The crowing of the large gargoyle like creatures known as demons dived at the group, Dimitri pushed yuri back and dived backwards as the three of the demons swooped down tworeds the group again, Dimitri took aim changing the clip to one that was all MGRs and opens fire on the demons, "one, you aim a weapon at a spartan ranger, two. You trust one who could have doomed us like lesninski did with the reds., three. I don't really care. But you better aim your gun at the demons instead of me!" He shouts as he unloads another clip into the things.
Around the polis area a few blocks from the library daichi sat in a tower sighing as he provided over watch for some heaves cleaning out some nest, Kiro shouted for daichi to see the demons flying and swooping down, but could not see what to."probably just a bog mother or watchers Kiro" he says and goes to sit back down

(And yet, despite her and myself knowing it, I did it anyway... ^_^)
Yuri ducked under Dimitri's fire and backed up against him forming a better 360 arc between the two. He wasn't aiming so much anymore. Just pulling the trigger. "Well. One, the Spartans are a bunch of macho (please do not swear) who have chips on their shoulders that only God himself could knock off, so I don't feel too bad only aiming a gun at one of you. Seems to me that your lot needs a few more guns aimed at you so that you stop acting like you run the (please do not swear) place."
He turned taking down a daemon that had almost broke past Dimitri's line of fire, "Two, we're all doomed anyway, so trusting someone that has a path of hope isn't really that big a deal. It's not like we're living in (please do not swear) Camelot here. Our children starve to death while most of the reich children are either servants or warriors. So their ruling class is much better off, at least they don't (please do not swear) pretend to give a (please do not swear) about their poor." He ducked as a claw swiped at him and pulled Dimitri down with him.
"And I'm going to replace your three by pointing out she has really great legs, and you didn't give her a chance to explain herself. Not all reich are the same. And she's the poster child there if you catch my drift." Yuri continued to fire at the daemons.
Strangely, when Dimitri moved Aninka did not fire at him, even though she'd be well aimed for it and all training would have indicated for her to fire. Instead she simply turned ducking a claw by one of the daemons and opened fired at the creatures. Unlike Yuri she seemed to be aiming for their wings with the guns. She also moved towards Alex. He watched a daemon come swooping down at him and right before it would have hit he watched3 blades come bursting through it's chest. Then it flopped back as Aninka extracted her hand blades included and turned whipping them at a gargoyle that had been headed for Nikki from the side.
"Alex. Since I may get a bit scraped up here and even die to keep these creatures off of you, I think now would be the time to lay out my plans for the Alliance of Humanity." She turned gunning down several of the creatures, " See, I've always wondered what would happen if we all just stopped fighting. Now I know because of class systems and who did what to who it'd never be possible." She turned repeating the same blade action as before, "Basically if you left the world to your thug ranger hire over there, he'd use the code of an eye for an eye to blind every single person and cut out their heart." She ducked under another claw that tore the side of her duster instead, " And while it has been a lot of fun putting blades in the people keeping this place up and running, I'm starting to think about raising children, and I wouldn't want to raise them in any one of our (please do not swear) up regimes. Unless I had to pick, then the reich is my shoe in choice."
She grinned around the fray of battle, "But what if, I could do what the reich wants, only better. What if I could unite the peoples under the common understanding of humanity. Now I know my hands aren't clean enough for this, but you...you could be a poster child and leader like no other...And so I swam through darkness and water, to come and offer you what I consider to be destiny." She ducked under more blows from the still swarming monsters and finished, " I think it's time we offer people another option. And I think that you, and your woman, are just what this place needs. But if you disagree, run off with your ill gotten gains that are from the blood and sweat of the lower class and prostitutes to live a life of comfort and normalcy. I can do the same, except I won't be on the run. And, me and Spartan boy over there will do this forever until finally I'm standing on his throat and we're the only two people left."

