So will GW nerf us Nids with the FAQ?

I'm afraid Boneswords gets massively nerfed to AP3. We'll see. They're not 'power weapons' it just says they allow no armor saves, so we'll see if they errata that.

They're more like a weird version of a Force Weapon.
I'm more interested to see how Fearless and And They Shall Know No Fear have been changed.

The guys sitting with the rule book haven't been able to find any 'No Retreat' passage that says you take wounds from losing combat and being Fearless. That doesn't mean it's not there, but it sure sounds promising.
Fearless and ATSKNF most likely will ignore Fear. But that's just my guess.

It'll be interesting to see if they systematize the psychology rules again.

They aren't even force weapons. No psychic power needed. so unless they are specifically mentioned in the FAQ they still ignore all armor, and cause instant death. Happiness.

The wording says something like this: Power weapons and other weapons that deny armor saves are ap3. Still use any special wording for these weapons. My guess is it is ap3 for striking on vehicles since our swords states: Ignores armor and take ld test blah blah dead.

The wording says something like this: Power weapons and other weapons that deny armor saves are ap3. Except that the wording doesn't exactly say 'other weapons that deny armor saves are ap3'. Unless you have a quote from a guy with the book?

Sounds like a lot of doom n gloom for nids predicted by you guys. And I initially thought we were expecting good changes?

just don't make hormagaunts and raveners any worse, please GW. why do you torture some of your best looking models, why? no seriously they do: flyrant (no cover), mawloc, raveners, pyrovore, warriors, hormies, sanguinary guard, fire warriors, basilisks - i could go on....
following the new rage; rules i agree with some of the other peeps on here, forget trygons, can you imagine hormies with 4 attacks each on the charge with rage? then take these 80 attacks (standard unit of 20) and just get three glances and kaboom, no more boxes.

ravenors got a boost (beast = ignores terrain when moving/assaulting), and the obscured rules for vehicles (and if the logic from 5E holds true, MC's) went from 50% to 25%. it's not all doom. i still am waiting for my book and some time to digest it.

And ravenors are faster than ever. Even though they don't have fleet, they have movement speed of 12, and 2d6 REROLL for charge. Which actually makes them faster!

We also get fear. Not sure what that does though. Surely it should be cause fear but not sure. The 2 weapon at same target rule still takes place. Fear will probably mirror the Fantasy rule for fear. If in assault the opponent must pass a leadership test or be reduced to WS1 for the round.

Sorry folks, I let this go hoping it would stay on the (admittedly narrow) initial focus. But since it is now talking about rumors... it belongs in the rumor thread.
