Landing thrusters screamed as the massive landing craft touched down on the sturdy concrete of the landing facility. The facility was the largest in close proximity to the major city of Collatia. It had been built with the intention of bringing adequate supplies to the massive body of citizens, Tau and Human alike, who lived in the city. As such, it would give a distinct advantage to whoever controlled it..
As the landing craft settled down on the largest of the facility's fourteen landing pads, a small delegation made their way towards the unidentified ship. The craft had made no response when contacted, but had followed the tower's instructions for landing. Naturally, the delegation was on guard. It consisted of roughly fifty men, all wearing light flak vests in a dark blue colour, and carrying standard issue lasguns and automatic slug weapons. Behind them rumbled two lightly armoured APC's, following the marching men at a leizurely pace as they made their way towards the athmospheric landing craft.
There was a loud clang as the loading door suddenly slammed into the concrete, startling the advancing party to a sudden halt. At first everything was silent, then a small group of soldiers came jogging out, making their way directly towards the waiting men. The small group were all armoured in heavy carapace armour and carried a more powerful version of the lasweapons the PDF soldiers had. The group advanced in silence, stopping a few metres short of the delegation facing them. The leader of the larger group cleared his throat soundly.
"Please state your identification and mission here." he said. No answer. The leader of the Grenadiers watched him in silence from behind the orange visor of his helmet, measuring the large group of men that stood in front of his squad. They were all lightly armoured, typical of PDF soldiers, but all of them were also wearing shoulder pads that were certainly of Tau origin. The veteran soldier bared his teeth. Traitors.
"Please state your reason for landing here unannounced." the PDF sergeant tried again, irritation making itself heard in his voice.
"Xenolovers." The leader of the Grenadiers stated simply, contempt dripping from his voice. The PDF sergeant stopped, eyes widening in surprise. "What-" was all he managed to say, before the Grenadiers opened fire. Their hellguns flashed blood red, taking the lightly armoured soldiers by surprise, cutting them down where they stood. A few tried to make a break for the supporting APCs, but one of the vehicles exploded in spectacular fashion, as a pair of Leman Russ battle tanks rumbled out from the landing craft, their weapon mounts spitting death and destruction. The other APC exploded a second later, as a battlecannon shell punched through the driver's compartment. As more Grenadiers charged forth from the landing craft to join the fray, the leader of the first group stood calmly in the center of the carnage. He watched idly as the large control tower exploded violently from a ordnance shell from one of the tanks. As the Grenadiers began slaughtering the few PDF-forces and maintenance crews who tried to resist, he pressed the thumbbead of his vox. "Commander-Colonel Ibexos, sir, this is Corporal Janson." the man said, as he walked up to where the PDF sergeant had fallen, glazed dead eyes looking up at the sky. "The airfield has been secured. Tell High Command that the invasion can begin."

One of the Grey knights, that the inquisitor had failed to meet (so failed to convert yet) approched the tall man, as he stood, upon a hill sevaying the city.He took off his helmet befor telling the inqusitor to hail the Empror "My lord, the Xenos are taking longer than expercted to fall. The Populus, is using technogy stolen from the Tau, Sir, and we can only make it so far, befor a defencive implace ment stops us. How shall we poroceed" "When did all the solders lose their brains?"Said the Grand inqusitor, staring out over the blakend city that lay below "My lord I-" "The question was retorical you idiot" The man in the grey armour was taken aback, by the insult. Suddenly the man was grabbed by his face, and Calsect spoke some words, befor the man screemed in pain as his flesh was burnt "I make this offering to you my Dark prince" The man exploeded and was replaced by a smiling woman, She was the very essentec of beauty. The demonet placed the helment upon here head, and said in a suductive vioce. "The Dark price has sent me to aid you. He is not pleased at how long this is taking. Go into the fight yourseves, convert your men, and use your power, to take this planets aretifacts, and its souls!" Calsect Frowned. It was becoming a habbit nowadays "Do not assume you controle me little deamon. Know this: I will heed My lords words but none others" and with that he tossed the grey clad demon down the hill yelling his instuctions at her "You convernt my men, i will deal with the implacement."

