Vladmir stepped back his face never faultering in its ability to express such a vast aray of emotions, in this case, anger, disgust, arrogance, amusement, and confidence. He didn't respond immediatelty to Dimitri, just turned his eyes over to Aninka who still did not move from her place on the couch.
Vlad grinned as if there was some unspoken joke in the air, and finally he broke the awkward silence, "She does not appear to be moving very much does she?" His hand fell to stroking his clean shaven face, "Do you suppose she's knocked out?" His eyes twinkled cruelly as he stared Dimitri down, "Still, seeing as your so confident that should you spirit her away from me she would never return, I'm intrigued by your confidence in this matter." He turned towards the door whistling. A servant came strolling in, looking somewhat afraid of the gun situation and Vladmir acted as if little were wrong, "Take this Spartan," the way he said Spartan almost seemed like it could rhyme with garbage, "And my dearly beloved to the nearest tunnel we have a track on and send them on their way."
The servant hesitated, "Sir?" Vladmir grinned, "Take her, and him, and let them go." The servant moved forward towards Aninka to lift her up. Vladmir remained where he was looking at Dimitri, "She'll be back. She loves me, a concept I can see you are not yet to understand." He moved to the servant who was holding Aninka and held out a bag he'd produced from one of the cabinets, "Here, this will help her." He looked up with a glare at Dimitri, "This is for her and her alone. I do not pay scum to take away that which I hold dear."
Then he turned away from Dimitri speaking into his radio, "Collapse the tunnel then. We have more than one way in and out. That tunnel has been a problem for years anyway." He turned looking at Dimitri and the servant with Aninka, "Are you still hoping to spit things about what a foul man I am. I've been very sporting about this, you can take her away just like the big hero you are, and I'll look stupid for exactly as long as it takes for her to return to me, at which point, you will look very stupid, and trust me when I say that the humiliation she will give you shall be lasting."

Yuri, Alex and Nikki finally got to the Polis, although the platforms were pretty well guarded. They took a car from Chritye Prudy when they finally got there and took a car along the neutral stations all they way to the Polis. The journey has been nonstop and going for the last 24 hours. They were visibly weary, Nikki and Alex helping Yuri with the on the way. A man that looked like Brois Timiryazevskaya, but a little older, stood there on the heavily policed platform as if waiting for them. He was not shaven like his Boris, however, with a short beard and mustache. He wore not uncommon but certainly well kept clothes. His hazel eyes were softer and kinder than Boris' behind round spectacles. There was a squirming infant in his arms.
Alex jumped with new found energy and he strode over to the name. "Uncle Joseph, what are you doing here?" the boy yelped as he swung an arm around the man." "You're more a man each time I see you, a friend of mine who owns an Inn in Komsomolskaya told me that a boy of your description was coming to the Polis. I'm here to keep you safe." Alex looked down. "Hello little Katja" he squeaked as his uncle relinquished the baby to him, "You miss you papa? Did you?" Nikki felt almost nauseous looking at his cutesy display. So this must have been Joseph Timiryazevskaya. well he certaintly looked like a scholar, that's for sure.
"Uncle, this is Nikki, a good friend from Riga, and Yuri" Alex introduced them infatuated with his daughter. The old man took head of the introduction and walked over to them away from his nephew and grand niece with his hand held out to shake "Doctor Joseph Timiryazevskaya, it is nice to make your acquaintance" he said to the two. "Hi there doc, sorry for you loss." "You shouldn't be, I'm certainty not. Power had turned my brother to a tyrant, he has our family entangled and strangled by so many political webs, our family name is a death sentence in some places of the Metro. I thank you for taking good care of my nephew. That child needs a parent." "The mother?" Nikki enquired "I'm ashamed to say that Alex got around a lot and wasn't very close to the mother. I think it would be best if he did not know I could not save her in child birth. Please, I am guessing you'll soon be associated with us being seen with Alex in so many places by so many people, it will only be a matter of time that enough people will recognize enough for you to also be cursed with out name. Come to the Emerald city with us fr a while, you will be safe there I promise." "I don't know what to say" said Nikki with a blush, "I need to find some other's first, perhaps then we can soon." "We have time, I may be in the Polis for some time. Unfortunately I get pulled into the twinings of power play and I do have business here. We can certainly wait for you before we move off. Oh how rude of me, I haven't taken much note of you, Yuri was it?"

