn't that the same as before though as they are used on MCs?

Thanks Gloomfang from TTH
OK for folks who don’t want to get eye strain reading the report here is what I pulled from it:
Swarmlord is L3 Psyker and it looks like he can still give a bonus to reserve rolls.
Exocrine has a S7 AP2 weapon. Either large blast or 6 shots.
Psychic Powers: Random roll on a chart.
Catalyst is FNP on the unit and another unit within 12”
Warp Blast Is S10
There are more than 2 types of Instinctive Behavior now and apparently some of them are pretty debilitating.
Edit a few more rumors from the rumor mill on Dakka/Warshadow (via Terrorfex):
Shadow is 12 Inches -3 LD for psi
Hive crone is Vector Strike 8
Missiles are rerollable S5 pulse (no idea what pulse is)
Exocrine is bs3(4) t6 w5 3+
24 Inches, S7 ap2 6 shots or large blast
Bs4 when stationary
Haruspex ist t6 w5 3+
Gains an Attack for Every lost wound
Heals One wound for Every unsaved wound caused

-Codex Dataslate: Tyranid Vanguard
advanced force of lictors, genestealers and more
-Codex Dataslate: Tyrannic War Veterans

We had a decent sized set of Tyranid rumors yesterday that looked a little off from leaked images and information we have received so far about Tyranids. I am looking forward to getting something solid about this coming release, but for right now, we are going to take a closer look at yesterday's rumors and compare with what is known.
please remember that these are rumors. Endobai is a solid source on what is known right now about the Tyranids release. The rumors being checked are these ones found here from Tyran on Dakka Dakka.

via Endobai on Warseer
I'll temporary leave my cave to comment on those.
personally I'd expect something accurate in the coming week i.e. something this pile of text is not.
Flesh Hooks are assault grenades and d6 S6 ap5 rending and precision shoots.
Second looks like wishlist. Cannot imagine 9 Tyranid Warriors throwing 9d6 precision shots - can you?
Adrenals Glands give Furious Charge and the +3" run.
Opposes all what we know for example about Horms = disproven.
Unless there are different effects for monstrous creatures and such and different for little fellas,

Hive Guard:
New gun is Spike Cannon, S7 ap4 2 shoots with Skyfire, enemy must reroll successful grounding tests
From the description of the weapon I doubt it can be skyfire. The weapon, but it doesn't mean that the unit will not be able to from its basic gun.
Lost Blinding Venom
No, still have it.

From Natfka
A hole bunch of rumors have surfaced, and they go into a lot of details on the new Tyranid codex that is due out very soon. A lot of these look excellent, and some even may match up with what we have seen in the White Dwarf leaks.
The problem with this rumor set, is that there are inconsistencies that already proven to be incorrect. The Exocrine shoots a Bio-Plasmic Cannon that is either a large S7 ap2 large blast or 6 separate shots. These rumors do not match up with that. Whether or not this blows the whole rumor set out as incorrect, I have no idea, but please add extra salt to this set.
Please remember that these are rumors.

I just have a nice chat with a player in Vassal.
He supposedly got to see the new codex in a veterans tour at Warhammer World.
Rumors:
Tyranids can't take fortifications, but have +1 HQ, +1 Elites, +2 Troops, +1FA and +1 HS
Tyranids are going to have 3 supplements: Leviathan, Kraken, and Jormungandr. It is going to be a swarmy one, a nydzilla one and an infiltration one. But GW hasn't started to write them yet so anything may come.
There are advanced, basic, experimental, etc biomorphs.
Shadow in the Warp is a 12" bubble of -4 ld for enemy psych test, but also grants units the 5+ to deny.
No way to make Warriors viable, according to him the Eternal Warrior rumors are wrong.
Toxins Sacs may be the same, according to him the wording was poison 4+ to the attacks, not making any distinction between CC and ranged.
Flesh Hooks are assault grenades and d6 S6 ap5 rending and precision shoots.
Adrenals Glands give Furious Charge and the +3" run.
Scything Talons give an additional attack.
No Doom of Malan'tai, Parasite and Mycetic Spores.
Regeneration gives IWND.
Catalyst gives +1 to FNP and IWND.
Venom Cannon is S9 ap4 2 shots.
Deathspitter is back to being a blast.
Barbed Strangler is st6 ap5 and must take a S test or take d6 st4 ap3 hits.
Stranglethorn Cannon is the same but S8 and pinning.
Acid, explosive and poison spore mines are back.
Any Prime unit can be HQ, this includes Warrior Prime, Trygon Prime and Old One Eye.
Only 1 Psych Powers chart.

Massive grain of salt rumor: biovores might have bio acid spores again. 3rd party at a gaming store so probably not true, but sharing it.

Small blast, barrage, AP 3 ?.
If so, I heard the same, but doubting it.

