Whats up guys, got a chance to rematch my buddies Dark Eldar last night, and man what a game.
Came down to a single dice roll to determine the match. Always make for the best games though!
I know my list is not the strongest or with much variety, but I am limited on models, and I had to give my tyrant some ups just to meet the point limit lol. But it was fun regardless.
We got a lot of the rules much better as this is our third match of the day. But again all feedback is gladly welcomed!!

------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission:
The Scouring
Deployment:
Hammer and Anvil
Terrain:
In my deployment corner I had a large piece of jungle terrain which had another smaller piece attached to it. Ahead of the large piece there was a small jungle fortification. A fence was ahead just a little to the right of that piece. To the left of my deployment were a few small rubble pieces, along with a Space Marine fortification ahead of the rubble in the back.
In the Dark Eldar deployment was a large ruined building with 4 floors. ahead of the building was a section of ruined city walls. to the right of the DE deployment were two jungle sections, and ahead of the jungle fortifications was a two piece ruined building section.
Objectives:
There were two objectives in my deployment. One in the large ruins and also one in the jungle fortification. The next one was located in the fence section just ahead of the jungle fortification.
There was one objective that was by the large ruins in the DE deployment. There was on in the jungle to the left of the large ruins, and also one in the middle of the city wall section.
Deployment:
Spore Mines started with one in the city ruined, and one just outside of the large ruins, and then the final one just behind the jungle terrain on the DE deployment side.
I put my Tyrant up in the cover of the jungle fortification to protect him from turn 1 Dark Lance shots. the biovore was put in the corner by the rubble with a zoanthrope. With the zoanthrope was a squad of termagaunts. The rippers were in the middle of the big jungle piece with the objective. The 16 termagaunts started by the Tyrant holding the objective by the jungle fortification, along with the Hormagaunts just behind the Hive Tyrant.
The DE player started with a Ravager in the large city wall ruins, a Warrior squad holding an objective in the jungle, with a Raider full of warriors up ahead. Then his Reavers up past the city wall ruins just behind the Space Marine fortification.
My Genestealers then infiltrated into the large ruins in the back corner as he left it completely untouched and they took the back objective. (I think he forgot about them . )
Objective Values:
I had the large jungle objective worth 3 VP, the fortification worth 3 VP, and then the fence objective worth 1 VP. The Genestealers large ruin objective was worth 2 VP, and the city wall ruins terrain was worth 4 VP, and the last one in his jungle area was 2 VP.
DE had first turn but I attempted to steal initiative... and got it!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyranids Turn 1:
The hormagaunts moved towards the reavers into the middle of the field. The biovore moved to the edge of the board to get LoS at the reavers behind the fortification bunker. The gaunts by the zoanthrope and the biovore moved up to the side of the fortification as well. The Tyrant, and the gaunts by him remained still. The spore in the city walls moved onto the top of the objective, and the one in the large ruins moved over to the board edge. The last spore mine moved towards the back corner by the warriors in the jungle.
The hormagaunts ran toward the reavers, and the gaunts moved farther down the field. The biovore fired at the reavers but missed off of the board so no more mines were laid on the field.
Dark Eldar Turn 1:
The reavers moved out from behind the bunker into the middle of the open field. The warriors in the jungle tighted up into the jungle, and the ravager moved just outside of the spore mines range in the city ruins. The Raider by the jungle moved up beside the medium ruins just ahead of his jungle terrain in the back.
The reavers then bladebaned my zoanthrope in the back by my biovore. They easily killed him, with rolling something like 20 or so attacks! They landed just at the back board edge and then moved towards the biovore. The ravager fired at the Tyrant and he passed his cover save.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyranids Turn 2:
Big turn for the 'Nids here. Doom arrived from deep strike, and landed right in front of the raider on the DE side of the field. He was also in range of the warriors in the jungle for his life leech. The spore mine in the back corner by the genestealers moved off of the board. The spore mine by the objective moved and inch to the right of it. The back mine by the warriors in the jungle moved right into them! It killed 4 warriors, and made them fall back of all things! Doom now out of range for life leech. The gaunts passed their synapse check, and also did the biovore. The hormagaunts failed their synapse test, but they moved back towards the reavers. The Tyrant advanced up towards the fence in the middle of the field.
