Daich snapped as he lowered niki to the ground and slid down the debri as he came up to ani, he was at least two years younger then her as he griped her by the jacket and lifted her up yelling at her. Dimitri had to pull yuri to safety because he did t want to see what daichi would do to him,
Daichi spoke holding her off the ground. "I let the poor walk the streets of polis! There are no kids in polis, there are no familes, no friends. There is nothing but us soldiers, and do not speck of the we one of any metro or of D6 like that. Don't talk about chelley like that!" He threw her to the ground. "Daichi!" Kiro shouted as daichi turnes. "No Kiro, no. She's dead, my little dima is dead and to what, to a attack on the station they stayed at, and from who. No, I'm takeing some (please do not swear) revenge" he days pulling a revolver out and aimed it at her head, yuri struggled to brake from dimitris grip yelling no, "calm down he won't shoot her. He can't" Dimitri whispered to yuri.
Daichi pulled the hammer back. "She was a Docter and just given birth to our daughter a week before she died. So don't! You call any of the females that are related to rangers whores or prostitites." He said putti g the revolver back and walked back to the library.
Kiro spoke then "your all on your own, the entrance to polis is down that sewer and fallow the lights." He says picking Nikki up and carried her as the storm and the librarian Dimitri let yuri go and spoke "I would run." He says as he moves away quietly and stairs into the librarians eyes as he and the other spartan ranger and Nikki move to the sewers,

(Is it possible for you to stop walking off just like that? I can't imagine Aninka would allow him to touch her like that. The moment he makes a grab for her he'd go flying. The only reason I lifted Alex up is because he's a coward and an untrained coward. Aninka is not a coward or untrained. So I'm going to respond in a more realistic way for her.)
As Daich moved for Aninka his hand out she stuck her foot out in a snap sending him reeling backwards. The arrogance of rangers is not only amusing but often their damnation. Yuri wrestled against Dimitri knowing well that it was likely a fight was about to break out, and he wasn't certain who he should be protecting. He landed mid yell but Aninka had moved standing up.
By then Daich had made it back to his feet and was moving for her. She pulled her knife belt off and dropped her guns. As he moved for her fist out she twisted around him impossibly fast and sent him sprawling back to his feet. "I was not speaking of your wives or girls. I was speaking of the ones like Nikki. The ones that live outside the ranger's stations. The ones that call on you for protection. And in turn your people take advantage of their souls and bodies for your own pleasures."
As he yelled the part about his daughter and pulled the gun she smiled, "That's right Daichi. I killed your daughter. I personally came in there and did it. My people did it. So I'm responsible for every one of the people they've ever killed. If the world worked like that, I should point a gun at you too shouldn't I?" Her hand raised showing one of her guns she'd picked up at some point.
Yuri struggled, "Aninka don't shoot him." Aninka grinned, "Right. Because your people killed my parents. Your people beat them to death and raped my mother. Your Spartans found my family run away from the reich and beat and raped my mother. And your people made my father watch." Her voice wasn't passionate like his was. It was like she'd said it so many times it no longer had meaning. "And then your people took me, and you dropped me in a slaver's hands. And they took me back to the reich. Your people sent me to the academy. Your people raped and tortured me until nobody could touch my mind with drugs or pain." She grinned, "And your people taught me to hide in plain sight and take down a city from the inside out."
She smiled through the mask, "My mother. She was 22. She was pregnant with my little brother when your people did that. And I got to watch them do that. I can still hear my father's screams every time I see the Spartan's crest. Begging them to take everything we had." She clicked the gun into place, "Do you know what they said to us?" Slowly she lowered the gun, "They said we deserved it. They said no money could pay the blood on our hands. My father was a writer. My mother taught children too poor trades. Neither'd lifted a gun in their lives. " She shook her head, "Your daughter is dead...I'm sorry. She did not deserve that." She shook her head, "But then my parents didn't deserve what your people did to them and to me. Nobody has ever said sorry about that. Everyone who knows what I am looks with pity. Like that I was accidentally made this way." She waived her hand, "No. I was made this way. Your people made me a monster, and then they called me one. And no matter what I do. No matter how many children I feed, no matter how many lives I spare when killing them would be faster. No matter what, I'll be a monster."
She turned towards Kiro, "I'm not going to Polis without Alex. And I doubt he's going without Nikki. I think you should take your Spartan and make sure he doesn't point another gun at his head." She grinned behind the mask, "What was it that caused you to lose faith in life?"