Mantis had not been fond of Ani's plan since the beginning, politely declining every time she had asked to move out there. It wasn't because he was scared of the bird like creatures circling above them, it was because he knew that with his weapons rather short reach he wouldn't be much help unless he was a distraction. And if he had learned one thing in his life as a Stalker, it was being the distraction was not a very good role. So he sat in the shadows of the ruin, his black cloths hiding him perfectly in the darkness. "I wonder what they mean by their 'toaster'..." He muttered to himself, casting his mind back to when all that thick purple stuff had been around them and Ani got all scared. It didn't really bother him but it was strange that other people got so scared in places like that...
Not that he had too much time to ponder the matter however as the Demons began to attack, just like how he told her they would. For a brief moment he contemplated just sitting back and watching the fight. There where sure to be something he could scavenge afterwards, besides he was being paid to take them to the station, not make sure they got there in one piece. But still... For once something didn't seem right about upping the odds of survival...
Giving a sigh the mask boy used his axe to push himself to his feet, banging the weapons head twice on the group before sweeping upwards to rest on his shoulder. Striding out into the chaos outside he drew one of his revolvers, instantly taking a snap shot at a Demon swooping the *crow caw*, clipping the joint joining it wing to its check and bringing it skidding to the ground where he finished it with a smooth axe blow to the head. Looking up at the woman, Mantis took the time to tip his hat at the woman despite the fighting go on around them. "Ello there. Perhaps you should move somewhere more sheltered?" Pausing to score a head shot on a beast swooping Yuri, Mantis turned back to the woman without bothering to check his handiwork as he seemed strangely aware of what was going on whether he was looking at it or not.

(I should have posted. In the war between red line and reich, polis is neutral, they are just the guardians of the metro doing the harder things in life and protecting those weaker then them, they really don't try to get into the war, hell they even went face first to help a station defend the self against reds. And there have been stations that were lost to nosalies swarms even with ranger help. But hey reich and redline could be feeding lies. And rangers are just soldiers not a station place like the reich)
Dimitri looked at ani's legs. Yuri had a point from what Dimitri could see, she had a nice pair, what was he thinking, god damn Dimitri.. He shook his head and fires at the last one putting half a clip into its head and holsters the aks bringing his Ashot out and turns again at the women ani. "Oh don't you go spreading things into his mind lady, last time we tried a truce between you and the reds it was a attack on D6. So until you get a new leader. Then.. (please do not swear) what am I saying. You can ask the council, as the reich you are."
In D6 on stage Diana danced and swayed singing a lovely tune, as something reached into her brain pulling back the past makeing her grip her head and fall to her knees in pain screaming. The soldiers of D6 reacted three men pulling her of stage and rushed her to medical as the rest griped what wepones they had and moved out searching for what ever did this.
"And you, stop trying to get inside my head," now they would never be sure why she did this but the dark one gripped the minds of aninka, and Dimitri. Maybe it was do to the hatred among each other, it pulled there minds together in a sort of shadow seei g threw the eyes of another. Dimitri spoke "what is this, what are you showing us?" He asks, as he beared laughter he could place anywhere, laughter of Diana's. "Diana!?" He says looking around as he finally notices it. He was seeing thre Diana's eyes.
-the past- Diana walked threw the large doors flanked by two reich heavys with saga 12 shotguns, she laughed no scars and her perfect feature. She was in a large office nice for the metro, ip behind a desk was a man of importance. "Lord feuir, what does my love wish of me today?" She asks putting her hands around him toying with him, he turned back handing her hard enough to make her stumble and smash into a glass coffee table cutting her face, her first scar. "The damn ranger have D6 I can feel it you *crow caw*, and what's worse, the reds are mobilizing.. " he turned around and looked at her in disgust, "leave my sight!" he yells as she gets up scurrying away in fear holding her face. As she walked down the hall she saw another female walk past her, Dimitri wouldn't recognize her but aninka would recognize her own self. Diana tried to flee that night only to be caught and tortutred in ways, one couldn't Belive, Dimitri didnt watch he banged his fist onto the ground, she was then cut for the top of her right Brest down to her stomach. Her screams of pain and agony was all Dimitri heard, four days passed as she was dragged into the large room again, "Diana you are going to be my little spy,min side of polis. Befriend one of them, get close to them." He said turning seeing her state and smiled. "Take her away," he says to the guards. From there it was the ambush where she met Dimitri for the first time.