The biovore shot at the reavers right in front of him, and managed to kill one. The gaunts then fired and they made all their saves due to their better save from turbo boosting. The hormagaunts then ran towards the reavers area. Doom fired warp lance at the raider and exploded it to pieces, killing 3 warriors on board. The tyrant managed to kill 3 more and they failed their morale and fell back. This squad had the Archon. The Mycetic Spore fired at the Archon's squad, but missed and hit itself! Passed the armor save though thankfully.
The termagaunts then charged the Reavers to hold them up from bladevaning anyone next turn. The reavers killed two gaunts, and then the gaunts killed 2.
Dark Eldar Turn 2:
The Dark Eldar had the Venom arrive from deep strike, and the Raider in deep strike mishap'd but it went into ongoing reserves. The warriors by the jungle regrouped and moved back towards the objective. The Archon's group regrouped as well. The Ravager moved into position to fire at Doom.
The warriors and the Archon's warriors fired at Doom and missed as they could only fire snapshots. The ravager fired at the spore by the 4VP objective, and then fired at doom and made one shot, and which of course when it matters most...Doom failed his 3++ save lol...The venom and its passengers then completely wiped out the hormagaunts.
The Reavers managed to kill 3 more termagaunts, and they managed to take one more down. They then failed their morale test and were wiped out by the Reavers.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyranids Turn 3:
The other zoanthrope failed to arrive from reserve once again. The Tyrant retreated back towards the jungle fortification to get ready to eliminate the venom threat. The gaunts in the jungle fortification adjusted so they were all completely in cover. The biovore failed synapse of course.
The Tyrant fired at the venom and managed to destroy it with two pen hits. the Trueblood warriors were now on the field in the open. The mycetic spore fired at the Archons squad but failed to wound anyone.
Dark Eldar Turn 3:
The ravager moved out from the city walls in position to open fire on the tyrant. The warriors in the back jungle adjusted to fire at the genestealers through the ruins windows. The Archon moved up towards the middle of the field. The Raider arrived from reserve by the Genestealers in the back.
The Raider by the Genestealers opened fire with all the troops onboard, and also the Dark Lance. They managed to make 5 kills. The Trueblood fired at the Tyrant and made 2 wounds. The Dark Lance fired two shots at the Tyrant, and then made only one more wound. The last dark lance on the Ravager fired at the Genestealers and made another hit, but rolled a 1 to wound! The Reavers then tried to bladevane the Tyrant, but he made all of his saves. The Archons squad also managed to kill the spore from Doom last turn.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyranids Turn 4:
The Zoanthrope finally arrived from reserve and dropped down beside the tyrant blocking the LoS for the Ravager. The Genestealers moved towards the Raider in the back ruins. the Tyrant moved beside the spore.
The zoanthrope fired at the Ravager and got a Pen hit, but only lost his front main gun. The Tyrant used leech life on the true blood and made two wounds. He then fired and cleaned off the last of them. The Gaunts in the jungle fortification then fired at the Reavers and killed on, but they then failed morale and started to retreat.
The Genestealers then charged the raider. They did not loose anyone to overwatch from the warriors on board. They blew the raider up and killed 3 warriors. They then consolidated back into the objective.
Dark Eldar Turn 4:
The ravager moved forward to get in position to fire at the Zoanthrope and the biovore. The Archon moved into the city wall ruins. The Reaver failed morale again and continued to fall back.
The Ravager fired and killed the zoanthrope and biovore. The Warriors then killed the remaining Genestealers.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyranids Turn 5:
The gaunts moved towards the fence to capture the objective, while still holding the jungle objective which was behind them. The Tyrant moved to the left to get LoS at the reavers as they are worth 1 VP in this mission.
The Tyrant took down the Reaver to gain one more VP.
Dark Eldar Turn 5:
The Archon moved and captured the city wall objective as well.
The Ravager fired at the Tyrant but missed him.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Score:
Tyranids - 7 VP (3VP Objective, 3VP Objective, 1VP Objective, 1VP Reavers(Fast Attack))
Dark Eldar - 10 VP (4VP Objective, 2VP Objective, 2VP Objective, 1VP First Blood, 1VP Spore Mines(Fast Attack))
And we rolled for the next turn... Tyrant in perfect position to fire, and then easily make the charge at the Archon and his 4VP objective....and I roll... ONE.
And that is the game!
'Nids - 7VP
Dark Eldar - 10VP
------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a solid battle and we corrected a lot of rules we messed up in our first match the other day. It was back and forth the entire fight!
Any feedback is appreciated guys! I enjoy doing these write ups, even though I'm still new to the game, I hope these BatReps can at least provide a entertainment value until I improve some more!