Nikki rolled her eyes at he bickering. Now that they were safe back undrground, she decided to chastise the whole lot.
"You all (please do not swear) imbeciles. You dipshits. You dick head mother (please do not swear). I should have let the mutant (please do not swear) ape things rip for (please do not swear) balls off. 'Oh, she just let us know about an angry, territorial mutant; we better yell at eachother, that will keep it calm.' You idiots!" She said as she made sure none of those things followed them back down into the sewers with them, covering their retreat as they popped down the hole. She popped her suit off, as did the others, although the way Alex moved was strange a jolty.
"(please do not swear) you Nazi gurl, (please do not swear) you you spartan ship (please do not swear) (please do not swear) these new people I don't know. I wish those bat things would have put me out of my (please do not swear) misery." The stress of them almost being torn asunder by the librarians's massive fists was starting to cool. Her demeanor changed to introduce herself,
"By the way, I'm Nikki." She said with a laugh, holding out her right hand.
She though Alex would be more comfortable down here. Afterall, he knew under Moscow better than most know the backs of their hands, but he was still a bit jolted by how Aninka spoke to him before. It brought back memories...
"Are you alright Alex? You don't seem right. Al? Mate, you with us? C'mon, we don't have much farther." she said, concerned she placed her hand on his shoulder. He flinched back immediately, his eyes glazed over and his face painted in pain and fear. He crawled onto the concrete shoulders out of the water that flanked the storm water canal. Tears were streaming down his face by this point, his body shaking in panic. His face wrought with very immediate sensation, however, his eyes were distant.
"NO, DON'T HURT ME SIR!"
"Don't call me sir. And I wasn't going to-"
"UGH! Please Sir, don't do it again, don't do it again! I'll be a good boy! I'll be a good boy, I PROMISE! UGH!"
"Alex, what the (please do not swear)?"
"No, please not again sir!. Why do you have to hit me like that Papa!"
"Alex, it's right, no one's going to hurt y-"
"PAPA! STOP! IT HURTS! I'LL BE GOOD SIR! PLEASE STOP PAPA! AAAAH!"
Nikki had no idea what to do about this weird panic attack. What, after all these happenings and he chooses now to have a flash back? Nikki who was was as gentle and skilled at calming people as a chimpanzee was as writing soliloquies, crouched by him,
"Um, there there, its going to be alright" she said, awkwardly patting him at arms length.

Aninka and Yuri both took their masks and suits off as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Yuri set about packing them up while Aninka ran a hand through her hair and then took it from the knot she'd tied it in letting the golden waves fall back down her back and shoulders. When Nikki started yelling Aninka leaned against the side of the sewer wall and pumped her fist up and down, "Yeah. You tell um girl." She grinned turning towards Yuri who was putting the pack back on his shoulder, "Yeah. (please do not swear) you Yuri. Do I even know you." He grinned back at her shaking his head, "(please do not swear) you Ani. I hope you know me."
Aninka shrugged, "Eh. Random men in your bed isn't such a bad thing once you get used to it. I find names clutter everything up. A (please do not swear) you and the faction you represent is much easier." He struggled not to laugh as he stood up beside her. Aninka leaned off the wall to take her hand in a firm grip. "Aninka. I'd tell you the rest, but then I might have to kill you." She wiggled her eyebrows in a way that suggested she might be kidding...might. Yuri took her hand after, "Yuri. I'm a ranger, I think I've seen you around before." Aninka's eyes flicked to him and he blushed.
When Alex started freaking out Aninka knelt down beside him and Nikki. It was strange for him to watch, he could not say he'd ever seen her as gentle. Fierce, fiesty, fun, independent all lept to mind for him. But motherly or gentle did not enter into her picture. Instead she put her arms around his shoulders pulling his head against her chest. Her face was distant from them all, like she was thinking of something that she wasn't certain had happened, "Alex," She whispered, "It's going to be alright. He's never going to touch you again. I promise. You're strong now. And someday you will be as tall as a king." She gently touched his hair and kissed the side of his cheek, "I promise it will all be alright. We'll find a place for you to be safe." Nikki and me will find you a place. And even my big lump of a bo will help you." She smiled hugging him still, "You're already past this. You're tall, handsome, and healed. And you're leading people with your knowledge and charisma. And you're helping them find that the sun isn't blocked out."
Yuri was too surprised with the image before him and the suggestion that he somehow was Aninkas to be insulted by her crack at him.