The vision stopped as aninka and Dimitri were sent back into there own minds. Dimitri stood and looked at his ha do as they were shaking they must be all looking at him cause he had tears down his face, his right hand went to his Ashot as he pulled it out and placed it to his own head, seeing his lyes past, the lies she has told. He pulledmthemhammer back and closed his eyes

Nikki understood not the mistke she made until some members of the apparently fleeing flock swooped around to attack. Her was a sharp shot with her lolife and was quick to learn how hardy they were, reacting to little less than head shots. A few pot shots took another from the sky. She combated those who had landed with her Abzats, the rapid fire of the shotgun shells embedding themselves into quicksilver mutant flesh range out with the bells of hell's bells. She back off slowly, preoccupied with 3 of the monstrosities. She was able to fell one before she slung her Abzats over her shoulder and she ran for the hills. and the other enraged and wounded beasts gave bloodied chance in bezerker pain. She ran among outer columns of a small abandoned building which stood a lowly ruin, its use as forgotten as the structure itself. In the closer combat, she had drawn her ashot for the closer melee, she loaded one of those dragon breath rounds. She backed through the derelicted structure, hoping that she lost them. She then felt the hot breath of one of the creatures on the back of her neck. It was a quick reaction that she put a large gorey hole in its head. The resounding sound drew the attention of the other, which smashed through and crawled around the scrumbling structure. She was fumbling the next round into her ashot but had gone into running from the creature as she did so.
She looked back at the demon, it would be almost pathetic as it futilely waved its now tattered wings to fly if it weren't for the fact it wanted to soar after prey. She ran into a crack of a grand looking building, a crevice just too small for the enraged creature to pursue through. She turned her night vision lamp on to reveal rotting shelves of decaying books. Plant like Liana writhed slowly and gracefully in the cavernous building. She dimmed her lights and stayed quiet as she let a small pod of Gorilla-like mutants go by, keeping as silent as possible. She must be in a library, she didn't know which - this is the most she's ever done on the surface. She silently checked her equipment, the integrity of the suit so far. She slouched down to have a break.
This didn't last long as the creature has been working on that hole in the wall after its aggressor. The sounds were getting louder as the wall crumbled. The stale chamber flooded with light as surfaces that had yearned for the sun for years now were hit with full force. The sudden torrent of day attracted thpse large, quasi intellegtent creatures again. With territorial vigor, 2 what were obviously males investigated the large, screeching demon, teeth bared. The females lead the youngsters away as the territorial behemoths charged at the winged beast. One's huge form was rent torn by the flurry of blades. While the demon was distracted, its brother smashed its bony frame under a torrent of sickening crunches. Nikki used this opportunity to get away. She dodged lashing Liana as she made for a door. With it she closed it behind her. Turning on her Nightvision lamp, she found the place empty of any other life. She also found in there some whiskey, beef jerky, musly ration bars, vitamin suppliments and a VSK-94 - a great replacement for her shoddy lolife; all guarded by the bone dry remains of some ranger who died in this room what must have been ages ago. The skeleton hadn't even stench anymore. the VSV came with plenty of ammunition as well, which she stuffed into the same case which the money was in - thankgod that was never dropped - and she tied the deseaced's combat life crudely to the barrel to form a clumsey bayonet. She thought she would rest here for a bit, enjoy the loot she had some across before stowing most of it in her back pack with her clothes. After hald an hour or so she would look for the others if they survived. Her chest ached for concern for Alex. Alex's reaction was predictable - he looked for the closest bit of wreckage and hid in it. Yuri's words wre lost on Alex - he had read the tenants of fascism and was not impressed. The wholesale exclusion of communists, jews, mutants and homosexuals to the fate of wholesale genocide was not worth the ethnically and culturally homogeneous paradise promised. From the piece of wreckage he coward in he took near-useless pot shots at the beasts which at best distracted them and at worse drawing attention to himself. The only comfort her got was from the Dark one's presence. He knew it was around and that was keeping him sane for the meanwhile. Once this melee was resolves Dimitri, Yuri or Mantis would find him in that same piece of wrackage, hiding from those beast that lurked.