Dimitri waited till the servant and ani were gone and turned around to look at vlad again. "I don't Belive in things that should happen. Fate, luck or karma. I Belive in something else." He said raising the lowlife back up tworeds vlad looking deep into his eyes. "But I'm not letting her come back. And I'm not letting you live, for what you have done is far worse then most. You people are monsters far worse then the ones that fallowed me here." He says again aiming at vlads leg and fired four shots each one fallowing his movement if he moved and shut the door and moved his way to the rail are that had Ani killing any guard that tried to stop him. When he got the the rail car he got in it and started it up going fast. What was behind them came soon fast and deadly.
A small groupe of nosalis two albino one black and one plated rushed twored the meat at the hidden bunker

Yuri looked rather haggard, he hadn't shaved in at least two days now, his eyes showed weariness and were bloodshot, and there was little doubt of the worry in his soul, but he still managed to raise up his hand and shake Joseph's in a firm grip, "Aye. I'm a Ranger back at the station. A bounty catcher and occasional watch guard to be rather specific." He grinned boyishly, "I'm providing the protection these two lambs need to get them on the way to where ever it is God has them going to."
He smiled reaching down to lift the supplies Alex had dropped when rushing over to his daughter. He slung them up onto his brawny shoulders before reaching to take more of the ones Nikki carried, "Not to show my ignorance Doctor, but I've walked an awful long way, and we had a bit of a run it with some rather unpleasant winged creatures in the tunnels, the sooner you get me to a place where I can put our loads down, the better off my guarding skills will be for these two." He stepped back smiling in wait of the two with respect, although his eyes lingered on the baby in Alex's arms with some sense of fatherly interest. _________________________ Vladmir had known the shots were coming, he could read a thug like Dimitri easier than most children's books, and so all but one of the shots missed as he moved out of the way dodging into another room the only sounds that followed Dimitri was a dark chuckle that he heard as he passed the fallen men's radio's.
The servant holding Aninka cowered before Dimitri placing her into the car and then stepping back to stare at Dimitri, "You must be some kind of fool." Was all the servant said as he turned back towards the estate. Dimitri could hear the screams even a mile off from the people at the estate. Aninka still didn't from the position the servant had put her in before leaving.
It was not until several hours later that her eyes flickered open at all, and even then she only let out a rasping sound that might have been a groan before falling into a fitful sleep. When she did finally wake up all the way she sat up rubbing her head, "(please do not swear)." The word came out in a rasp and trailed off as she became aware of the pain speaking brought. Slowly her attention turned to Dimitri, and he got a terrible look from her right then.
"What the (please do not swear) did you do? Why did you do this?" She managed to shout at him. She continued to shout various foul curses at him until eventually her voice died away completely, and she was left to glare at him in silence with folded arms.

