Well one of the up sides of having an open world rp is that people can join at nearly any time, so I would assume so :3
And I'll have a post done by today.

Apologies, I was online all day until 6pm when I stopped to cook dinner and watch anime with my bro ^_^.
Yes, the world is absolutely open, it would in no way be problematic for you to join at any moment.
The only warning I'd issue is to please read everything carefully and feel absolutely free to message me with any concerns or questions and I will respond promptly (I'm sure others here can vouch for my lack of a social life and insane sleeping hours that leads to quick responses. :3 )
Otherwise I can't wait to see your character!

Name: Jinx von einzberg Type: Esper (explained below) School: The Black wing (see marics introduction) Biography: Jinx's misfortune started even before he was born, months before ,his father died in an accident, his mother died while giving birth,as such,he ended up in an orphanage. He only stayed there for about 2 years, ,the orphanage was filled to the brim and his superiors were cruel and had an extremely short temper, before long Jinx started talking to himself and playing with his amulet, the only possession he had that belonged to his parents, he was thought to be a genius, mastering speech completely at only 14 months. He was forced to leave when the orphanage burned to the ground, chaos ensued in the fire causing almost all of the children to burn to death. Official documents say a malfunctioning oven caused the massacre. After that incident, the kid no longer showed any sign of emotion, talking to others only when absolutely neccesary, the amulet was never seen since then and Jinx fell ever deeper into insanity it was only when he got to the second orphanage that he received a name,Jinx, for all the misfortune that seemed to befall those close to him, shortly before he hit the age of 4,a rich duke by the name of Einzberg adopted him, not much is known about the time he spent there, all that is known is that he suddenly transferred into the Black Wing at the age of 15,yet even there,he still didnt socialize. Jinx kept muttering to himself whenever he had the time, eating in complete solitude and spending all time outside of class in his room,as such, nobody really knows what he's doing, why he's here or how bad luck still manages to befall to all who tryed to talk to him. Description: for a reason unknown, tho speculated to be his fathers influence,he doesnt wear a school uniform yet goes dressed in black jeans and a black hoodie, his hair is pitch black, reaching the his neck at the back but only reaching up to his eyebrows on the front. his eyes are colored brown. Weapons: none Skills: Jinx is a very skilled hand to hand combatant,is capable of hacking most software. Personality: silent, mutters to himself and avoids contact unless neccesary, seems socially awkward, causing most ppl to stay away from him. Other possessions: a cell phone Other notes: his esper powers are strange,he has the ability to imagine things into reality depending on his mood,at most his power is barely at lvl 2,tho at rare moments he reaches lvl 4, due to his insanity, his powers aren't usefull at most, usually being ridicilous things like a spoon made out of glowing hot metal or ink conjured by his hand instead of a pen. aight, let me know what you thing

Accepted completely on the grounds that you pm me some extra information on this duke Einzberg. I like his name and his mystery so you have to tell me about this father figure. Otherwise, Seems excellent. I'll write you into the section of people you know later today. (Although if you want to jump ahead and post you can assume you know Maric, Nyanko, and at least one other person (you can choose if you get to it before me.) Maybe the only sugggestion I would give is find an anime picture that fits your description and post it. (Not even close to required is completely and utterly a suggestion for if you are a fellow no lifer like me.)

