Nodding briefly Will simply said ,"go ahead." He tried to recall the feeling from last time, but it'd happened so rapidly, his mind never took hold.
---------
He'd been in the bath for about 5 minutes before his sense of the outside world was washed away by the hot water, leaving behind his mind and a detached sense of comfort. The surface of the water was a patchwork of soap and clarity, on which he subconsciously fixed himself as he wandered.
Meeting Garasu and Shikaku had been interesting. The former was barely stable, whether it was inherent or just brought on by the situations, he didn't know. She felt guilty in the same way, although for her, there was no additional destructive factor...
He stopped himself as though he were about to go over a cliff. It was lurking, he had a vague idea of what it was, but admitting it would be the end.
He got out of the water, using his power to blow any soap suds back into the water, off his skin. From there, he dried, changed and headed to where he was expected, half wondering what would happen to his clothes.
On arrival, he thanked the sisters gratefully, before taking a seat. There, he drank tea rather quietly, while nibbling slowly on a piece of fruit. Evidently, he was preoccupied.

Nyanko hugged him for what little it was worth, rubbing his hair through the ridiculous beanie he had on. "It's okay. I'm sure the Archbiship will be able to explain. She seems very wise." Nyanko smiled lightly and I think...I think your mother is here too." ____________________________________________
Laura smiled sipping her tea as Ellen began to get worked up. "Is she in a coma any longer?" Laura's voice was sweet, "No. She is not. A tempory pain to bring about an everlasting good. Is that not all that my Church believes? Is it not upheld in everyday life? A woman goes through labor to bring a child to this world. Temporary pain, for the greatest joy a woman can know. A man tills the fields, so he can see his children grow strong."
Laura nodded at the accurate description of the Catholics, "Indeed. But worry not. We are not going to send our soldiers. We are sending the special forces of Necessarius." She smiled, "Yes, even Necessarius is not so arrogant as to think that they do not owe your order. While our order's don't exactly have a lovely friendship, I like to think of it as a marriage." She stood smiling at Stiyl brightly , "Yes, you certainly may see your son. Right this way."
She led Ellen through what seemed to be a rat warren of twists and turns, several steps down, and finally they were in a hospital unit. She kept moving until she reached a private room. She knocked on the door before pushing it open to reveal Nyanko and Sverre. --------------------------------------------------- Sister Elise looked surprised at Will, having hoped he would especially dig in to the delight prepared. So she filled a plate with all manner of foods and set it down before him, "Sweets makes everyone happy. Also, you might feel better if you take that look off your face and talk about it instead."

"Then we work against his challenges, do we? If he's there, if this is his way, we're cheating him no? I don't know that pain, we came up with epidural anesthetics. Farmers drive tractors, we make life easier, sloth is no longer a sin. Maybe that's why I can't believe, when we find a god we then find it unworthy of that title. We prove the pain...unnecessary, and so we avoid it."
The walk through the labyrinth was taking its toll on the already weakened witch. Haru's effect reverberated throughout their bloodline and Sverre was her closest blood tie of all and was lucky that she had not died. When the door opened up, Nyanko was in mid sentence. "Moren?" "Erre, kommer hit min sønn!" he staggered over to her frail embrace before his concerns spattered in their mother tongue. Ellen hid similar fears from her distressed boy. Larua, knowing Norwegian herself, picked up on the boy's discomfort; his materialistic world view under jeopardy to the idea of something ethereal to life. To reassure herself, as well Sverre, she looked at him through the same crystal sphere at him, her witch sight still recovering. She saw her son's presence. It was injured, hollow even, but it was recovering and it was there, heavily scarred like the stump of a severed limb - it would never grow back, but it would certainly heal. "Sverre, you'll be alright. You're better thisway, I promise." While her son was in her arms she looked up at Laura with renewed graciousness. She mouthed softly, "Thankyou."
Sverre was feeling far more comfortable now, although he was not fully content - there were still questions about what he felt was missing from him, questions that his mother's cold dogma were too limited to answer.