ooc (Hearky, Aninka was the one setting out that proposal to Alex, and she was making it clear she didn't want a faction comprised of reich. She wanted to create the more or less fifth option... sorry, I wrote that really fast because I had club meeting.)
Aninka fell gripping her head as the day flashed back to her.
She'd been at the academy for two months then, just long enough to earn her hair back. It was still short, falling just to the edge of her cheeks in gold curls that were more curl than wave. She'd watched the girl get dragged past her as she stood in their academy uniform. Her eyes were trained not to show sympathy for the woman, she knew that it wouldn't do any good. But still, as the girl clawed at her while they hauled her by, she showed deep pity for her. She knew what was going to happen. She'd been through it too. The process of earning clothes was not a kind one.
"You asked for me sir?" The master looked up at her not speaking as he studied her proper posture and excellent form. She didn't smile or blink. "Recruit. I've been informed that you have yet to pass section eight's test. And luckily for you, a canidate has just been provided. Please follow those men you just saw." She felt her stomach sink. Section 8 was not the pleasant tests. Even her head masters grimaced over it. Still, she bowed properly as he waived her off. She moved still hearing the girl's screams. She followed them into the dark room where they'd already hung her from the middle of the room. The men smiled as she walked in. The debauched do so love to debauch others.
"Here for your section eight lassie. Well I guess that means you have all the fun then." One waived her forward, "Take your jacket off." She obeyed trying to hide her growing sense of repulsion and terror. "Now of course you've already learned to resist similiar tortures. But sometimes a recruit gets in deep. And some people don't like to answer questions. And sometimes you find other agents not obeying orders. In such cases it is only right that you bring them back to the light. This woman is the latter. She disobeys his Lordship. Teach her the error of her ways."
Aninka stood before the still crying woman holding a blade. Her hand shook slightly, and it was clear she was trying to find somewhere else to send her mind. But she couldn't instead she looked at the woman. She couldn't have been much older than Aninka. She couldn't have even been trained for this yet. For all Aninka knew, she was a new recruit. Aninka remembered the new recruit that participated in her section one.
She gulped and with all the dexterity and finesse she could produce she brought the blade down across the woman's mid section, not deep enough to do anything but draw an ugly line that would form into a scar. She flinched slightly as blood dripped from the blade hitting the ground. The woman screamed in pain. "I'm done. I won't do this to her. She's not asking for this. She hasn't even been given the drugs yet." She felt a lash fall across her back hard, "You're done when we say you're done. Again." She shook her head, "No. She's not a recruit. She isn't even a soldier. We don't do this to her. She is us." She felt the lash hit her back again and it bowed her over in pain. That was when she broke. She moved into the darkness the blade in her hand. The first man's throat she cut up. The second man, well to put it simply, nobody doubted her ability to torture someone from that point onwards. She'd dragged him out before Diana and cut his face to pieces slowly while crouching on him. He screamed the entire time. And then she took the rest of his body apart piece by piece being certain not to kill him too quickly.
When Aninka had finished she'd leaned down to the man and taken a big bite out of his heart and then stood up and dragged the soft part of her blade across Diana's face. "Pretty girl. You don't belong here with us. You belong out there where the world will eat your heart." It was then that the other agents waiting for the room had come in and hauled Aninka away. Nobody had ever figured out that she'd played them. She knew that Diana would be tortured by somebody else. But she couldn't save her from that. She just made sure it wasn't those two men. She sat up that whole night still tasting the human flesh and knowing what they'd do. She also knew tomorrow, she'd be awarded her section 8 and go on to the training that was enjoyable. The reich wasn't looking for sane people.