Other than the barrage those are the same stats I heard. In line with the old codex.

From Natfka. Recap.
I went through and organized the prominent rumors and leaks of information into what should be considered very close to what is coming with the upcoming Tyranid codex. I am sure as we get closer that more information will come, but as it stands now, this is what we get.
Please remember that these are rumors.
Here are a couple forums that are allowed to keep leaked pics up

Tyranids
Here is what is coming, and these are based off of information and rumors on this site, from 4chan, and Endobai on Warseer. I have found these sets are the most reliable, but should still be considered rumors, because there is still room for errors. Below are copy and pastes of the what has been revealed over the past couple weeks.

Zoanthrope
Broodlord
Lictor
Venomthrope
Red Terror
Codex and Enhanced Codex
the codex comes with Warlord Traits, new bioartefacts, and new instinctive behavior charts.
the enhanced ipad version has its own Force Requisition and includes audio tracks that I am not sure the Space Marine codex had.
Apex Biomorphs
Apex Biomorphs, max one of each per detachment:
1. Synapse range is reduced but grants Eternal Warrior. Can be taken by any HQ (not Troop Tervigons or HS Trygon Primes).
2.Twin boneswords, AP2, for every wound inflicted on a 5+ the model regains a wound. For Primes and Tyrants. Regular boneswords are AP3 by the way.
3. Virus spore barrage (Ordnance, Poisoned 3+, unlimited range, one-shot, the template remains on the board until the end of the game).
A bit hazy but saw a flamer in there that could be taken by Tyrants and
Tervigons only (AP3?) and a 3+ carapace that grants a 2+ and EW if the
model didn't run/glide.
Tyranid Warriors and Tyranid Prime
Warrior kits come with 3 models, one of which can be upgraded to a Tyranid Prime. The Tryanid Prime parts include a new chestpiece, flared shoulders, and a new head. The box also comes with all the options you can take, meaning everything is included.
Lash whips, boneswords, sything talons, and rending claws to outfit all three models, with bioweaponry like spinefists, devourers, and deathspitters. One model per brood can take heavier weapons that are included in the kit, such as the barbed strangler and venom cannon.
Options include toxin sacs, flesh hooks, adrenal glands
Exocrine and Haruspex
Exocrine firing modes are large blast or 6 S7 AP2 shots.
The Exocrine and Haruspex are part of one dual kit set for January. Both are larger than a Carnifex but smaller than a Tyrannofex.
The Haruspex is meant for up close and personal fighting, like tearing apart terminators, and comes with giant crushing claws and a talon able to reach out and ensnare victims.
The Exocrine is for ranged artillery with an intelligent Bio-Plasmic Cannon. Can launch multiple streams of plasma or a single large blast.
Tyrant Guard and Hive Guard
I know everyone saw the leaked images of the Hive Guard, and I want to confirm that it is a dual kit making either Hive Guard or Tyrant Guard. The other weapon in the leaked pictures besides the Impaler Cannons, is a Shock Cannon. The kit allows you to equip all three with either weapon.
As far as the Tyrant Guard are concerned, all options are included like most 6th edition boxes, from scything talons, crushing claws, lash whips and boneswords.
Again advanced orders are not coming until January 4th. Release date is the 11th.
Harpy and Hive Crone
Harpy with the TL stranglers, 25 pts cheaper.
Hive Crone: It has a Strength 8 Vector Strike, four 'missiles', a 'flame-template' weapon.
One kit makes up both the Harpy and the Hive Crone
The model is larger than any other flyer we have for from GW
The Harpy can be labelled as a bomber and comes with a stranglethorn cannon or heavy venom cannon, and can drop biological spore bombs (3 choices).
The Hive Crone is meant to take on air targets with its claws, and comes with drool cannon, that spits digestive acid onto its foes. On the bottom of the wings the Hive Crone comes with 4 tentaclides (missiles) that are used to take down aircraft.
Carnifex
Old One Eye in the report is regenerating like crazy
The new box makes two carnifexes with all the new options included.
Parts to make Old One Eye or your own beast or version of him are included