The two gratefully followed the escort to their seats looking with wonder at the food laid out. “It… It looks like a picture! Everything looks so good!” Shikaku exclaimed. With an exclamation of “Itadakimasu!” both began to eat quickly.
“Ah Forest-san!” Shikaku looked up from the table as Will walked into the room. At which point he received a warm smile from Shikaku, and a more reserved, but still friendly smile from Garasu.

Laura smiled nodding in acceptance of the thanks and moved over to Nyanko to look at her. She leaned to her, "How are you feeling?" Nyanko looked up nodding. "I'm fine." Laura leaned forth pinching her cheek slightly, "Stop that, I want to look at your eye." Nyanko grimaced as the illusion she'd been maintaining fell away to reveal her tightly shut eye. Laura leaned forward to pry it open and grimaced at the eye which still looked sicken, the pigment had drained from it, and while it had seemed to heal, it was all white now. "Can you see from it." Nyanko's voice was low, "No." Laura nodded at her leaning back as the illusion returned.
Laura smiled somewhat sadly and turned back towards them, "Tea is served. Clothes have been provided in each of your rooms. If you wish to dress, your friends will be waiting for you." She bowed politely, "But I must go. I need to make preparations for the coming fight." With that, she smiled as she passed Ellen before disappearing back into the maze of tunnels.

Will looked up with a surprised face, seeming to question whether it was him being addressed, despite the evidency. Her maternal tone was one he hadn't heard in years, but it set his speech back a few seconds, so he attempted to gather himself by looking among the food while his mind processed the relatively simple words.
"Sorry I'm just not terribly... hungry." He stared at the nun, wondering if the comment was sufficient. Clearly it wasn't, so he stretched on.
"No... I don't... I don't think we will be talking," he said, immediately withdrawing his look to the plate, beginning to chew more urgently. The statement would ruin the meal itself if something else wasn't said, so he took responsibility himself, with the most commonplace concern.
"How are Nyanko and Sverre?" There was certainly nothing with which the question could wrapped, but he hoped the sisters could talk endlessly given a suitable topic.

Laura didn't flinch as a storm of birds races by her with razor vengence forming as the ever-faithful Eda by Ellen's side. "Moren?" "I need to be back in Japan Erre, people will wander where I am." "But how about-" "The Archbishop is a friend of mine, she will answer your questions." "Matron" Eda sounded of impatiently "Yes, I'm coming. I think we're over staying their protective ward's welcome. Help me off the groups before opening another portal. Farvel min sønn." "Farvel Moren" Sverre saw his mother goodbye as Eda accompanied Ellen to the gates before disappearing to a flash of baleful light.
Sverre, not being the most specially aware person ever, looked really uncomfortable in the unfamiliar environment. It was not necessary to expose the full extent of his powers now untethered by the limitations of magical blood, but he did seem more familiar than he usually did when dealing with unexpected and unfamiliar circumstances, taking the information of the layout of this place from one of the sisters that had walked by - his telepathy was near latent. He looked at Nyanko in his usual expressionless glaze, "We should go this way."

Nyanko smiled as she stood up and grabbed his shoulder, "I know. I already know that the sister there is considering her faith. She isn't sure because of the espers." She smiled brightly at him, "But if you go out like that, you'll look like a bum. Which I admit is normalish for you, but while I'm in charge you are going to at least change clothes." She pointed at the pile of gathered clothes for him, which somewhat sadly looked like his usual clothing.
Nyanko skipped out of the room returning moments later in a too tight shirt and skirt. She glowered, "And if this happens to you, well, everyone else is going to see a pink sundress and sweater. Don't you dare tell them." _________________________ When Sverre had changed she followed him down the hall reaching out to find Garasu, Shikaku, and Will to try and feel their states. Will's worried her. "Will is going to need reassuring." She said out loud to Sverre uncertain if he would feel them all as well.
She stepped into the kitchen waiving at everyone "Hey. It's great to/" She saw the food and she ran up to the sweets shaking slightly, "Oh my god. Err...I mean oh my gosh. This is amazing. Sverre, Sverre over here look, there is a cat shaped tart." She looked up at the table and smiled at everyone, "Will. Why aren't you eating? Eat more!"

