Any Paintballers out there?

What up fellas,

Anyone on here play speedball or any kind of paintball?

Aside from 40k, paintball is my pure passion. Been playing competitively for 6 years in Atlantic Canada myself.

I played a lot in high school. My buddy had a team so he would give us free stuff to go play

I used to play quite a bit, and then I stopped playing when I switched a to a pre-med emphasis in college. Well now that I'm out I want to get back into it, but I'm also rebuilding my 'Nids army, so priorities have to be considered; the hive comes first.

How is the paintball scene up in Canada? Down here in SoCal it seems to be dieing a little, or at least it does in my area.

The CXBL up here is dying off I find. They can't adapt to the way the sport is evolving. The league made an Atlantic division but it folded this season.

In Nova Scotia the speedballers are slowly dying off. I do what I can to promote the field and the sport, but I just hope it does not fall through.

But thankfully I'm all set for PB for this season, so all my extra cash is straight into getting my 'Nids army completed. My full army arrives Wednesday ;D!

Play in both Washington State and SoCal when im home from school - more of a woodsballer than a tournament guy myself

I played once as a senior class trip, 80 students, 1 battlefield. it was chaos.

I would love to play but i dont have the money to and there arent alot of places here to play. Airsoft is much more prevalent here with the pellets not leaving too many marks and it is easier to play in a more urban enviornment (just be sure to have the orange tips or you will have a high probablilty of getting shot, the police dont mess around here).

Woods/rec baller. Used to be into it big time...but since having kids my free time is pretty much non-existent. Wanna get back into it...but in upstate NY the options are limited. Wanna make time to go to PA for a big game...or possibly make it to Oklahoma D-Day at some point...1500 people playing for multiple objectives over a couple hundred acres sounds insanely awesome...

Yeah it is expensive. A few years ago I used to play every weekend. I honestly missed 4 weekends for the entire year! (there is a reball place up here for winter.)

But then I got married, got a house, and refound my love for 40K lol. I still play a bunch of ball though... just not what I used to.

I would love to tryout one of those scenario games too! What an experience that would be.

I play speedball every weekend I can spare, but I am finding that playing in the woods and scenario games are just as fun but for different reasons. With my kid arriving I am guessing less time for paintball and more time to 40k since I can do that at home.