Kiro raked a hand threw his hair, he didnt care about the war, he wanted people to live life, back on top of the metro, he took the case of money and handed it to ani,"reich girl. Here. Find a nice netrual station and make a home with that guy. What you said about us, about how we are and act, I don't care, I want to see people prosper, a truce between us all wold be great." He says looking at one of the guys that were at this station door and told them to stand down. Daichi and Dimitri stood there as Kiro took his mask off and pulled his hood down he was atleast 68. "I've been a soldier for to long. Time to bring people together so our only worrys would be mutes and bandits. Reich girl tell your leader to get his ass over here." He said sitting down coughing. Dimitri turned. After getting a stair from Kiro. "Alright. I'm sorry. Happy now." Kiro wasent and Dimitri spoke again. "I am, sorry for trying to kill you. Maybe we get drink some time all of us, I let you meet the wife da?." He tried to sound nice as the owner of the checkpoint pulled his radio to his ear.and stood up."there's a attack at the east gate, we need to move to help repeal intruders now!" He got up grabbing his rifle and went there.
Daichi went fallowing Dimitri and the major. Kiro spoke." mercenary, take the kid and stalker out of here via the west tunnel. Reich girl, are the invaders friends of yours. Ranger head to the gate and help defend it." Kiro waited for a answer

Nikki was quite impressed in how An got Alex to stop his weird little panic attack. He was still sobbing in her arms while she spoke to Kiro,
"Alright, we'll meet you at the Komsomolskaya, where the Red Line intersects the Ring Line. Hopefully the Hanza will be too busy dealing with commies to recognize him. After he comes to he'll know where to lead me." she said and he finally got over himself. He looked around as if her just woke up, looking a little confused., wandering why his eyelids were raw and why he was in the ground, and why a Nazi was hugging him.
"Look, I got plenty of ammo for this thing" Nikki conversed with Kiro, "Yeah, there were rations in that library. She should be good. We get to Komsomolskaya and it's it's a straight line to Chritye Prudy and neutral stations all the way to the Polis." She then went down to check on Alex
"Hey you alright now?"
"I-I think so. What happened?"
"You had a li'l panic attack there. All good, just don't do it again. Say, you reckon you can get us to Komsomolskaya from here?"
"Well if we're still on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line then there are a bunch of old maintenance electric conduits all along here"
"Well when you're ready we'll be off. Here, have my old Lolfe, who ever gave you that (please do not swear) revolver a;ready thought you were a (please do not swear) shot."

Aninka looked at the case and Yuri moved forward accepting it allowing her to comfort Alex. He worked about stowing it in his pack. "Many Thanks Sir."
Aninka released Alex the moment he'd calmed down over to Nikki. She grinned at that woman's speech, "Hey. Better to have im' start with the best than learn to use garbage. That's my reckoning of it." She chuckled slightly and stood up as Dimitri began to speak to her, "Yeah, I'll have a drink with ya. And I apologize for stealing your bounty." She grinned, "But you must admit that message made your day." Yuri had wrestled the case into his pack and came over to stand with Aninka slinging an arm over her shoulders and giving a small glare to Dimitri.
The moment she was asked about if friends of her's would attack the gate she considered the question. Her friends were all spies. She didn't know much about the movement of soldiers. But she did know that if their soldiers were attacking she would have known...unless, "Hey does anybody know what day it is." Yuri rummaged through a pocket and turned reporting, "30th of Septem-- 1st of October. Time just changed." Aninka looked startled, "No way." She dug into her own pocket producing a similiar time device, "I have the 15th of September." Yuri shrugged at this, "What's the difference." Aninka glared, "The difference is that if it's October then it's likely that is soldiers from the reich and if it isn't then probably it isn't." Her tone wasn't precisely kind, it even had an element of blaming and panic in it. This caused Yuri to throw up his hands, "Don't expect me to get your little spy thing right away." She turned to argue and instead put up her hand to silence him, "Let's just go. I'm a ranger and I intended to go have a look see about this."

