I think they should make nightmare moon a playable character in this game. It's rumoured that she's going to be the big, bad final boss of the game but that hasn't been confirmed yet. |

Don't know where you got this from... Google Insights. Check if you don't believe me. This is General. Isn't the entire purpose of the board meant to be discussing recent and popular topics? And if you're complaining about it being too widespread, could you not say the same thing about plenty of other topics? When's the last time you went onto a forum and couldn't find a topic on anime? To be honest, Pony threads seem to be the only thing capable of kicking some life into General at the moment. I'm just happy to see this level of activity at all. The first time it was locked because of indecent images. The second time, as I understand, to prevent a repeat of the first. Even so, this wasn't an attempt on my part to just start another MLP thread for the sake of it. This thread is about the game shown in the OP and, while it has spiralled somewhat overnight, that's what it's intended for. And on that note, has anyone heard anything else about the game? Google trends says interest capped in 2006 and has gone down since then, with more downs than ups. If it is popular here, I haven't seen it both on and off the net. Not even sure if it airs down here yet. Anime is an entire umbrella animation style, and even then it usually restricts itself to it's own threads if it's not the focus of an entire forum. I'm yet to see the sort of widespread image macro JOIN THE HERD BRONY thread-jacking that has come out of this "My Little Pony" meme from an anime. I'm not complaining that it's "Too widespread", my beef is in that... it's in places it shouldn't be. Indecent images? Decapitation? What the hell? Oh, and just saying, I did watch the first episode because, (please do not swear), when a meme thrusts itself upon me as much as this one does I have to pay it some attention. I didn't like it, though that should be obvious. I'm not seeing the level of humour and characterisation that people love it for... I do see standard jokes and one-trick-pony personalities. @gman: I think Danger is just trolling again... Sorry for having an opinion that doesn't match your own. I must be a troll for it. Hell, I must have always been a troll for it. I do it all the time after all. Nothing I say has any weight, it's not real, it's just there to be mindlessly negative. I have no opinions. |

I'm more interested in seeing whether DJ P0n-3 makes an appearance. That and whether the CMC get their glam metal attire as playable skins. What I meant is that there are plenty of staple topics that you'll find on most forums on the web. Some temporary. Some permanent. Point taken on thread jacking. I can see how that can be particularly annoying and unfair and I'll be the first to admit I've been guilty of this in the past. It's something I've conciously decided to stop doing unless it actually stays somewhat along the theme of the OP. But to be honest the Hive isn't really that bad in this regard. There was a spurt of it a short while back amongst myself and a few others but that was before the meme really started to take off. None on the part of the Pony fans. Just saying. Well, to each their own. You don't like it and that's your opinion. I'm not going to try and fault you for it but at the same time I'm still going to have fun with the meme because, well, I enjoy it. I see it as a throwback to the golden age of 90's cartoons which I still watch and fully enjoy even nowadays. I'll curb the derailing aspect of the craze but, so long as it's doing no real harm, I might as well live it up while it lasts! It's only a bit of fun after all. I'm not trying to clash with you or write you off as a troll. We've both been on this forum long enough for me to know that's not the case. Hell, I hold you in account with more respect than I do most members here. The sheer amount of (please do not swear)'s did come off as a little hostile though and I imagine that's what may have prompted retaliation. Hopefully we can see this thread through without any grudges being held. It is only a My Little Pony fighting game thread after all. Not really a great reason for any of us to lose our cool over, right? |

Back on topic Am I the only one who imagine AJ as a variant of scorpion? That was the first thing that came to mind when I first saw the demo! Except with a variant of Scorpion's catchphrase in Southern drawl. "Y'all get over here lickety-split now, ya hear?" I'm wondering how Twilight will turn out. Technically, she's the most powerful pony in Equestria short of Celestia and Luna. She did banish an Ursa Minor after all. I'd imagine her magical powers will be downplayed somewhat in the game though. Otherwise she'd be way too overpowered. |

Um, just for the record, the definition of a troll is someone who actively stirs up arguments, raging and flaming for their own amusement. Technically Dangeresque never did that, though there were other trolls on the thread at the time. Just saying, I see the word Troll thrown around a lot, and a lot of people really apply it improperly. |

In most fighting games, the overpowered characters (in the original medium) get balanced out by having long wind up times and overly flashy animations.
Yeah, technically some characters should be able to wipe the floor with most of the rest of the cast put together (Marvel vs Capcom comes to mind) but in the game they just make lots of flash and noise as compared to actual effect.

I can't say I'm carazy Brony, but still I definitely liekd the show.
Forget what it's all about. Kids, ponies, rainbows, friendship, and such.
Look how marvellously it's done. Style. Drawing. Voices. Songs. References. G-ddamn everything.
People who made this really deserve to be proud.
The same goes for the fighting. All the same - drawings, attacks, "get over here!"s, OST that rocks and the most surpsisingly - they actually managed to find voices so similar to the original cast! Very good work indeed, in every way.