Termagants and Hormagaunts
both the termagaunt and hormagaunt box sets contain 20 models. the termagaunt box set also contains 3 rippers. The best part is both sets are $33 dollars and $33US £20 $40Can €26.
Bounding Leap on Hormagaunts is explained there and it gives +3" Run.
Misc
Flyrant with double TL devs, wings and 2 powers is pts. 30 pts cheaper than the same build right now.
Venomthropes are pts, 10 pts cheaper.
Trygon Prime is pts, 10 pts cheaper.
New boxes and changes:
- Flyer: Harpy + 2nd Flyer (not named Erinyes, 2nd flyer gets a weapon type that Tyranids never had before. Haywire potentially.)
- Big Kit: Haruspex/Artillery Variant (Exocrine most likely)
- Unit Kit: Hive Guard/Tyrant Guard (Tyrant Guard have several new weapons, Hive have an electric gun)
- Unit Kit: Warriors (Includes parts for Prime, but no wings)
- Repack: Carnifex, unknown what changed
- Removed: Mycetic Spores on the game board are gone.
Rules
- Psychic Discipline: Dominion (Primaris), Psychic Scream, Warp Blast, Catalyst, Paroxysm, The Horror, Onslaught.
- Army-wide Move Through Cover.
- Hormagaunts are cheaper and have fleet, but are not beasts.
- Rippers are more expensive but are "no longer suicidal".
- Gargoyles still have Blind Venom, same function.
- Tyrants keep the twin devourers setup.
- Broodlords have a fixed (no rolling) psychic power.
- Tervigons and Hive Tyrants roll for random powers.
- Tervigons can still be taken as Troops with a brood of gaunts.
- New Instinctive Behaviours added. The effect is fixed per-unit, no rolling.
Psychic Powers
Primaris: Dominion, blessing, +6" synapse range for the caster
1. Catalyst - FnP for caster and unit, and another unit in 12"
2. Paroxysm
3. the Horror - Broodlord have this power
4. Onslaught
5. Psychic Scream - 1 charge, nova 6", each target takes 2d6+2 minus its Ld wounds without covers and armors
6. Warp Blast - 2charges, witchfire, unchanged
Questions and Answers from Endobai
Endobai responses are bold italics
1. Synapse gives eternal warrior
Not proven yet.
Seems a good deduction considering the price of the Warriors which remains more or less unchanged, but so far I have no solid confirmation.
2. Gargoyles are troops.
Cannot confirm that. FOC changes via HQs are possible, but right now just a speculation.
3. Trygons (primes), Carnifex, Hive Tyrant, Tyrannofex, Venomthropes have significant point decreases
True. Values are posted elsewhere, cannot tell if all are accurate, but in general there is a point decrease.
4. Zoanthropes come with Psychic Scream, and warp blast as standard
Nothing supporting this. I said some creatures are assigned specific powers and in this case it is a prime candidate, but right now I cannot say a definitive yes.
5. Brain leach devourers no longer strength 6
6. The Crone has a massive vector strike
Don't remember, but both are quite likely.
7. Tervigon, Warriors, gene stealers have significant price increases
Warriors and Genes stay the same, upgrades are either cheaper or more expensive, but the basic cost is identical.
Tervigon is more expensive, by about a nude Warrior cost.
8. No Doom, Parasite, Spore pod.
Cannot say for sure, but no confirmation they are and no traces of their presence I could find.
9. The big cannon bug has two different firing modes, one being a D3 Large Blast and one being multiple high strength, low AP shooting attacks.
Have no idea why it is supposedly D3. One concentated large blast with Ap2 and S7 or six lesser shots (six barrels).
BTW
Interesting bit. The gun is the brain of the creature, the grinning imbecile below is just the muscle useful to allow the brain to calculate all those things it likes and no doubt design subtle works of surreal art from the splattered remains of the enemy. Think Master-Blaster from 'Mad Max 3'.
10. Hungry eyes bug has the ability to magna grapple vehicles and enemy troops.
Nice, but pure speculation so far.
Psychic powers
Primaris: Dominion, blessing, +6" synapse range for the caster
Don't remember.
Catalyst - FnP for caster and unit, and another unit in 12"
True.
the Horror - Broodlord have this power
True.
5. Psychic Scream - 1 charge, nova 6", each target takes 2d6+2 minus its Ld wounds without covers and armors
6. Warp Blast - 2charges, witchfire, unchanged
Don't remember.