Kiro lead them tworeds the gate the gun fire could be heard as heavy wepons platforms were going at it, miller was directing orders from his wheelchair behind a safe area, Dimitri and daichi were covering a few civilians trying to escape. Militia and secerity forces fired away at the on comeing forces. Kiro gave a order to yuri to help out the left side he couldn't order aninka around, she wasent a ranger. Men fired again. "Atleast there's no armored train smashing threw this time." Kiro said as he ran the limp was noticeable now in his leg from when D6 was attacked, when he was injured. "Dimitri cover the right side I don't want heavys moving up and flanking us." Kiro orders as Dimitri responded moving his gaze and firing, daichi did the same.. Whoever was attacking was in a world of hurt now.
A little boy was in the middle of the firefight behind our line but with bullets Firing in every direction over him. Soldiers couldn't stop to aid those in need at this time. But Kiro could, he turned seeing the child cower in fear and ran dropping his rifle and ran scoping the kid up in his arms and took off tworeds the second barricade.
On the enamy side the sound of a rail gun was heared as it was shot aiming twored the easy target of a man running with a child. When the shot connected to kiro's body it staggered him hitting his shoulder. "Hans that spartan ranger is still up hit him again" a reich yelled as another shot rings out hitting Kiro in the back below the heart. He fell turning so the child wouldn't be hurt by the fall landing on his back and shoulder. Bullets flew over his head as he held the child makeing sure he wouldn't be harmed

Yuri moved to do as he was told obeying immediately. He charged across the lines towards the left pulling pistols from his sides. He rolled taking aim and firing. Aninka had stepped back uncertainty plaguing her like a disease. She already knew why these reich were here. She was two weeks late. And two weeks late had been agreed as her having been caught and in need of rescue. And Vlad was a man of his word even when he was furious. She watched Kiro go down and felt a pang of sorrow. He'd been a nice guy. She didn't know him that well, but the Aninka with brown hair had always liked him very very much.
She considered continuing to hide and help with medics until she watched Yuri turn to go bursting out after Kiro and the child. When he reached them a loudspeaker boomed from the direction of the railgun, "We are not here to siege you unless it becomes absolutely necessary. " There was a pause as Yuri gathered up first Kiro and then the child. "Come on, they've ceased fire for the moment come on. We can do this." By the decree of the Chief Marshal of Espionage, High Lord Vladimir Ioannovna Courland the 10th," The speaker boomed, " You are to return his betrothed, Agent Aninka Apollonia Aleksandrov otherwise known to you as Ranger Aninka Aleksandrov to the reich immediately. In return for this we offer you not only the lives of the two men and child currently in our sights, but also a similiar ranger hostage we took snooping around our borders. Send her out quickly." Yuri was still moving with the child and a shot clipped past him sinking into an already dead soldier, "Do not move or we'll be forced to stop our bargain."
Aninka turned smiling weakly at Dimitri. Her hand moved towards her belt holding out her gun, "March me out there with a gun to my head. And please don't pull the trigger. Wait for Yuri to get out of there with the kid." She reached pulling her belt of knives off, "And please give this to Mantis, I'm sure he can sell it for a shiny coin." Yuri was frozen trying to hold the child and stop the old ranger from bleeding out. But he had time to look up at Aninka with only betrayal in his eyes. He was muttering, "(please do not swear) betrothed. FUckign High Lord Marshal. What the (please do not swear). What the (please do not swear), I should just turn and shoot that speaker." Aninka looked down at her feet, "And um..." she pulled the ribbon from her hair holding it out to him, "Tell Yuri, I'm sorry. Mostly just sorry. Tell him to take the case and go find a good girl."