Farseer Suei'croiuth had entrusted this vital mission to his most trusted among his seer council, Brentu Nitori Seer of Craftworld Lugganath.
The Eldar wraith ship skimmed from forth the webway near the tau sept of Dal'Yth. This tau world, most known for its water cast and acceptance of aliens, was the obvious choice of interaction. As it approached sensor range, it put its holo- field generator on full and skimmed to within 2,300,056,400 kilometers of the nearest ship. Reaching out with his mind, he searched for an etherial of a prominent open mindedness... ____________________________________________________________
"We will construct the landing pads hear, hear, and... hear. That will consolidate the area into one single focal point." Stated the Etherial, ending the matter. "Now on to the next order of business, the the inter planetary defense grid, destabilized in the last ork raid."
"My fellow earth cast are in the proses of fixing the matter." Said Ther'mun, the leader of the earth cast in this sector.
"Good, now Gull'fau what have you and your water cast to say about the human world known to them as Vernius Prime?" Inquired the Etherial.
"Negotiations went well, they have not been in contact with their kin for many centuries now. We are due to engage in further negotiations in 4.5 of their months." Answered the old water cast elder in his chair, wrinkles clearly distinguished on his face.
"They will see the wisdom of The Greater Good with out much confli-" The etherial stopped in mid sentence.
"Aun'kor? Etherial Aun'kor is everything alright?" Ther'mun voiced his concern.
The Etherial merely stared at the wall. ___________________________________________________________
"Who are you to attempt to enter my mind?" the etherial inquired calmly.
"I apologize for the intrusion, but this matter requires attention immediately and my wraith vessel would not have made it to your planet unchecked. I am called Brentu Nitori, Seer of Craftworld Lugganath."
"Ah... an eldar... we have not had much contact with members of your race. What matter has brought you to my sept?"
"The human planet you have recently made contact with-"
"Surely you do not claim rights to it, we know your species did not occupy this part of the galaxy." The Etherial stated sounding irritated.
"Yes and no. it was not our people who occupied the planet long ago," Brentu chose his word carefully, "a race known to our storytellers as the Old Ones had an ancient outpost there. It is rumored that they used it in their battle against the necrontyr."
"The Necront-"
"You know them as the Necrons," Brentu did not agree with telling this Etherial what he knew, yet his farseer had commanded it. "but we are off topic. The planet is being assailed by a battalion of humans fighting in the name of their corpse god."
"And after they finish there they will turn into Tau occupied space," The Etherial understood, "but I do not believe you are helping us without motive.
"My reasons are my own, but it seems we share a common enemy." Brentu smiled, his Farseer's vision was coming true after all, of course, why had he doubted it.
"So it seems..." The Etherial took a moment to think, "You may claim what you seek as long as you leave, and never return to the planet afterwords." He knew there was more to this then he was being told, yet he would have to be patient.
"I must be off, I hope you will make the wise decision." Brentu said as he telepathic connection with the Etherial ____________________________________________________________ The Etherial blinked and found himself lying down on a medica bed. He rose with looks of concern from his fellow Tau. His mental barrier had worked, he was able to prevent the seer from penetrating into his mind completely, and only allowed him to establish a mental communication, this would be reported to the Etherials of T'au, and defences against such psycic tampering would be reaserched. Yet there were more pressing matters now.
He made his decision, for the grater good of the empire, "Send a hail to Septs Ksi'M'Yen and Sa'Cea... We go to war." ____________________________________________________________ The Eldar wraith ship re-entered the webway and vanished.

OOC: I'd like to point out that Tau are utterly ignorant of the warp so are unable to be telepathic. In another note, I play inquistor, so I am using my charaters from that (mainly)
After the first bought of harrying, Ravener and the others moved back to a few nearby caves to plot and plan while awaiting support. While waiting bootsteps could be heard stomping towards the outer barrier, rousing the small group. The scout had heard voices and had moved in to take a look, but he had stepped to heavily. Pulling heis 'vox, he thumbed it on, "Scout Redrick here. I have a need for support at this location." The shot rang out...letting the body clatter to the ground...the small group moved out.

The platoon was butchering a group of panicking civilians, cutting them down with lasguns and bayonets. Marnak screamed without words as he thrust his bayonet into the chest of a crying boy, wrenched it free and continued the slaughter, firing, stabbing, killing. Blood drenched the street.
Within moments the platoon had killed the civilians, around fifty men, women and children. Marnak felt his heart pounding as the rage within him slowly calmed. They had not encountered much resistance as they entered the city, and all they had to do was to corner the fleeing citizens and kill them. They had not taken a casualty for three days.

OOC: in wharhammer 40k back story, psykers have been known to communicate with non-psychic individuals. the conversation is held in the recipients mind, yet some characters with strong minds like inquisitors and etherials have been known to defend against the intrusion. I am getting my information from multiple works published by Games Workshop.
And are you really against moving the plot along? so far all thats happened is that the humans have been mascaraing the citizens Vernius Prime without the slightest hint of retaliation...