Hi everyone, I'm Jaka's brother, she showed me this and it looks like fun, first time doing an RP of this sort so I may be a bit clumsy.
Name: Kyōretsuna Garasu (Shattering Glass)
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Type: Esper (LEVEL 3), Magical, Child Error
Esper Ability: “Mirror Query”
Garasu’s power revolves around reflective surfaces (or rather the reflections themselves). At level one this capability manifested in the form of the ability to alter and distort reflections (changing details, warping appearances within the reflection, etc.)
Upon achieving level two, she gained the capability to actually enter/exit those reflections and move around within them (including within their altered state).
At her present LEVEL 3 she has developed the capability to jump from one surface to another and has gained significant control of the distortion of such reflections She can also bring other people and objects into the reflection though she must physically move them through the surface to do so.
In theory, it’s possible that upon achieving LEVEL 4, Garasu could quite reasonably begin bring elements besides herself out of the reflections or in other words make the reflections a two way channel.
If Garasu were to achieve LEVEL 5, it is quite feasible that she would be capable of causing reality to match the reflection, after all, who’s to say that it isn’t the world inside the reflection that is reality and our world is just the reflection, and isn’t it just common sense that the reflection should mirror reality? Maybe both worlds are real… or maybe neither.
Present limitations on “Mirror Query” include the inability to manipulate, or safely enter a changing reflection for example moving water. Damage/outside change to a reflection Garasu is housed in poses CONSIDERABLE health risks. Her manipulations require concentration/thought, and therefore only so much can be changed at a given time/speed.
School: Fuhen no shinri no gakkō (School of Unchanging Truths)
Biography: Kyōretsuna Garasu was a child error. She never knew her parents, but that didn’t matter because neither did most of the other children she had known when she was younger. Garasu was always just a little bit too introspective a thinker, but never one for action. She was shy, but she had one friend growing up, another female child error ironically bearing the name Senmei Shikaku (Vision Clear). Shikaku was blind, she had originally been born extremely poor sighted, and was selected at the age of eight for an experimental vision correction procedure which failed miserably, resulting in the complete loss of her vision.
When Garasu was younger, she tended towards vanity. She was proud of herself and she spent a substantial amount of time preening and looking at herself in a mirror. However, Shikaku constantly told her that the appearance really didn’t matter; it was what was inside that was essential, that it was because Garasu was a kind person that she was her friend. Garasu always laughed these statements off gently, and often jested that it was easy for Shikaku to talk like that when she didn’t have to see outward appearances.
When Garasu was ten and Shikaku was twelve, Shikaku disappeared without explanation. She reappeared three weeks later in a hospital on the brink of death and with no memory of anything in the preceding three weeks other than gaining consciousness in an alleyway and staggering into the hospital’s ER. Shortly thereafter Shikaku died with the cause of death unknown.
Garasu was utterly devastated. She’d lost her dearest friend, and she didn’t have even the slightest idea why, the possibilities were endless, but they all had the same conclusion Shikaku was gone. Garasu skipped classes for the next week, spending all of her time locked in her now lonely dorm room, hating whatever, or whoever, was responsible for her friend’s death… and hating herself for not having the power to stop what had happened, for not even having the power to know what happened. At a late hour of the night, her tear stained face looked up at the full length mirror hanging on the opposite wall. She hated seeing herself there. “I’m worthless, there’s nothing I could do to save her,” she thought. She didn’t want to see herself. “I wish I could just see her alive once more,” She thought. At that instant something happened in the mirror, she saw Shikaku walk into the room through the door and sit down on the bed next to her. Stunned, Garasu looked at the bed next to her and saw it was empty. At first Garasu thought that she was hallucinating from grief and lack of sleep, but as she looked at the glass, she began to doubt that. With all the silence of a ghost, the reflected Shikaku pulled a pen and paper off of the desk, and wrote down a message which she placed against the other side of the glass. It wasn't your fault. There was... is nothing you can do. I love you. After Garasu was finished reading this, Shikaku walked back out of the room just as silently as she had entered, closing the door behind her. This was the first time Garasu encountered her power, and she wasn’t even certain what exactly had happened, but for the first time that week, she fell asleep without crying. Years later Garasu still was uncertain. One theory put forward by the academics who she told the story to claimed that perhaps it really had been Shikaku who had been pulled forth by the power. The scientists had theorized it had something to do with AIM fields, that perhaps something was left after Shikaku died, and Garasu had merely brought that forward.. On the other hand maybe it had just been what Garasu had unconsciously created in her anguish. Many times, as Garasu’s power continued to develop, she brought Shikaku into reflections on purpose, but to this day she has no idea whether or not it’s actually Shikaku or just the reflection she wants. As her power increased, she found she could shift into the image. She disappeared for a month into the mirror, and spent the time talking to her friend, sharing meals she created in the reflection. During this time she continued to wonder if Shikaku were real, but now, looking out through the mirror at “reality” she began to question whether there was actually any difference between where she was spending her time, and where she came from. She returned to the “real” academy city and continued her studies.
To this day, she still wonders about reality, and she still wonders what caused the death of her friend. But today, a man appeared at her door, covered in a gaudy cloak and hood. He tells her nothing but the truth, well… almost nothing but. He tells her about her friend. About an experiment that began when Shikaku was only eight, and ended when she was twelve, on the day Shikaku died. He gave many details, but the long and short was that she had been selected for an experiment to see what the effects of having a limited grasp of reality (no vision, hearing, etc) would have on the development of Esper abilities. Due to the fact that she had never developed any ability despite the obvious fact that she could not see reality, more extreme measures were taken with the goal of stimulating power growth. The stimulation was successful, beyond expectation. For a few brief moments, Shikaku became a LEVEL 5, though the exact nature of her power was unknown. Garasu was shown a video of Shikaku’s last few moments of sanity, before she, and all the scientists in the room had collapsed into comas. Those moments ended with a shrill, sobbing scream. It was at this moment that Garasu broke down gibbering and mumbling. She had never expected this possibility, and she had long ago given up on learning what had occurred. The man reassuringly whispered in her ear and began to tell her another story. About a girl named Index, who had come to the city recently, about the magical knowledge she possessed, and would inevitably come under control of the same people who had managed to do so much harm with just science. He told her that in order to save thousands of innocent people, Index must die. Because the knowledge she contains cannot be allowed to fall into the wrong hands. Garasu didn’t need convincing, she wanted revenge, she wanted what had happened to Shikaku never to happen to another person. She wanted Index dead by any means necessary. The man showed Garasu a few spells to help her reach her goal. He warned her not to attempt them until she confronted Index. He also gave her a short sword which he claimed was a replica to a sword which belonged to one of the Apostles of the Church. Despite the weapons small stature, a slash from it could reach across a medium sized room, and its edge was razor sharp. Now Garasu sets out to the streets of academy city. She sets out to find a certain magical Index.
Description: Kyōretsuna Garasu is considerably disheveled; her street clothes are plain, worn, and mismatched. Though her school uniform, a stark black vest worn over a grey top, with long pure white skirt is clean and ordered. Her hair is black, of medium length, and curls upwards from her neckline, but is notably uncared for. She has muddy red eyes which often clouded with signs of insomnia. Her everyday appearance is considerably different to that of her reflection, which she consistently changes to that of herself from six years ago bright, immaculate, and smiling. Personality:
Kyōretsuna Garasu’s every day mannerism is detached and disinterested. When she does engage others in conversation, or debate, her thoughts are often short and unnerving. Whether she is insane or not is up for debate (a debate most people won’t want to accept her theoretical answer to), she is unquestionably disturbed. Over time Garasu has developed an obsession with power, and knowledge. Her driving nature is good, she does not desire harm for innocent people. However, her attempts at kindness often do more harm than good. An attempt to comfort often achieves the reverse; an attempt to set right often flips the world upside-down instead.
Weapons:Sword of Saint Peter, a compact mirror she always carries.
Other Items: A cellphone, a wallet with a small mirror embedded into it.
Skills: Philosophy, mixed martial arts (not talking Jackie Chan here, but she can defend herself reasonably well), procrastinating.