Somewhat taken aback by Nyanko's sudden appearance, Will managed I blurt out a collection of words demonstrating his surprise. Then he took another meagre piece of fruit, hoping it was sufficient to satisfy everyone's demands for him to eat.
Wills dietary habits were average for a male of his age. He enjoyed food, although he avoided overeating in fear of the sickness that would follow. Now, however, that was irrelevant, why he couldn't enjoy someone else's food at the moment confused him, as there was no definite answer and no hint other than an overarching sense of guilt.
Now a void of silence seemed fill the space above the table, to which he felt responsible. He conjured some obvious question and asked Nyanko and Sverre collectively ,"are you both ok? You've been gone a while..." They could sense a slight desperation for an answer, lightly on his voice.

Nyanko plunked down at the table next to Will leaving space to her left for Sverre. She had a plate laiden with sweets and fruits so high that she'd have to eat in layers. She smiled at Will, "I'm feeling much better." He noticed that her eye appeared completely normal and that the scaring that should have been visible over the eye was non-existant, as if the damage had never happened. "And my powers are recharged." She smiled as a slice of cake lifted from the table behind her to hover in front of Will. He noticed she was eating a slice of the same cake, "Try this. It's delicious."
She leaned forward conspiratorally, "Erre-chan has been cut off from the magic. He might be a bit off until everything gets sorted. The Archbishop is currently in talks with Kanzaki and Stiyl as to what to do. Apparently, They are working out something about an attack on a library. Stiyl wants to send only himself, Kanzaki, and Haru to the library, while Kanzaki feels that taking them, and Garasu, and somebody that knows the place, and a telepath would be best. The Archbishop is uncertain because she doesn't want to place anyone else at risk."

Sverre, as ever, was trapped in his own little world. Although not exactly the easiest little bugger to read, it was sorta obvious that he was feeling down. The clothes that were given were two sized to big, hanging off his slender frame untidily like the dying tendrils of an autumn willow reflecting his mood. His face too reflected into the bowl of broth that lay in front of his, a small whirlpool formed as Sverre twirled his finger above it telekinetically driving it on as a soaking piece of bread orbited with the spiraling, his other hand a pillar supporting his temple. Although he grieved for whatever he couldn't work out was missing, his fine new-found control of powers was very precise and although fatigued beyond fatigue and not in any condition to show off the extent of what would stand out even amongst the level 5s of the world, it was far from unclear that he was not the impulsive, ill-controlled psimaster he once was. He kept is statuesque gaze afixed down to that bowl of broth and obscured by the stage drapes of white of his hair.

Nyanko looked at him with worry obvious in her eyes. Her interest in the food dissapted like a rock had been dropped on her head. She began to poke some of the fruit with her finger without really eating it. Sverre felt a force brush his hair gently, which appeared like a breeze to everyone else. It left his hair out of his eyes and Nyanko had reached over with her free hand to hold his.
Then, moments later, Stiyl, Kanzaki, and The Archbishop came striding into the room. They smiled at everyone, although it was clear there was worry in this smile. "Hello. We're sorry to interrupt this, but one of our scouts finally got back to us on the state of the library," Laura paused uneasily. "And the situation has worsened I'm afraid. The Catholics aren't backing down, and the scout said the beast looked like a wolf of older lore. A monster. I can't imagine how it got into the library in the first place, but it must be stopped."
She looked at those gathered, "Worse, it appears as if the place is blocked up with anti-magic wards." When nobody reacted, Stiyl spoke up, "It means that me and Kanzaki cannot enter there, and that if we did manage around it, we'd have no powers. That's what's causing the wholesale slaughter of the Catholics. They aren't backing down."
Kanzaki looked at the table, "We cannot force any of you to go in there. Necessarius is capable of waiting it out until those wards disappear." Nyanko looked at them, "How long is that?" Kanzaki grimaced, "A week at least. And that assumes whoever put them there can't replicate them." Nyanko stared at them. "If you want our help, you should tell us the last part the scout said."
The three Necessarius members looked at each other, each clearly trying to decide how to react to the obvious suggestion that Nyanko had been out and about in their minds. "It is rude to read thoughts." Kanzaki said coldly. Stiyl looked uncomfortable while Laura folded her arms. "People deserve their secrets young lady. And it is not right to use your powers for snooping."
Nyanko didn't seem to react to this at all, "It is wrong to withold information from people who you need help from. Especially when that information is so crucial to their success. And I would say nothing, if it weren't so clear you were not going to tell us."
Stiyl was the one who finally blurted it out, "Jinx and Elise are there, albeit on separate sides. Elise is with the Catholics. And our scout's team identified Jinx on the ground of the library right before that beast attacked and killed all but the survivor." Nyanko nodded at this as if satisfied. "I at least will go then."