Ethreal Ji'Tais jolted forwards a bit as his ship slowed from lightspeed. The humans had so far been butchering the populace and now was the time to halt it...
"All ships" the ethereal said over the comm " begin the liberation of Vernius Prime.
On radar he watched as numerous blips began to diverge from the fleet. On the other side of the planet another goup of tau ships slowled and began to deploy. In red the imperial ships, all clustered around the planet began to react... But not fast enough.
All about small explosions appeared as the first wave of Tau ship opened fire...
"Go warriors! Go forwards in the name of The Greater Good! Cleanse the planet of the dirty imperial scum!"

Captain Jack looked onwards into the distance as an Imperial Titan errupted into flames, Tau Mata Ray Gunships, 3 of them flew in formation above the now wrecked war machine. "This is fleet Commander Aun'el'sherez, calling for allied ground forces, I repeat this is fleet Commander Aun'el'sherez, calling for allied ground forces, anybody respond" came a voice over the Captain's vox, "This is Captain Jack Alexander, reading you loud and clear." replied the Captain. "Captain, the Orks are moving from the southern forests they will be 600 clicks west of your position, they will meet the Imperial Forces in great numbers. We have secured the North Pole evacuate your people to the city Alantica, it will be safe there. We will deal with the orbital battle, we are sending Hunter Cadres to every major city, fall back to them! Sensors indicate a crack in the eastern side of the planet, we will be keeping tabs on it. Good luck Commander, over and out." replied the Tau Commander. Jack lead his marines to the east.

"It is time brothers, sisters, we will find and claim this ancient artifact in the name of Craftworld Lugganath! We will sow death and disruption through their ranks!" Then he said in a solom voice, "We MUST not fail."
Farseer Suei'croiuth had been busy. his kill team had already captured three soldiers and one monk from a temple on the edge of the forest. With some effort Suei'croiuth was able to glean enough information out of the captive's minds to find out that they worshiped a being known as the Dragon, and ancient tablets, studied by the monk, rumored its layer to be beneath what is now known as the city of Atlantica.
"Exarch Angiel, have your Warp Spiders heard as much defenders as possible to the city of Atlantica."
"Exarch, Lieithiae, and Commander Druve'gata, have you Shining Spears and Jet bike squadrons raid the enemy supply convoys."
"Exarch Jalithian, have your Dire Avengers guard the convoys of human defenders, and utterly annialate the encampments of the human invaders. Take no prisoners."
"As for you, Harlequin, accompany these rangers and Seer Brentu Nitori into the forest region. Sow doubt and mistrust in the minds of the Ork Chieftains. Keep them from mobilizing for as long as possible. When you can do no more, report back to me as I have another important task for you to compleate."
"And what of you Farseer?" Inquired the Harlequin.
"I will accompany three regiments of guardians to Atlantica and prepare for a defense while I search for the artifact."

As the inqusitor set his eye upon the turret , he face, brightened. A dule-barrled rail cannon sat upon a simple turret. He reached out with his new found powers, into the weak minds of the gunners. His grim smile widend as he saw the turret swing round and start to destroy the other smaller gun emplace ments. "Must i do everything?" he rored, with glee, at the faces of his stunned troops. He then saw the demonet, hand oout streched on the hill, and herd her words "Your minds are weak, and are mine!" The terminator stood up stragth, and obayted there new master. "Go my brethrin! find the artifact, our master wants!" commanded the inqusitor.

Captain Jack fired his duel round semi automatic in to the unit's pursuers, as he ran as fast as he could over the grassy hill. The air caught his lungs, a icy cold chill sent shiver down his spine, as the unit of Space Wolves behind him carved through his regiment. Red blood arced into the air, their pursers laughing as they carved down man after man. Alantica was just a few miles away, as he reached the top of the hill he saw his fellow Captain's and their units in similar situations, Fire Warrior and Crisis Battle Suit Teams opened up fire upon the chasing Space Marines and Imperial Guard, sending them back, rolling down the green pastures to their graves. But there was no Tau relief at the top of his hill. A Space Wolf had fought his way to Jack, he growled raising his mighty Axe into the air, a smirk across his hairy, chiseled face. As he brought down the blade, the sound of whirling blades caught Jack's attention, and when he turned to see the tall Warrior again his entire body was cut to pieces, shrunkens covered his face and amour, rich red blood pouring out of every cut, as he stumbled backwards and fell to the ground. Jack turned to see a unit of Eldar Guardians, their bright red amour gleaming in the bright sunlight. The Warlock, who wore a long shining purple robe uttered in a siren voice that seemed to carry purpose with it, "Go human! Towards the mountain!" and with that Jack found himself compelled to follow the aliens command, as he and his unit fell back in to the snow covered peaks of the the Twin Blade Mountains, there he saw Eldar, Tau and his people's own flying vehicles lifting troops to Alantica. "Come men!", he bellowed, "If we make it there we will reach our safety!" And with renewed vigor the men burst forwards towards the mountains.