Nikki gave a playful, if not sharp, elbow to Yuri's side. "Protect us eh? Oh lord, I would have been bleeding in the streets if it weren't for you my hero" she drooled sarcastically. Joseph for the main part ignored their antics for the most part. He had the same kindhearted nature as Alex but the arrogance of academia in youth's vigor's stead. "Yes, I can keep your posessions by the room the Polis was all too kind to provide me. There are guest rooms, you may stay there for as long and I am as well. Come, let's be free of this place." he said in a warm, almost announcing voice, helping with some of the gear. Their destination wasn't too far from the station, as Nikki looked around with child's eyes at the well kept and well lit streets of the Polis. They came to what looked like a terrace house in comparison to the shambles of Riga. "Step inside," Joseph welcomed, "There is a spare room up the stairs at the front end of the hall behind where the stairs lead up. Leave you items there, I will got some 'i's and cross some 't's relating to your residency. Alex? in the same hall there is a room 2nd on the right, there is a cot in there. Take Katja there" Alex didn't look like he was listening, engrossed with the baby still but he followed his uncles instructions without any sign of response.
As Nikki and Yuri got into the room she saw there was just 1 double bed in the room. This instantly made for a very awkward moment broken only by Nikki's humour. "But if I sleep here, where will you sleep?" stick her tongue out. Outside the window she saw Joseph speaking to a coucilman, unable to read the to and fro of conversation. The meeting terminated with them shaking hands, the coucilman's coat caught on his arm and Joseph subtly slipping in an envolope into it. It was nice to see that politics here was just about bribery than it was about policy and ideology just as it is in Riga.

Dimitri didn't speck. He didn't react. He didn't look at her until the cart ran out of power and stopped. Dimitri disembarked falling to his knees as he coughed blood over his hand, he tried to stand hearing movement in front of them, they were well past redline territory but maybe half a day from polis station. The noise turned out to be footsteps. Men armed with ba$terd rifles and duplets walked twored the light source of the rail car. "Oi oi fellas this guy gots a nice girl with him, " one says as another walked twored Dimitri. "Shore this one has a nice gun, take the girl boys." The man spoke lifting Dimitri up. Dimitris reaction was of this, the mans arm was grabbed as the knife went in and out of his body fifteen times, the mans rifle was then taken turned around and fired at the surprised bandits.the bandits reaction was of this. Seeing there man get stabbed they raised there rifles and or duplets and fired. Dimitri used the body as like a shield for the bullets. When three of the four went down Dimitri dropped the body and ran at the last one who loaded a almost empty clip and fired, Dimitri took three of the six shots until his knife met the man in the neck slicing it open, holding the newly made wound he looked at Aninka and spoke. "Let's go kid." He says pulling a bright orange case out and takes out his last syringe injecting it to num the pain and started walking
When she fallowed and she would it wasent long till Dimitri fell to the floor again and coughed some more, when he wiped the blood from his face he moved twored a pillar and sat down against it pulling his VSSK out and loaded the last magazine. "Aninka,, come here" he said ripping his dog tags off and waited for her. When she was close to him he placed his dog tags and the ring that he kept with them in her hand. "Give these and this." He motioned to the VSSK. "To Diana for me, will you, please" he said coughing again.