Alex had already Nikki away from the main group before the conflict occured, choosing to go to Komsomolskaya alone and staying there until they could meet them alter. After their farewells, they headed off further down the tunnel before Alex stopped. He looked to Nikki to help feel a rusted mantanance door off the wall. He urged her on into the cramped space emerging in a claustaphobic tunnel. Nikki was pushed right to her limits trying to keep up with Alex's nimble darting through the subtopian catacombs, weaving through the confusing mess of cramped light up by their rapidly bobbing night vision lamps..
"Alex, hold up, can we get a rest?"
"But we can get there within a couple of hours. At this pace we'll be in there in half a day! Do you want to be in here for half a day?"
"I can be in here for half a day. I cannnot keep this up for a few hours."
They crawled through the place over the next 6 hours nothing but eachother and the mutant vermin to keep them company. it got real tired really quickly, the place really was abhorrent, the musk of neglected years stuck to the walls of one's lungs like a black paint oozing through the cracks of bricks. The only source of excitement was the dread fear of the distant snarls of a roving nosalis. After those hours of crawling through these places lit by only lamps and mushrooms, Nikki heard a sound.
"What was that?"
"We're here! Help me scrape away some of these spore buds." She used her combat knife to help cut away chunks of plant material barring them from an old steel door. Alex then laid on his back to kick the structure out with both feet. He hopped out quickly dusting himself off before turning around and bowing low with his hand out to help Nikki out of the crawl space as if a gentleman helping a lady off a stage coach.
She looked around, this trade outpost where the Red Line and the Ringling Commonwealth intersected. Posters of communist and Hanza propaganda decorated the walls, stands with food stalls, clothing and equipment occupied the undergrowth under a shanty town canopy defiling the artwork of an age gone bye. Alex, being cheesy and loyal to Nikki almost pathetically kept bowed low,
"M'lady, welcome to the Koltsevaya Line, Komsomolskaya."

Dimitri took aninka by the neck and held the revolver to her head walking her out tworeds the first barricade. "Ill give them to mantis, you know they will torture you to hell and back." He says as the sound of rangers and militia yelling tworeds the riech to surrender instead or they would be forced to kill every last one of them, these were only threats until the rest of the forces and there secret wepone arrived. The snipers turned as dj intro was phased the first barricade. "Don't worry knowing your boyfriend, he would come save you." He says turning her around when he said this and hugged her acting like they were family or good friends. Then returned her to the position with the gun to her head.
If any reich moved during the trade off Everyman would fire apon the enamy soldiers. And they now had the rocket launchers hooked up so it was going to be a nice boom. For anyone behind cover. On the right side a Frankenstein grenade launcher was placed and maned. The heavy wepones platforms were ready to open fire. They waited for the order to kill. But what ranger was being traded to them they wondered.

Aninka bit her lip, "I don't think you understand. The man that governs all our units in every city is also my master and intended." She walked forward slowly. A similar unit had appeared on the other side except theirs had two men that seemed to be carrying an unconscious (at least) body. Guessing that it wasn't impossible these people lacked the education for betrothed and intended, "It means marriage. In case you were wondering. And I doubt he's going to do much more than rough me up a bit for making him worry." She tried to smile as he hugged her, but mostly she could feel that old sense of decay rising up around her.
As they passed Yuri he looked up at Aninka, what the (please do not swear) was written all over his face, "Aninka what is going on." She kept moving, "I'm going home, Yuri." He stood up with the man and moved forward medics streaming out to collect the child and old ranger. "No you aren't. When are you coming back?" Aninka looked over her shoulder smiling, "As soon as I can. Maybe a week. You'll help Alex right?" He nodded slowly, "Yeah." Aninka nodded in thanks. "Aninka." She looked at him, "Yeah?" He looked at her hard, "I love you. Don't forget who you want to be." She didn't respond although Dimitri could have sworn he heard her whisper "and I you."
And then, the reich came to a hault before them holding what looked like the bruised and barely alive body of one of the Spartans that had gone missing, Feitka. Dimitri might not spot it, but this particular Spartan's disappearance heralded Aninka's sudden appearance in the ranger's. She knew it. They moved forward dropping the body onto the ground and moved to take Aninka from him. "We will honor our word. You can move as you please." They turned walking her back towards their tank.