*End*
Aninka shook her head slightly, "No. I didn't hurt her. I was just following orders. I didn't want to do that first cut. It wasn't my fault. I tried." Tears were trickling down her face. Yuri looked over at the two of them with surprise and moved towards Dimitri who had his gun raised. He moved towards Dimitri slowly, "Dimitri, look at me. Look at me." When Dimitri's head turned he reached out quick as a snake wrapping his hand around the gun and pointed it up. Then he worked about getting it away from Dimitri, "I think we've all had a tough day. And it would be best, if we got moving for somewhere that we could all rest." He turned to look at Aninka wishing to comfort her. But she'd long since stopped crying and was just on her knees quiet as the grave. Wherever her mind was, it wasn't a place that was about to be touched. Instead she rose up walking towards Mantis. A daemon flew at her only to fall mid flight with two glittering knives lodged in its throat.
She caught his arm and pointed him to lead on. "Yuri. Drag that Spartan if you have to. And make sure he doesn't have a grenade. I'm not getting blown to bits because he has a screw loose." She turned marching off into the wreckage. She didn't have to try hard to find Alex. And when she did she reached down lifting him up by his suit and setting him on his feet, "I'm a little done now with your run away and hide routine. My leader or not you should know to defend yourself and never leave comrades behind. God protects those who protect themselves. And he says love thy neighbor. And despite the fact you're a kid, you've just entered a world you aren't ready for. And no amount of books will ready you. " She let go of his collar, "Now. We are walking towards the nearest city and we are tying that Spartan up to protect all of us and him. And then we are going to rest for a night. And when we wake up, me and you will have a proper conversation. And if at the end of all that you still aren't on board with my plans, I will let you have your suitcases, minus an escort fee that will more or less cover the rooms and food for the night and a little ammo, and I will personally take you to whatever place you wish to go." She paused holding out her hand.
"And if you aren't for that plan, then," She pointed off towards the library, "You can go that way. With Nikki. And hope to god she is half as good with guns and the wilds as she is with dicks. And hope that she knows how to avoid political unrest, and foul play." Her hand remained out stretched, "And if you're wondering, I'm planning to send Yuri to go fetch Nikki and bring her with us. We won't leave behind your little woman.
"Mantis. Get guiding. We have a lot of money, and not long before the beasts really come out in force. If it comes to a choice of who to trip to the wolves, I suggest leaving the Spartan. We all clear on what the (please do not swear) we're doing." Her voice wasn't the same devilish playful before. It was ruthless and cold, and made it clear that her wishes would be met by hook or by crook.:

He just knows that your're from the 4th Reich and that you're talking like their propaganda. Also Nikki isn't there, she was chased off into the library. Alex is still with you guys.

(Okay, eneough of all the ooc stuff . Don't expect this to have chapters, just a quick stop gap) Ales kept his gaze down, as he did when any assertive person spoke at him. Appeals to any gods were as effective as a sword against a tank, his Uncle had raised him sans superstition. His uncle was a man of science, not petty faith. This remained as silent as Alex was, however. He tried helping out, the revolver in his hand stil smoked hot from his futile assitance. He flinched every time Aninka leaned forth, he whimpered "yes sir" with every command Aninka barked; but it was going to take more than a chastising assertion to undo what his father had done. He signs of his abused, broken spirit were as clear as day, any inner strength as bruised as his body ever was. He looked so hesitant to go off with Yuri (another ooc - Nikki is sorta having a quick briefer after almost being bat food, then gorilla food so she probably won't get moving too soon unless she here's somebody actively come for her.)

Two Spartans one with a preved rifle and another with a aks-74u moved threw the church looking for some goodies. "Daichi you think these books will be worth a lot?" Kiro asks as daichi makes his way to a women, or he hoped it was, "ha ha I know a women does, kidding Kiro." Daichi says as he moves closer hearing the librarians Kiro was already reacting as one jumped down, Kiro took his shambler shotgun out and stained into the eyes of the librarian, intimidating it to go away, daichi picked the lady up and looked to where she came from, the only hole was up the stairs, "Kiro look outside." Daichi orders as Kiro went up the stairs and took a look. "It's him and two rangers a kid and maybe another kid stalker. By the looks of it. Dimitri! Over here!" He yelled shining his light at them.