Aninka looked at him, her face unreadable, she'd managed to dispose of two of the men attacking them without any weapons, each had died of a rather sickening motion executed with her legs and hands on their necks. She'd taken the time out to scavenge what little the men had before following a trot until she caught up with him against the pillar.
Her face remained a mask of uncertainty as he held them out to her. She motioned at her throat to make it clear she had no voice with which to speak. Slowly, she reached forward closing his hands over the offered weapons and shaking her head. Her hands slowly rose signing as the Spartans taught each other in case of capture. *You will give these to her yourself. I am not a messenger that delivers bad news.* She stood up slowly pacing off for him. For a least one chilling minute, he had to wonder if she was coming back, but then he heard her footsteps as she returned with what to him appeared to be utter junk, wiring from the cart, some electrical tubing that had run it years before, the clothing from the men they'd killed, and what he was fairly certain was moss and some sort of fungus.
She grinned at him as she dropped it onto the ground. He watched her reach into her shirt pulling out what appeared to be a rather simple metal cross. She grinned at him one more time before her fist slammed into the side of his head. Numbed or not, she'd learned that just the sight of being cut open was enough to put most people into shock. Besides, it was easier to work without him speaking.
She began chewing the fungus and moss together doing her very best not to think about where she'd found it growing. While she worked she pulled the wiring from the electrical tube she'd found. It took only a few minutes to remove the wiring so she had a firm tube. With that she set to work digging the bullets from his body and slathering the goop from her mouth onto the wounds. She tore apart the shirts of the men and set about using the wiring to close the wounds as best would be possible. His heart stopped in the process and she grimaced to herself thinking at him *Well you lucky (please do not swear), you're going to get that kiss after all. If you ever bring this up, I will personally break your face.*
The final step made her face fall even more, she'd never actually attempted any kind of blood transfusion, she'd heard it was possible, but those people had labs, she had a bit of electrical wiring and a knife. Oh well, the worst that could happen is he'd die, which seeing as he'd done that once, it wouldn't be so bad. She cut into the vein on his arm and fiddled with the tube until blood leaked from it, she wasted no time doing the same to her own arm and then she tied both sides in place with the remaining clothing and wire. She pushed aside everything he had aside from the gas masks and his cloak and after several attempts to stand with him began walking forward one step at a time with him on her back.
It helped to be angry as she felt weakness from blood loss and a head ache attack. So she thought, she thought hard about it *Stupid Spartan. Comes barging in where he isn't asked for, gets himself shot several times, forces me to put that interest in medicine to use in the most horrible of ways* she spat bits of moss from her mouth and continued trudging along. *And then, he thinks he's going to stick me with bad news. Well think again you stupid stupid son of a (please do not swear) (please do not swear) whoreson.*
About the third hour of walking with him she had to detach the tube and bind her arm and his. He'd just have to get by with whatever he'd gotten. By now she was well in conversation with God, her voice able to rasp out slightly. "It isn't that I'm unhappy with this lot in life, I know, I'm blessed with a pretty face and great skill, but would it have been so terrible if you just made me a noble." Her back hurt, and all she had to say to herself was that she was almost there. Almost there was the mantra that kept one foot moving in front of the other.

ooc (double post because I was half asleep when hearky posted. Sorry hearky.)
Yuri grinned at Nikki with the same weary boyish look he'd given Joseph, "I'm sorry missy, while you may think you're a hardened merc, that tube top tells me that you are a lamb, even if you aren't a virgin one." He chuckled warmly making it clear he wasn't insulting her line of work as he followed after Joseph. He had to admit, the Polis was a beautiful place. Having spent most of his ranger time in Riga or other even worse places, the sight of anything but muck on the streets was welcome.
When they reached the home he nodded thankfully towards Joseph, "Thanks, Doc." He made his way up the steps bursting into the room and dropped all of their things on the floor with a sigh of relief. Then he noticed the bed and heard Nikki's comment. His grin didn't fade any he simply strode over to the bed flopping down onto it. He gave her the most serious look he could muster "I'll thank you not to make any moves on me, I'm a good, proper lad with a gentleman's sensibilities." He rolled over onto his side in mock seduction, "However seeing as you must sleep somewhere, I'm sure I can think of a few places for you to lay down...on." His face broke as he began to laugh and the suddenly became serious again, "I'm not really into women. Aninka was the last ditch effort, and see how well that worked out."
Somehow, he managed to laugh at this as well before patting the bed, "I promise, I won't get touchy. I'm married to the sea anyway."