From Natfka
Today we have some rules bits that give you what's called an Apex Biomorph. It appears you get to select one per detachment of Tyranids, and the powers range from Eternal Warrior to increasing the power of boneswords.
From the information below, it appears someone may have seen the codex with these powers, but I cannot verify that.
Please remember that these are rumors

Tyranid flyers are going to be under incredible pressure to perform with this release, and for that, there are two new models (1 kit) that are being released. Rumors have it that these are the previously known Harpy, and the new Hive Crone. This little rumor goes into some of the roles of each of these new models on the tabletop.
Please remember that these are rumors and as such require some salt.
via an anonymous source from the Faeit 212 inbox.
Please remember that these are rumors and as such require some salt.

Old One Eye has been reported to be part of the battlereport in the upcoming White Dwarf for January, where he was seen regenerating at some crazy amazing rate. Then his model disappeared from the GW site. Well, have no fear, or do if you do not play Tyranids, Old One Eye is not going anywhere. He is coming, and you are going to need a lot of big guns to take him down.
Please remember that these are rumors, some salt is always required. Previous rumors has the box set at $90 or £55. Of course the release date is still on January 11th with advanced orders going live January 4th.

All of a sudden with so much information flowing about Tyranids, there has been some false rumors spread into the mix, and Endobai has spent some time to go through and answer a few of the questions on rumors found through the internet and validate or give us his insight on them.
Endobai's information is very solid, and I will not go into the specifics on why, but he is speaking from what he has seen. So lets take a look at what he has said recently over on Warseer.
Please remember that these are rumors, and some salt is always required.
via Endobai on Warseer
With the dam broken I am satisfied with my work and can use recently gained (un)deserved fame and glory for the benefit of humanity elsewhere.
I'll start with the benefit of one human, namely myself - which unfortunatelly takes time and effort.
Since I cannot afford answering all the PMs (sorry guys, but a dozen? Have mercy.) I will go through this single post.
You must understand that disproving fakes sometimes takes more time than writing something, even in enigmatic (living in the city where the Enigma was broken helped) Alpha Legion/Eldar style.
I am not a Tyranind player and each time I have to check the (still) current Tyranid codex to see if I make a mistake which would no doubt haunt me for the eternity in the endless depths of the Internet.
Recent rumours, most likely from 4chan are mostly valid, but there are fakes coming from more... creative sources.
Some might be still spot on, so I will only discuss those things I can confirm or deny easily.

Will have access to BRB powers.
No reason to disprove it now or earlier.

WOAH! NEW RULES CONFIRMED!!!
From Vhalyar over on Dakka;
No, the comment was from Endobai concerning the weapon of the Crone.
Anyway, some tidbits from the batrep. Am I going to be slammed for posting points? Maybe, I'll remove them if I get asked.
Exocrine is 170 points
Exocrine firing modes are large blast or 6 S7 AP2 shots.
Crone is 155 points.
Harpy is 135 with the TL stranglers, 25 pts cheaper.
Venomthropes are 45, 10 pts cheaper.
Trygon Prime is 230, 10 pts cheaper.
Fex and Tfex I already mentioned, but due to biomorphs it's only an estimation.
e: Flyrant with double TL devs, wings and 2 powers is 230 pts. 30 pts cheaper than the same build right now.
WOW!
Add to this we also found out this;
*Carnifexes are around 120 points stock.
*Tyrannofexes are around 220 points stock.
*The Crone has a STRENGTH 8 VECTOR STRIKE, the missiles are really good apparently and it even comes with a flamer template weapon. HOLY (please do not swear)!
WOW! Just WOW!
That Exocrine....depending on stats, the damn thing has better firepower than a Riptide (before Markerlights)!!!!

From Natfka Hey we get a mention. Sorry who posted this. PM me so I can give you credit.
Loads of rumors are flowing throughout the internet now, and it seems evident that the battle report in this coming month's White Dwarf is against Tau, specifically against a Riptide list.
So a lot of information is flowing now, and in this bit I am going to remove the points listings that were given in these bits.
Please remember that although these say they are direct information from the White Dwarf, we should consider these as rumors, as often people can read things incorrectly or get something wrong.

Quite some time ago we were told through sources that the Ultramarines would be seeing a supplement alongside the Tyranid release. Of course we were all thinking it was going to be a codex supplement, and this doesnt rule that out, but January has two nice surprises for us according this rumor.
Please remember that these are rumors. Salt is always required

two new dataslates coming alongside tyranids next month. you might find it interesting that they are called codex dataslates. not sure what that means.
-Codex Dataslate: Tyranid Vanguard
advanced force of lictors, genestealers and more
-Codex Dataslate: Tyrannic War Veterans
Chaplin Cassius and his elite forces

yranids are here and the information seems to keep flowing. While I dont have the cover, here is a report on it, and the contents of the new codex. For ipad users the enhanced version will include Force Requisition, much like the enhanced Space Marine codex has.
The pic above is not the cover. (just wanted to be clear)
Please remember that these are rumors and soon we will be hearing something more official.
via an anonymous source from the Faeit 212 inbox.
Ive seen the cover, and its a tyranid warrior screaming with a backdrop of a full fledged tyranid invasion behind him with domes covered in large protruding spikes.
the codex comes with Warlord Traits, new bioartefacts, and new instinctive behavior charts.
the enhanced ipad version has its own Force Requisition and includes audio tracks that I am not sure the Space Marine codex had.

From Natfka (going to say a big thanks to him for posting all these rumours, thanks a lot for your great work. )
Apparently there is more going on for Tyranids in January than first thought. Beyond the new releases we saw earlier today there are some online only releases, that include termagaunts and hormagaunts. There are also some mail order only releases mentioned.
Please remember that these are still rumors, as nothing official has been announced. I included the first set of new releases here as well, so that we can see the tyranid release all in one place.