Dimitri got out of yuris hold and pushed him away shaking his head he started to walk tworeds the library, "look girl. I have the biggest edge to shoot out your legs and let a librarian bash you up, but I'm not like that." The vision hurt him in a way he believed others wouldn't understand "so I give a choice, you and your boy toy here." He got a look from yuri who was about to talk. "Shut up. Can go find a place other then polis and live. And I promise not to hunt you down." He said turning a laser sight on yuri dancing between yuri, ani, well between them all really, "but the boy comes with me, stalker you can hitch a ride to another station from polis with yuri if you want."
"I would love to keep moving now Dimitri and get back into polis because there's a storm comeing, in oh two minutes" Kiro says. That was the indication they needed to move. Now

Nikki heard something in the library. She was scared for a moment that the librarians had caught up with her and she should be a bloody pulp in a very near future. However, she heard the mumbling of human voices and came out cautiously, her shiney new VSV aimed high, leaving her stupid old lolife back with the dead ranger. She stalked out with the preditory guile of a cat. There, she saw Dimitri and Alex with 4 others she did not recognize (If I have it right, there's 2 rangers, Mantis and Yuri). She saw that also stalking them was a very large librarian was stalking them. Wounded and scarred from its past confrontation with the demon, white fangs bared and glowing with territorial add barely bound wrath. "Psst, you guys. Don't move, just squat down and come over to me *very* slowly." she whispered, "Alex don't freak out and don't look behind you."

Yuri let Dimitri go, there had been no wrestling match to it. He moved over towards Aninka and Alex folding his arms slightly and then he noticed the others. He waived Aninka to follow, but she shook her head slightly. The moment that Dimitri pointed a gun at Yuri though something in her snapped very slightly. It was strange, she'd had so many guns pointed at her by this man at some point, but him pointing one at Yuri was the straw that snapped her, either that or the recent memory was what snapped her. Psycologists would argue forever.
Her mind had been designed to quickly understand things around her, and it had also been taught to turn those things into a sharp edge. "You aren't in control here. You're never in control here. You insult Yuri for his standing by me, but at least he knows what I am." Her thoughts were moving a mile a minute, "You want to know the difference between me and your little girlfriend?" Her voice was cool, "I believe in something. I want a safe place for my children. I want love back in the world. I want no one to ever starve to death while others have so much." The eyes of her mask seemed to bore into him, "And I want children to have to stop killing. I am not reich by birth, I am reich because reich saved me from the fates I just spoke of. And then when I was very young they offered me the chance to help others. And I took it."
She wasn't about to be merciful, "But your little girlfriend, she isn't in it for any of that. She's just broken. She just broke under them. And even her, you are a monster to think to pass judgement on. You do not know the trials of an agent of the reich. You do not even begin to know what they did to her that day to produce a person so frightened they'd betray everyone and anyone to not end up back in that room."
She continued standing, "And you sneer at Yuri. And with his reaction to my telling him I'd say he already knew." Yuri nodded, "I did." She turned, "You want to know what's wrong with this world. Thugs like you. You walk through the streets of the polis little children grabbing at you for hope, and you cast them aside. You force your women to become prostitues just so they can continue to eat and sleep in warmth. You think the reich is wrong, I agree. You think you're right. I think you're an arrogant son of a (please do not swear) that's never known what it is to be desperate. I think you believe in whatever ideals keep you well paid and let you strut around like you run the place." She grew quiet, "I'm taking that boy with me to the city. And then I'm taking him to the place he wants to go."
She turned slowly ducking down finally at Nikki's request, "And if you don't like it. Then you better be prepared to shoot me. A mercy warning, when you do, I hope you're aware that you'll be giving the reich a martyr like they've needed forever. And that it will likely lead to the destruction of your little city. And if you think we aren't close to taking it already, well I guess you really only do know how to use a gun."
