Event:
The enemy approaches the camp, and your men prepare for a battle. A shout comes from the enemy, calling for you to surrender. You refuse. The first line of each team prepare their weapons. The enemy fires off first. Laser cannons of such power the reduce flesh to dust. The front line of ops are defeated without firing a shot. Your secondary line fires, barely putting a dent in their armour. You decide to focus your attacks on one and finally one goes down. The enemy are angered by thsi and fire again. Your ops duck for cover avoiding the beams. you decide to send in the autobots, hopefully they do more damage.
The autobots fly into the enemy ranks and begin their devastation. They manage to take down many of the enemy but are succumbing to their lasers. you see three go down after a few minutes. You feel there is nothing for it but to have all units open fire. The combined strenght of the weaponry is enough take many more of the enemy down, but ours are falling too. An hour of fighting rages by, and eventually the enemy are pushed into a retreat.
The death toll: Spec Ops: 35 Autobots: 5 Raptors: 10 Zealots: 25 Dragoons: 2 Dark Templar: 0
You hope that they will not attack again, and await for the return of the researchers and the reinforcements.

Ah fudge.
Well, I've learnt today that flak cannons are overated, and dragoons are deadly. I knew I should have brought a couple of goliaths.
Well, hopefully they will wait for reinforcments too, and we'll get ours, and possilby get out of there.
Just counting up, we currently have this many left:
Spec Ops: 65 Autobots: 7 Raptors: 40 Zealots: 75 Dragoons: 8 and 1 Dark Templar.

aye, that's correct.
TO ALL: If any changes are made to the layout of the thread (if it's given its own board in the games section for example), then the armies will stay the same, and you will retain all units, land, etc that you had before the change. I should also point out that at the minute name's site is curently under construction and is still preparing the game. it's worth a look and your input is accepted. If we can use his site to create a better game, all future editions of it may be shifted there rather than creating new threads every time we fancy a game. For now this game will continue in its current method. I'm still awaiting word from the moderator Pmed about the feasibility of creating aboard within this board and you will recieve word when i have it.
I would like to know your feelings about all issues raised here

I think you've mis-counted HFE, assuming the 15 reinforcements haven't gotten there yet, there were 15 aerialbots and a giant walker/shuttle leaving 10 and the shuttle, hopefully.

all reinforcements being declared as sent take one day to get there, so if they were declared after HFE's troop count for the event then they won't have got there yet.

Log:-Carter Been a while since my last update. Nothing much happening.
Research on blackaneum shows potential for radar tech, meaning we will be able to detect movement around the island. Also, we will be able to recieve messages sent on any frequency, except for those sent by other armies to other people. This will have to be post-poned until later.
I am looking at defence and have come up with a large cannon that is stationary, but has a large force. I have called it the minicannon. it should help.
other than that i need to build airports on my secondary bases.

Event: Day 5 Reinforcements have arrived from allies, and the enemy has sent their reinforcements too. After the last battle you managed to capture a wounded enemy from the battlefield. You interrogate him enough to find out that they are known as the "Maange" and that they did not start on this planet. Before you could find out anything else, it died due to the wounds recieved.
The researchers have arrived and are working on the door. Suddenly there is laser fire. The Maange have returned. A plan is hastely put together. The clone tropers agree to head the Maange off and the other armies stay closer to the meteorite to keep it secure shold the troopers fail.
A team of 300 clone troopers heads off in formation towards the enemy, opening fire. Their weapons are more effective, and they manage to take down a few lines of enemy troops. THen they begin to take fire themselves and fall just as easily. The left flank is composed of flame troopers and delta troopers, which work close range to flame the enemy. A few go down before they get there, but the flames cause great effect when they do.
Along the right flank are the sith troopers and the mighty racnor. The racnor charges into the enemy flanks, causing devastation.
The Ghosts fly into the enemy, mowing many of them down. However, this causes a few casualties on our side too, as the ghosts are taken down before they can do anything.
Above the battlefield flies the Venerator, which is firing all five cannons caussing mass devastation.
The autobots decide the time is right to send in their exo-suits. These help the cause. All armies send in everything they think necessary, but keep much of it behind.
Finally, after a few hours, a call comes from the door of the ship. it is open. The front lines begin to retreat to the meteorite. Eventually 5 of each unit type (except vehcles and autobots, they're too big) are in the ship, the others are outside, but the researchers pul something else out of the bag. After a few punches of a control panel a shield goes up around the meteorite, protecting both the ship and your allies around it. The Maange turn around and leave in their disgust.
Final battle casualties: 100 clone troopers 10 stormtroopers 15 flame troopers 10 delta troopers 5 ghosts 2 autobots
Now all is left to explore the ship. The pwoer seems down, maybe it's worth getting to the control room to turn it on. or maybe its the generator that needs a look-see to get it working again. Where do you go?

Hey Enigma, you owe me well, a bit... Alright! Running people over, flaming alien species, firing away and taking names....well...Maange in this case. Goldeneye, in this case...since the Maange retreated can I still hunt some down and take prisoners for further questioning and analysis? I can send 100 Stealth Troopers to capture a group of these aliens... I agree, Delta Blitz and his men are eager to see the Control Room... Let's hope there's no Booby Traps...or Facehuggers in tanks.

How this works is if you do not have a "Home land" on the map yet, PM me on which one you would like, or feel free to quote this post and try to describe the piece of land you would like. If more than one person wants the same land, it will be decided on which member Pmed me first. For Example, if HFE and Name want the same land, and Name Pmed me at 5:00, while Enigma at 8:00, Name gets dibs on the land. However, if two people Pm me in the same 2 hours (5:00-7:00) or (1:00-3:00) I will perform a TIebreaker. For now...Blitz and a few other Deltas have accompanied the other races into the ship for inspection...first, the Control-Room... Also, work on the LA-AT is done and we have three new aerial transports... I am still pondering of pursuing the Maange with Stealth Troopers to capture a few of their species for further interrogation..I shall not abuse this species...I only wonder what made them so hostile...and why are they here...
To the Arbiter: ************************************************************************** Good news..we have scared off the Maange and gained control over the Ship..I am on my way there and I ask if you wish to accompany me with your guards to actually see the Battle-Grounds and the fallen Alien-Ship. My men still stand ready if more Maange decide to visit...Work on the Targetmaster is proceeding..and it seems that this project is very possible if we tweak my cloning technology...

that's some nice work there facade. if that's what we come to use, any chance you can prepare an ink version, complete with everyone's chosen land, just to make it a little clearer? Then I'll post it on the rules section for all to see.
ANNOUNCEMENT: A NEW WAR MOD. Since the beginning of this game i have been the only war mod (unseeon one did apply but he seems to have disappeared). After searching for an assistant, Name has graciously accepted. He has been chosen due to his eagerness to advance and promote the game, and I'm sure he will make a good mod. I believe we still have room for one more war mod, and i am in the process of asking them now. Remember, war mods can be broken as well as made, so just cause you are a war mod doesn't make you all powerful. Make a biased decision and you'll have us all to answer to.