From WD battle report: (ED NOTE: WD Batreps have a history of being not exactly completely accurate... so while I believe the poster, he may be operating from bad information.)
Swarmlord is 285, 5 pts more.
Tervigon with crushing claw is 210 (!) and one power, 25 pts more than current. It's possible you need to buy the first mastery level for them now.
e: Flyrant with double TL devs, wings and 2 powers is 230 pts. 30 pts cheaper than the same build right now.
From Different source:
And Crone has a type of gun that Nids have never had before. (for example, melta or Ordnance, etc.)

{quote] yranids are Coming. A new codex, new dualkit boxes, and probably much more. Today there has been a bit of news and rumor on the Tyranid front, and of course I know we are all dying to hear any scrap of information to confirm that this is happening.
Please remember that these are rumors. I am sure in the next couple weeks, Tyranids are going to take over and there will be nothing else for us to talk about.
There are a couple separate small sets of information here, the first confirming what the rumors that we will be seeing new Tyranids next month, and the second that models are starting to not be able to be ordered by stores. The third we have already seen this image, but is that a harpy in the back left?
All three of these are from different sources

stores in the UK are not getting any more tyranid warriors, hive guard, tyrant guard or pyrovores
via a reader here on Faeit 212 (please note that the image was released by Games Workshop for the event listed on the picture)
I have attached an image from games workshops event team, in the back left you can see a harridan like flyer that is much smaller than the harridan and also up the rear under the stormraven is another nid unit i cant identify.

From Ronin on Warpshadow.
Good Morning all,
To begin I shall add the latest rumor passed to me via word of mouth, claiming that the shadow of the warp will shroud our forces, forcing overwatch rolls of 6 to be rerolled. They know that after playing bugs for over 20 years I am hungry for our new book.
I have been watching this discussion in multiple places, and every source quoted up until this point has been impossible to verify. I suspect that we will see teasers or hints for end of the year. However, there is still no real evidence of Codex Tyranids arriving prior to January.
I want a new codex built for 6th edition (is a seventh edition one too much to ask for?) I tire of beating my head on the AV13 Necron wall, and watching my foes gain hundreds of free shots every time I declare a charge. I know the units I still field regularly are 3 editions obsolete, and only recently has some of the joy of playing my space hulk spawned gribblies been dulled.
I will plod on building my mycetic spores and work hard to build/paint more bugs in the hopes that I shall enjoy what the gamedev gods finally put in my hands.
Best wishes to all,
Ronin

This will be the new place for Tyranid rumours since it's getting really congested. The old one should be getting locked soon, so hopefully this one will be just as much fun.

Just got back from a family road trip. So exhausted, and Wow, I missed something. So let's add this as the beginning of a new thread. Going to start that the latest news that I and others find, will start at the top, and the older ones will be lower. Hopefully this will be easier to read and find new stuff.

Supposedly, a copy of White Dwarf someone managed to get early mentions this about point costs:
Swarmlord - 285pts
Tyrant Guard (Scything Talons, Crushing Claws) - 70pts
Tervigon (Crushing Claws, 1 power) - 210pts
Hive Tyrant (2x TL Brainleech Devourer, wings, 2 powers) - 230pts
Hive Tyrant (Heavy Venom Cannon, 2 powers) - 185pts
Venomthrope - 45pts
Hive Crone - 155pts
Harpy (TL Stranglethorn) - 135pts
Trygon Prime 230pts
Exorcine 170 pts (Bio-plasma, large cake or 6 shots s7ap2)
3 Carnifexes (2x 2TL brainlech Devourers, 1x Stranglethorn) - 435pts
Tyrannofex (Rupture Cannon) - 205pts
There is also tiny photo of some pages from the codex. Troops section (no "Dedicated transport mentioned there), Gaunts, Gargoyles and 'Stealers, Fluff, minis.
Nothing about "special artifacty biomorphs list" but that doesn't mean that there isn't one.
I can confirm 30-gaunts-unit for 1 tervigon in troops.
Info about upgrades for Tervi and 30 gants in detachment is fake i think.
Also, gargoyles seem to get a "Hunt" instinctive behavior.
That's a quote from the guy making claims, so take that with salt. But, this is the same guy who was posting all these images of the new nids so I'm confident enough to quote it from 4chan.

The dam has broken and the leaks spotted. Now we have information on what the releases will be for January. Its going to be a full month of Tyranids.
Please remember that these are rumors until something official has been announced.
Some of the interesting things here is that no author is listed, as it appears to be a joint team effort to put together this codex. Otherwise we have some exciting new things listed here, the Harpy and Hive Crone for one, and the Haruspex and Exocrine. January is going to be a ton of fun.

New post on Faeit, everything (except the Harpy) without a model has been removed from the Codex.
No Shrikes, no Doom, no Parasite (which extra sucks if true, I'm super proud of my Parasite conversion).
Faeit seems to be really selective on the Tyranid info he's posting. I think he's getting a lot of contradictory info.