Nikki was glad she was still around people who could have a laugh, even at grim times, "Not into girls eh? I know some boys who don't charge much if that's the case. I don't know many people who didn't at least try dipping into the other side of the pool" here cheeky smile and jocular glance followed. She sat on the bed by him. "Oh, no, you can touch - just remember it costs you." she gave a wink.
She then heard what was the ending of a to and fro between what Joseph may have hired as a baby sitter and Alex. She popped her head down the door as a middle age woman waved into the room they were in and trotted down stairs, smiling briefly at Nikki. Nikki crept up to the door to see Alex doubled over the cot playing 'peek-a-boo' with the bub. He's an odd one, Nikki though to herself. She never knew many like him. Most Riga boys will find out that one of the notches in their bed post are with child and pay them a visit to punch them in the gut, dangerous extractration with some ungodly instrument, take just enough poison or for have them fall down a flight of stairs. What unbound freedom of youth would want to have something like a baby anyways? Nikki herself almost have 6 children. Alex was very different, he seemed to embrace the consequence of his actions. He was a bigger person than anything that comes out of these depths. She interrupted them leaning in the doorway after watching for some time.
"Happy Birthday Alex." she said startling him. "Nikki, uh, thanks. This is Katja, isn't she beautiful?" Nikki held back that she really didn't like children. "Yeah, she's great. Uh, Al," she began reluctantly, "If Ana and Dimitri don't turn up, I might have out and find out where they are while your uncle figures out his (please do not swear) here." "Cool, when are we leaving?" "No. When are we leaving..." Alex looked up at her, the gleam to his face dissolving into disarmed perplexity. "W-wha-" His risk averse nature gave way to being accustomed as Nikki's guide. "Alex, you're far too good for this world. I want you safe before we leave for the Emerald City. I'll be back alright? Hey, enjoy your birthday. You're 16 now right? Stay with your daughter, you're smart so you can be with your Uncle and work on your mind, you're better with that than with your aim."
She strode away before any response or reaction. She hated doing that to him, but there was more important business to be had. She looked for Yuri. "If that ranger and your girlfriend don't show up tomorrow, what are we to do Yuri?"

Dimitri kinda pushed himself off her rolling onto the floor rolling onto a rail with a grunt of pain as he clutched his side were the rail smashed against his ribs, he spat up blood when it happend and tried to stand up. His hands tried to find a wall and eyes blurred as he blinked. "Chert suka. Don't you listen to orders?" Dimitri asked as he tried standing up wobbling every second. Down the tunnel the flood lights flickered on shining illuminating down the tunnel tworeds the two. A voice came over a loud speaker. " get down on your knees and put your hands above your head now!" It shouted as red lasers moved along both of the dancing along each of them like flies. "Der'mo " Dimitri said quietly as he stumbled back to his knees. A (please do not swear) was fired in front of ani to show that they were serious.
In the station a armored women. Yes a women, you could tell by her hips and the waved she walked, moved walking with another handing him back a clip board. The women's face could not be seen and she held on her back a valve rifle with 4x zoom, laser sight, extended mag, and flash suppresser. On the other side of her was a helsing rifle loaded with steel bolts, she walked to the station door that the sighting of two outsiders where at. She saluted the guards quickly and made her way to the barricade and looked down the tunnel. "Bring them both in. Get the man medical and bring me the other one." She says as she turned barely noticeable to Dimitri and ani her shoulder had the ranger M in front of a flower as a patch. The women went back inside walking to her office in pollis.

Yuri laughed at that as she sat, "No freebies for a poor, broken-hearted ranger that's been defending you." He grinned as he flopped onto his back and fell into a doze. He didn't move until she came back and only then did he shake awake slightly, "wuhh." His eyes lazily opened and he looked up at her with an every lazier smile, "You changed your mind and decided you wanted to snuggle." Her sentence seemed to slowly dawn on him, "Oh. I hadn't...he went after her." Yuri looked rather hateful at this.
"I guess...well. It's my duty to go where you do." He looked at her with doe eyes, "But if that included looking for Aninka, I would have to do that as well." ________________________________________ Aninka had felt Dimitri rustling for some hours since, but it did her no good to know. She'd exhausted her voice complaining to God and her hands were holding his legs enough to keep him on her back. When he finally flopped off of her swearing. She moved towards him weakly flopping down next to him breathing heavily, the palor of her skin and thick sweat making it clear she wasn't very healthy. She signed back to him at first in the Spartan signing, but it ended with a fairly universal symbol, *Do I look like I'm subordinate to you? No. You're just some guy that's made my life very difficult. And (please do not swear) you, you could at least say thanks.* She stood up grabbing his arm to jerk him towards moving as the shot went past.
She turned towards Dimitri who was still leaned against the railing with obvious disgust in her eyes, as the guards slammed into her taking her down onto the ground the last he saw of her face was a look of pure betrayal. Of course he hadn't come back for her, he'd tricked her again. She didn't even struggle against them as they dragged her off towards the woman, just summoned the last of her willpower up to send a bloody bit of spit arcing towards his hand that still held the dog tags where it landed with a squelch on the rocks in front of him.
Then the medics reached him holding a stretcher. They lifted him onto it rushing him past Aninka into the city. She found herself for the second time that week restrained in a room of people that were supposedly on her side. It didn't take long for her to find herself opposite the woman sandwiched between the two guards. "Who are you, and why are you with the Spartan?" Aninka looked the woman up and down reaching the conclusion that if she weren't in a tattered evening dress, and hadn't just spent the last twelve hours trekking with a fully grown meathead on her back that this woman would have been a bite to eat. It didn't matter, her voice wasn't working any way. So she just stood there not saying anything.
"Who are you and why are you dressed like that and with an almost dead Spartan." Aninka gave a bored look and attempted to shake the guard off. One of the guards let go of her slightly and she lifted her hands up pulling the evening gown down so much that the two male guards turned red. The bruise marks around her throat and the bit of bloody spit she brought up answered that question. And soon she found herself being handed a pen.
All she wrote on it was: Could I possibly get a drink of water.