Both Garasu and Shikaku stood up from the table when Nyanko and Sverre entered the room and greeted them. Shikaku cast a quick worried look at Sverre, but seeing he was apparently whole she gave out a slight sigh of relief and sat back down to the tea.
“Ah Nyanko-chan , we were just having a meal! Won’t you and Sverre-kun join us?” Her gaze shifted from Nyanko to Sverre and when it moved back her eyes widened in surprise. “Nyanko-chan! You can’t possibly hope to eat all of that yourself!”
Garasu looked only for a moment at Sverre and then looked away. Her expression changed only in the subtlest extent, but the change suggested a release of tension as she turned to greet Nyanko.
Garasu seemed distanced from the conversation regarding the library, having no desire to go on a mission to recover some books. She was however listening and when Jinx’s name was mentioned her head spun rapidly to look at those conversing as she stood up quickly, causing the chair to rapidly scrape across the ground.
“I’ll go as well!” She blurted.
Shikaku stood up from the table and addressed Stiyl “I would like to come along as well!”
Immediately Garasu rounded on her. “Absolutely not Shikaku-chan!”
Shikaku’s face took on a stubborn aspect “I want to come with you. If you care about Jinx and consider him a friend then so do I, I don’t want to keep watching you run off on your own like this, I want to help.”
“No, It’s too risky.”
Shikaku’s face remained stubborn as she looked again at Stiyl and Laura. “I want to come, and If your magic won’t work for you then wouldn’t having another esper help? I promise I’ll be careful, but I want to help! Please Styil-san.”
Garasu turned to Stiyl with daggers in her eyes. “don’t let her Stiyl-san.” ”

Stiyl looked between the two girls and stepped back, as did Kanzaki making it clear the decision did not rest with them. Although, anyone paying attention would notice the thankful glances they shot between each other. Clearly, no one wanted to get between the two squabbling friends. Even the Archbishop looked as if she would like to cast off her title and authority at this. But that passed.
"You can't hault fate, Garasu-chan. It has its way with all of us. It was likely meant that you meet all of these people and have things happen to return her to life. But what use is that which you have given her if you do not let her live it?" The Archbishop looked at Stiyl and Kanzaki, "I order that both of them go with Nyanko. I suggest that Will and Sverre go as well. Although if they desire otherwise return them to Academy City. I have a council meeting." She bowed to the gathered, "Thank you for your aid and for your relationship to the Magical Index." WIth that, she turned to leave.

Sverre didn't physically react to the news but the psychic twinge he gave in response made it very clear that he was annoyed that any sense of stability would once again be more of a forlorn hope than a foreseeable reality. The fact that he was tried, not eating sans assistance, his looking into Laura's mind before she left, but he could get an acceptable answer, Nothing made real sense unless you were to take fairytales as true as well. He turned to glance at the Archbishop, frustrated with this feeling that made sense, he got her attention with no miscommunication. "What did you take from me? What's missing? Give me a physiological reason I feel I've lost something because nothing's physically wrong!" Not showing how he was feeling save by his eyes teetering the brink of tears.