From BoLS:
We rate this set of rumors possible, coming from mixed sources.
Psychic Details
Tyranid psykers generate psychic powers in a new way. They gain 1 warp charge from each synapse creature within 6" but each synapse creature only generates a single warp charge. Tyranid psykers additionally gain a single warp charge per mastery level. This rule mechanic depicts the ability of the Tyranid Hivemind to focus power to key psychic organisms via the synaptic network. Each psychic organism however does have a maximum amount of warp charges it may utilize in a single turn, to prevent abusive "machine gun use of powers".
Apparently units of multiple synapse creatures now have another useful purpose - psychic reservoir.
There is also contradictory chatter on whether or not the new Tyranid psychic powers will replace the rulebook powers entirely. Some say yes, some say no.
Psychic Powers table:
-Dominion (Primaris)
-Psychic Scream
-Warp Blast
-Catalyst
-Paroxysm
-The Horror
-Onslaught
Units Rumors
Various tongues are wagging that one of the new big bugs is the old EPIC chesnut, the Haruspex. Not only that, but the Haruspex is only one half of a combo kit and yet another EPIC big bug is buildable from the kit. ~PS, there's really not that many left... go looking.
Broodlord comes with fixed psychic power and a large number of biomorph options.
There is suddenly a distinct number of rumormongers talking about the removal of the Mycetic Spore and any other unit without a model in the codex (you do the math). Some chatter says the rumored Dedicated Transport big bug may replace it entirely as it never received a model in the first place.

RUMOR: Recius from Frontline Gaming (and runs large tourneys on the West Coast) says he heard SitW was going to a flat -4 to Ld. Could be cool.
The game needs Nids to have a good anti-psyker ability. Something to stop the runnaway Jetseerstar, and to a lesser extent, the screamer star.

Re: Tyranid Rumors - January 2014
I had to find the Tyranid codex and more important had to work for a couple of hours, too addicted to things such was food, drink and shelter to ignore this need. I am no Tyranid player so I wanted to have the codex in sight not to make any mistakes people will in turn mistake for something else.
It is still too early to say too much - hardly enjoyable to be in the spotlight shining like the Astronomican for the Hive Fleets...
I can only say maybe 20% of what I know for now. Soon images should start appearing in the web so it will be possible to comment on some of them.
Warriors.
In my opinion definetely the centerpiece of the release. Much like the Tactical squad for the Marine codex they are something every Tyranid player - new or veteran - will have to buy.
The box includes all or almost all weapon options the Warrior entry in the current (still the current) codex has + something really nice. Still don't expect all your wishes to come true. Remember it is no more than three infantry sprues in the box.
The unit's cost.
It depends on the cost of wargear and what special rules give them - namely what Synapse Creature gives them in the new codex. Right now I can see no meaningful point decrease. Still troops though.
Tervigon.
Still troops, but comes with 'the Gaunt tax' to occupy the slot. Gaunts are cheaper so it helps a little.
Much depends on the new psychic powers the Tyranids get because it remains a psycher with randomly generated powers so unlike some psychers in the new tyranid codex.
The Big Bug.
It is big, but not that big. Remember that the Wraithknight and Eldar models in general are smooth and do not have so many limbs, vents, horns, bio-guns etc so making something as large as the Eldar fellow would create something really, really expensive - definetely in titan price range. The big bug is thankfully cheaper.
The creature is taken from the Epic 40k, but the difference in size is not so ridiculously... pronounced, but it is large enough.
Ohh and the instinctive behaviour list is expanded - with entirely new modes some creatures will take when separated from the Hive Mind.
Tyrant Guard too got something new, a weapon upgrade they will find really useful.

From Natfka
Tyranids are coming, and scraps of information are starting to flow. Today we have the briefest piece about Tyranid Psykers that is at least very interesting, but lacking any real details.
Lets take a look.
Please remember that these are rumors, and still a little early, but from a credible source.
via an anonymous source on Faeit 212
Tyranids have their own psyker discipline containing 6 powers, with no access to any of the normal disciplines out of the rulebook.

Again from Natfka
There is someone talking on Warseer, and I have been following him for a day or so there to see what else he brings up. This is a real good set of rumors to read into, and one that should start to get people excited for Tyranids.
Please remember that these are rumors. Endobai starts off referring to the rumors that we had over the weekend from Bols. If you are curious you can find them listed here by following the link.