"Right... well did she say where she was off to at all," she asked him, "or where Dimitri is for that matter?" Joseph thudded his way upstairs. "Oh, I see you found the room, the bathroom is just opposite where the baby is should you need it. You seem tired, please catch a few winks before tea tonight. If you're hungry in the mean while, just call out to the maid, now my nephew is home we will be celebreating his birthday." "Thankyou doctor, for everything. We will be off tomorrow I believe." "Yes?" "Alex will stay with you, I insist on this." "Good, I do too. We should be leaving here on the 3rd day, if you take longer than that you can find us in the Emerald City. Just be at any of their stations, I'll find you." "Thankyou do-" "Call me Joseph, please."

Yuri was quiet until the doctor left them, clearly having awoken enough to be more discerning. But his expression was dark when he answered, "No. I didn't know until a few days ago that she was reich. I always knew she was a bit iffy, and had a past on her." he stared off towards the wall, "I mean she showed up so suddenly. And she was a ranger so quickly. And she never talked much about herself." He smiled as if at some distant thought, "And she disappeared a lot, her schedule was so all over that from one moment to the next I'd never know where she was, even when I became her partner."
He sighed at the thought of Dimitri, "No. I couldn't tell you where he is. I'm not a Spartan. I was sent off to help you, he was given a different mission." He studied the wallpaper hard, "The only thing I can say for a fact about her, is that she's always had this air of...nobility...wealth...like that she read about street life and ways from a book."
He shrugged clearly feeling that this was the end of his disclosure on Aninka, but he continued awkwardly, "She's always flickered off an on. One moment she's all over me, the next she's not speaking to me and when I go near her she pushed me away." He smiled again, "My mama warned me about girls like her. Said girls like you were better, at least you don't rob us of our hearts."

A guard left as the women officer signed a slip of paper to the other guard and let him go finding what she wrote down. The women wasent the one with the flower on her shoulder. No that women came in wearing her mask still smirking holding two cups and a bottle of vodka. " am I interrupting.? " the women asks as the lady behinds the desk jumped to her feet saluting. "No sir, sorry sir." The desk lady says. "Good then can I have a word with her alone?" The masked women says as the desk girl nods saluting then leaves the room as the masked one sat down handing aninka a class of water, and pouring herself some vodka. " you know, when I came to see who showed up at my front gate to polis station, I was kinda surprised. It's not everyday you see someone you owe a life to." She smiled pulling her mask off and drinking her vodka. She had a scar above her left eye and from the lower half Of her neck leading twored the left Brest. "That's a lovely dress by the way. But not something the man you came in with would like. You see Dimitri is more into lets see." She stood up going to what looks like a locker in the wall and pulled a new black and red dress out. "Something like this. 400 mgrs for this. And it was such a lovely gift. " she put it back and shut the locker sitting back down. "So aninka, does my face match a name in your head yet. Because it should. Your the one who gave me these scars." She said glaring, her eyes like daggers.
The doctors had Dimitri sedated and down. The tubes lined up into his body since he came in. The doctors hooked him up to a machine to where blood was sercalated(how ever you said the damn word the moves things around and around back into its original place) into his veins. They did a couple of more test. One man was a head scientist who was seeing if this man was a good specimen, a candidate for the tower