Hey Everyone, this is my adorably dorky older brother. (He's also the aforecited person I watch A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Magical Index with who gets full credit for dragging me kicking and screaming into enjoying the show.) He also smells. Anyways, he decided to join us. Tyamius do not hit on him, he isn't anymore into the southern black hating, gun toating, farm boy shtick than I am. Everyone else, be as nice to him as all the other newbies. (And nicer, because I'm the one who beats people up in our relationship. ^_^ Anyways, I accept your character Ky. I'll post up the backround of who you know when I do for Jinx and daboss, But you can assume you know Nyanko, Index, and Haru. Feel free to post anytime both of you. Jinx, I saw your message and it is exactly what I was hoping for. Hopefully I'll post later today. I'm really just waiting on Ty to stop being a girl (translation from Jakaish: having a social life, jobs, and responsibilities). WEEEEEEE!

Hokay,
Jinx you know Nyanko, Maric, and Garasu. You know Nyanko because she's spoken at your school before on behalf of Judgement and you are fairly certain your father has mentioned her before with a tone of respectful dislike. You know Maric because you both obviously go to the same school and pretty much anyone, even the anti-social ones know him if they go to your school. Maybe he bullied you, maybe he got in your way at the lunch line, but you've heard of him and probably met him once. You know Garasu because your adoptive father specifically mentioned her as part of some future plans although you aren't certain which those are.
Garasu(stupid last name) You know Haru, Index, and Sylus. You know Haru and Index for obvious reasons, and you know Sylus because he hit on you at a bar you were getting food and information at about a month ago. Whether or not you enjoyed this is entirely up to you (probably he's lucky to still be breathing out his nose.) He is unaware of you as you are just one in the long line of girls he's said "does my big shadow impress you?" to.

@es- Sorry man but you'll have to wait until tonight or maybe even tomorrow for a post as I want to break out these presents and I have no idea what people have planned for tonight. Other wise I have other forums and special people to attend to, but that shouldn't take too long