(regarding the Bols rumors over the weekend)
Yep, that is a good idea. Half of it is completely wrong, mistaken or just slightly off the mark.
But hell, there could be a second wave so untill the codex is there it is not certain.
Can't say if the rules are, though - again as long as the codex is not released.
what the hell, expect a dataslate with the release. Nothing unexpected something like this appears I realise, but it will apparently give another option to create an army.
3rd edition players will notice some similarity between it and one evil, sickly powerful army list from a decade ago; though I seriously hope it will be only representing similar idea, but without the rules almost every non-Tyranid player hated back then.
(Regarding the dataslate)
Different name, different rules (I hope!), but in general similar thought behind it. A formation from models in the codex, so not an entire army.
I cannot confirm it fully because too many people will get too exited leading to another 5 pages of discussion on DakkaDakka (cheers guys!) and it will be much less than they will hope for. A nice, (hopefully) flavourish addition, but not the Mycetic Swarm people hated/loved in early 2000s.
(Who is the author of the Tyranid codex)
Ok, that is easy and spoils nothing. No author named.
Apparently right now it is a work of the entire team, but no real suprise here either with rumours about shared work circulating for a while.
Anyway I fully expect some images in next 6 days. As usual first probably something blurry, made by an old mobile phone camera from a wrong angle so that people can discuss how utterly ugly it is and they will never buy it.
I dislike one release from the Tyranid wave, but the rest seems fine or better than fine.
And the cover of the codex is all right, though could probably be better.
The data slate- when I read up on the original Mycetic spore list I think it was more just the deployment type of it- plus it was cool as it represented a specific stage of a tyrannid invasion- so good flavour fluff wise but I wouldn't want anything overpowered - it's just not fun to fight against.
The early invasion theme is still here, but this time without "drop a brood of Genestealers on their heads and see them kill everybody" mode.
There is more than one new MC in the initial release. 'A new MC for the army of bioengineered monsters?' - not a suprise.
Epic 40 000 players will recognise one easily.
Not Harridan of course.
FOC changes. Not sure yet if your HQ can move some units to different slots, but one unit moves a MC in the FOC.
Probably guys from 40k radio will cover the codex, but it is still more than a full month left…

then furthermore from endobai on warseer
Heh, so it is out.
I can safely say something more.
All those sets allow construction of another unit, also the Haruspex which can be assembled as... another creature from Epic 40k.
Hive Guards got another weapon option which can be seen on the leaked image.
The weapon is electricity based. No doubt inspired by Teslas, but I have no idea if it works in a similar way.
Tyrant Guards are very lovely. My most favourite models in the release combining what is the best in the 3rd and 4th metal models.
Several weapon options just like with the warriors.
I think that they got those new 50 mm bases. I was mistaken in the past with the SM Centurions so forgive me if I make commit another once again.
Haruspex is damn ugly so you will recognise it immediatelly, but its 'twin' is actually really nice looking MC.
Harpy's 'brother' is not called Eridne/however it was called in those rumours.

From Beecee on TTH
More from Endobai on the Warseer thread:
There is more than one new MC in the initial release. 'A new MC for the army of bioengineered monsters?' - not a suprise.
Epic 40 000 players will recognise one easily.
Not Harridan of course.
FOC changes. Not sure yet if your HQ can move some units to different slots, but one unit moves a MC in the FOC.
Probably guys from 40k radio will cover the codex, but it is still more than a full month left...
a bug epic 40kers will recognize.... Dominatrix?

a bug epic 40kers will recognize.... Dominatrix?

From Brassangel on TTH from Warseer.
I would expect many leaked pictures of the new tyranid models in the next week.
Can't say anything else ( I gave my word), but it is quite, quite a show also for Tyranid veterans with some nice suprises here and there.
Search my older posts before you question my reliability.

I just tried to order some Tyrant guard from spikeybits.com and they told me GW had retired the model and was producing a box pack of them. Hopefully I will see a 3 pack!

Breaking Rumors for December and Tyranids
This week has been a mess of trying to decipher what it is that is going to be happening next month. Today we are getting a bit of information to break through the mess, and reveal what lies ahead.
News of the Week

Breaking News and Rumors
I think we are finally getting down to the wire now on what December will look like, and this breaking rumor set is from a long trusted source here on Faeit 212, and gives us some answers that it looks like we can live with. This is great news in my book as now we can move forward into December. Personally I think we were just thrown a bone here.

I have had a couple emails that I thought I would share on the subject of whether or not Tyranids are actually coming or not in two weeks. Its unusual that things are this much a mess right before a major release. So I am going to leave the subject for the rest of the day and see what else can be discovered.
I might even have to take a nap, but will keep one eye open for lurking Lictors.
Please remember that these are rumors.
via Stickmonkey
I have lots of sources chiming in saying that Tyranids "ARE getting Dec models."
Now whats interesting to me is no one saying to me the new Codex is coming dec. And with all the other wishy washiness about what is or isnt coming it is making me wonder if those isolated rumors of a 2 month release might hold some truth...models only in Dec filling gaps, then Codex and new in Jan?
via an anonymous source
things are getting really confusing with info i'm getting and constantly changing. seems that a new game expansion is the next WD with hobbit due for release possible half way through DEC, nids set jan with guard following closely afterward. im just waiting to see now as this info change is driving me nuts personally.

