I am trying to make a scenario for my friend and I. He has played Space Wolves for a LONG time now and I am just starting with Nids. He would like to play a 2000 point army and told me to make up any scenario I would like to play. I want to make this fun for him and so far I kinda have an idea about what I want to do.
I was figuring going along the lines of Starship Troopers when they are force to defend against the endless bug swarm. My idea was to let him set up 2000 points of units in a semi bunker/building and me randomly spawn units each turn.
Special Rules:
Space Wolves: Will receive preferred enemy and stubborn for all units, but will not be able to take any vehicles.
Tyranids: Will not have an army list and will randomly spawn Xd6+X types of units each turn. The table edge is determined by a roll of 1D6 with 1 allowing him to pick the side and 6 allowing me to pick the side. These units are then determined by either 2d6 or 3d6 based off of how many different types of units I can produce taking out units I can't produce due to them being on the board already (I may make those rolls reinforce the ones already out there, but who knows). All of this will be based on what I can find as fair to go up against 2000 points of Space Wolves taking in to consideration the randomness of the spawns. Also, when spawning, anything with a composition of more than 1 will be rolled for as well... ie. Warriors will spawn 3-9 Models with a chance to spawn a Prime with them. I am also thinking about making the spawns larger and larger each turn, with a higher chance of spawning say Dakkaflyrants at the end. There will be no FoC rules for me, but once again, it is random what I get. They will be base models of course, with few exceptions. Termagants may spawn as Devilgants, Genestealers may get a broodlord, Warriors may spawn as melee only on the first 2-3 turns, same with Raveners and Shrikes, same with pretty much anything that can be both melee and ranged. There will be more to come on the rules, and I would GREATLY appreciate your input on this.