Aninka had been trained to go without food and water, and to not give up the upper hand that having such things gave another by not immediately drinking the water, but when the woman put the water down she didn't keep a good face, she reached forward lifting the cup up and drank it in with the kind of reckless abandon that had gotten her swatted so many times by teachers.
Although it wasn't enough water, Aninka was a realist in many ways, the fact that she had to sit through this demonstration, was enough for her to know that God had it in for her. She also realized that if she died, then she'd probably end up in hell, or at best purgatory, so she may need to get used to the waterless state. Either way, she looked put and bored at the mention of a saved life. She'd saved a lot of lives depending upon the perspective of the person she was near.
The mention of Dimitri in 'that' particular light got her hackles up. She leaned forward to the pad of paper writing furiously. She lifted her hand and turned the pad towards this new woman.
It read in bold letter "I am not interested in what Dimitri thinks of anything I do. I am especially not interested in him being pleased with my appearance. I have one two many lovers as it stands without adding a beligerent, musty, old (please do not swear) to the list of my potential life mates." When the woman looked at her like 'oh really', she leaned forwardw with her pen and underlined 'not interested' and 'beligerent, musty, old (please do not swear)' before dropping the pen to begin taking off her boots.
She'd worked one of the boots off and was inspecting the bottom of her foot which was a field of cuts and blisters when she realized the woman was still talking. She looked up at the woman's face returning the piercing gaze ten fold. For several awkward moments, it seemed as if Aninka wasn't going to dignify the statement, but then she simply reached down towards the tattered ends of her dress and drew the remains of the dress off leaving herself bare except for the panties. Except for some minor scars along her collarbone area and stomach there was little to speak of, until she swiveled in her chair to reveal her back, there, the skin was patchy in color, and had little line scars from the bottom of her back to the middle. When she reached to pull away her mass of blond hair, the scars climbed all the way to the beginning of her neck.
She stayed turned away from the woman for several gut wrenching moments, before she finally turned back wrapping an arm around her chest and leaning forward for the legal pad the intensity of her gaze heated. Finally, she slid the pad back towards the woman.
"I do not know who you are, I never learned of your name. You'll have to forgive me, after I saved you from those men, I spent a week in a room very much like your's, with the difference being that there was nobody to eat a heart for me." The line paused before continuing, as if she was allowing the reality of this statement to sink in.
"Although I doubt it will bring you any comfort to know that your "torturer" was indeed tortured for what she did for you, I hope that you understand my back was once as white and pure as my face is now, but that the week of flaying I took on your account robbed me of that as I robbed you of a perfect face. However, I like to think that the rape I received on your behalf from the men that take pleasure in that variety of mental and physical torture makes you indebted to me." The line paused again here before continuing.
"My hand wielded the blade that gave you that, but you must trust me when I say that what I did, I did to save you from a fate far worse than the one you have. In other words, it would be very nice for me, if you could please take those daggers from your eyes. And trust me when I say, while that moment may have defined your life, it was the moments following that defined my own. You don't have to condone my actions, but you could at least stop condeming me with those eyes."
Aninka sat pulling away the other boot for the whole time it took the other woman to read what she'd written. She grinned at the thought of another guard bursting in on them at this moment, and was in the most strict sense considering what she'd half to do to make the other guard think this woman had stripped her of her clothing for sinister reasons.