This Tyranid thing is just about killing me. Simply because we had several sources here that have a solid track record saying Tyranids are moving up, mostly due to issues with the Hobbit and more specifically the Smaug model.
This mornings rumor, is telling us that Tyranids in December is not going to happen, and that the Smaug issue is not enough to move the release forward. Tyranid rumors are exhausting of late.
Please remember that these are rumors.
via an anonymous source from the Faeit 212 inbox.
- Nids still in January
As I was told, it`s false to asume that Nids are preset to December because of the Smaug disaster
- Smaug
The Dragon was not rejected by WB due to the model but due to the size. GW was told when they want to make one it has to be in the same proportion as the
other model range leaving us with a roughly 35” Dragon which is not going to happen

Best wishes to all,
Ronin

This probably files under "will not be answered", but here goes anyway (fingers crossed):
Will Codex Tyranid include Hive Fleet special rules, like we have seen Chapter Tactics for Codex Space Marines?

I hope so, the big thing about sixth edition releases seems to be about making every army unique, so I wouldn't expect the same thing, but potentially something similar.
Realistically though biomorphs will likely be the tyranids unique selling point

There has been some rumblings across the rumor mill, that there has been a change on the Games Workshop site having to do with Tyranids. Could this be a precursor to their imminent release?
What has happened is that Tyranid Warriors are now listed under HQ along with their original location under Troops. The ruckus this caused late yesterday was that Tyranids are getting ready to be launched. I will admit I do not keep track of where units lie on the GW site, but apparently many other people are watching.

December releases were actually very easily defined not too long ago. There were two new 40k expansions, a Warhammer Fantasy supplement, and a special limited edition Space Marine codex release. Then it appeared sources are confirming over and over that the Tyranids have been moved up from January for a December release. They were definitely not previously on the release on the schedule for December.
So what is going to happen? Its mostly a mystery at this point. Just to help you along, the two 40k expansions do exist, but have they been moved back? Have Tyranids taken over the month of December? It would seem so.
I am hoping that we get some information on what is going on, because as it stands right now, if everything was to be released, it would be one wild and crazy month. (which is not so bad if you ask me). Lets take a look at what is on the table. Its all very much exciting releases.
December Releases: Which ones will make it, and which ones will be kicked into the new year?
Escalation: 40k Expansion that adds a Lord of War slot into regular 40k games that can be filled with Super Heavies, Gargantuan Creatures, and more.
Stronghold Assault: A large 40k expansion to add multiple new fortifications into the game with new upgrades, and even combining fortifications into a single large one for one foc choice.
Space Marines: Ultima Edition: A new limited edition set with new artwork and 4 hardback books as one single collectors edition set.
Sigmar's Blood: A Warhammer Fantasy supplement that recreates Volkmar's invasion of Sylvania
Tyranid Codex: New 6th edition codex obviously with new model releases

This will be the new place for Tyranid rumours since it's getting really congested. The old one should be getting locked soon, so hopefully this one will be just as much fun.

Just got back from a family road trip. So exhausted, and Wow, I missed something. So let's add this as the beginning of a new thread. Going to start that the latest news that I and others find, will start at the top, and the older ones will be lower. Hopefully this will be easier to read and find new stuff.

From Feait
Earlier this week we had a rumor that told us Tyranids are being moved up a month for a Dec 7th release. While this was simply a lone rumor floating around, there has been a ton of Tyranids rumors suddenly surfacing, including a leaked image. This would be rather odd if tyranids were still sitting at a January release, especially with a leaked image. Its getting difficult to tell exactly what is going on.
Some very solid rumors have it that Tyranids are not in the December White Dwarf, yet we are getting bits of rumors that are saying they getting are bumped up. So I have no idea if this means that the White Dwarf has changed, or if we will get a full Tyranid release where its not featured in the White Dwarf.
So while I still put odds on a January release, information from differing sources about Tyranids being moved forward seems to be filtering in.

Tyranids
Looks like I was a month out with Nids release date. expected release date 30th Nov -7th Dec. Second wave releases got removed if you haven't already noticed. Expect second wave release's to start in approx 18-24 month after all codex's and army books are complete.
Christmas Bundles
Normally we have an army strike force box set each year, guess again. that's the new standard battle forces so be interesting to see what pops around at x-mas if anything.
Orks
I know I was told Orks for march this may well not be the case but could be May with the campaign release month being June.
Black Library Books
There's 2 new boos being worked on by BL. hints have been thrown at me of Iron Warriors vs Daemons (definitely Iron Warriors) also another SMB book, still looking into this at the minute. Authors unknown but artwork is rumored to be by the talented Jon Sullivan.
