everyone is expecting it because they put out fresh FAQ between editions last time. they haven't said they were going to. it'd sure as hell be nice, though.

I'm the same in not understanding all these negative attitutes about 'nids in 5th. I absolutely destroy with mine! Constantly accused of being OP or using unfair builds (There's nothing wrong with that many genestealers!). I think maybe a lot of you just kinda suck at gaming them (JOKE!!! Don't send the hate!) I can't wait to have a play test of the rules on saturday. Gonna nom me some chaos marines. Ah Defilers. My Fex's favourite snack.

If you played in the competitive or semi competitive arenas it would of been a different matter. In casual games nids are a lot of fun, but most casual armies aren't min maxed. So people make the mistake thinking an army is broken when, really, they just happen to be fighting a better built roster, regardless of codex. So... in other words your just better than every one at your LGS.

I've been trying to avoid the rumor mill but that is the buzz at the club.
I will not hold my breath for a good FaQ or erratta because the last one was not in our favor. That being said eventually it will come back to us because it always does. In the twenty years I've played GW is always very cyclic in rules and models. This Army is awesome today will be old news next year, whats the new shining object.
My two cents.

My thoughts on this is that we get no allies. The Tyranids were meant to be the great devourer! So what happened in the 5th edition codex? I think it was made more with 6th in mind and that we don't get to have any friends because we would just as munch their heads off without breaking stride towards their enemies. I believe Tyranids may just be going into a new era of being the ultimate destructive force in 40k, as they should. I mean, fluff wise, really the only way the universe will be safe from the Tyranids, is if all the races(chaos included here) were to band together to exterminate them. And I don't see that happening at all. So yeah, the new MC rules in the WD, to me, are a sign of the stupid that's about to hit our army... Stupid amazing.

I read a scan of the monstrous creature bit. Smash can be done against infantry but no reroll against infantry only tanks.
We also get hammer of wrath. No rules in the section saying about 50 % cover saves or anything like that. At least not the scan I have read anyway.
We also get fear. Not sure what that does though. Surely it should be cause fear but not sure.
The 2 weapon at same target rule still takes place.

No way they will let us keep rage as described. FAQ will adjust IB:feed to work as before. Otherwise no one will want synapse!

Sure they will. Synapse has always required a gap; you don't want Fearless Sv6 models getting their butts beat by anything.

^My thoughts also. Rage may give a nice extra attack, but we do not know yet how units without synapse will fare. Leadership value has always had an effect on combat resolutions, although the exact working has changed throughout the editions. If, for example, Raveners are almost auto-sweeped because of low leadership, you'd have to be "very" sure of a good outcome before you charge. Also, why is it that I see everybody go crazy about one extra attack on a Trygon? One extra attack on 30 Hormagaunts looks a lot more interesting.

Also, why is it that I see everybody go crazy about one extra attack on a Trygon? One extra attack on 30 Hormagaunts looks a lot more interesting. I've been saying this all along. If Rage is interesting at all, it's on huge units who gets exponentially better. Still it's random and thus not very interesting on a competitive level. You shouldn't include Hormagaunts in your army if they are (please do not swear) without Rage. And at this point they don't look good. Now, if Feed was errata'd for Nids to allow the model to shoot, it would be a huge buff. Podded Dakkafexes suddenly wouldn't had to be babysat at all. Fear = at the start of turn (or was it combat phase) all models in btb with a Fear unit must pass a Ld test or be reduced to WS1 and BS1 for a full turn. What I expect from the FAQ? A small buff to MC's, they get EW if in synapse. Other than that, I'm afraid to wish for anything. Someone at GW seem to get his @ss handed to him by nids on a regular basis and has made up his mind that they are OP. And as the main theme for 6th ed seem to be 'Hate the Assault' I'm afraid Boneswords gets massively nerfed to AP3. Doom gets boned to oblivion, his aura will be an activated psychic power that you can 'Deny The Witch' against on 4+. Mawloc, Pheromone Trail and Trygon hole remains as is, in other words not usable. I'll gladly be wrong, GW

Strange how they make grey knights the obviously overpowered army, necrons blood angels which are already really good even more powerful while they will nerf a nerfed army that needed help.
Its like leaving someone homeless out in the cold, and then proceed to dump ice water on him.
Pure good business sense when you can buy a handful of models to make a GK army but you have to buy tonnes of boxes of gants to make a tyranid army.
