Hi gang hoping to start another epic Role Play, this time feel free to hop in and join the situation, as and when. Please read back story, to gage where we are at.
_______________________________________________________
On the peaceful planet of Vernius Prime, set in the Eastern rim, the citizens of this human planet went about their busy lives in the great metropolis cities, who's white, smooth buildings blended with the trees, who's branches coiled around the white monoliths. The streets surrounded by green parks, which were filled with people, strolling in the warm sunlight. In the sky above vehicles glided from one build to another, never crossing invisible walls, which allowed those below to see the bright blue sky, not a cloud insight. The prefect world where mankind mingled with nature. Lt Sanders walked down the street, wearing his dark green navy uniform, after finishing a high security meeting in which the world wide government had met with a new Alien race called the Tau. The talks between the Ethereal O'Shavas and the World Minister Lincon Donahum had gone well, not that the lieutenant had expected the Aliens to be hostile, he had figured those that promote a "greater good" were not the type of people to enter conflict lightly. Looking up at the sky, feeling it's warm rays, he thought about his planets origins. His people had always questioned their existence, why they were here and when the Alien race had landed on their planet, there was, of course, worries and the military had been called in, the brief encounter they had had was not only short but very one sided, with the Tau dominating them with their far superior technology. In hindsight, he questioned his superiors decisions about open conflict with the Alien "threat", but as the treaty had been signed it promised a new era, and a huge jump in technology. Soon the standard .45 caliber metal slug round guns would be replaced with the Tau's Pulse Rifle technology. This would aid in the fight against the Ork bandits that claimed most of the southern planet, in the dense jungle their firepower counted for naught and defenses against the Ork threat were crying out for someway to beat the Orks at their own game. The Tau had had trouble with the Orks in their own past and the introduction of their weaponry would certainly be an aid. As Lt Sanders reached the Military Shuttle Bay building, the ground shook, the Lt turned to see a large triangular shaped blue pod, that had crashed into the park surrounding Station Square. The pod began to unfold, steam erupting from the opening in the arms, people gathered nearby, to look. Soldiers poured from behind the Lt, rushing into position, the Lt stood in shock. As the arms of the pod made contact with the ground tall figures, garbed in blue armour, disguised by helmets emerged from the smoke. Each carrying a gun as large as the Lt arm, one stepped forward announcing, "Heretic scum, contact with Alien races is against the will of the emperor!", the Lt armed himself with his new Pulse Rifle, the yellow weapon feeling smooth in his sweaty palms. "Your planet must be purged, for you have been lost from the emperors guiding light for too long!" continued the Space Marine, stepping forward. The Lt heard a trooper scream, "Freeze!", but it was too late the Space Marines opened fire, the Lt watching horror as the Space Marine fire smashed into the Kevlar armour of the troopers, exploding on impact, hitting the trooper in the chest, sending torn off pieces of Kevlar, flesh and blood into the air, the trooper blown backwards. The troopers returned fire, their bluets mearly bouncing off, the seemingly impenetrable armour of the invaders. The Lt began to open fire, as more drop pods fell from the sky, darking it like a rain storm. The blue bursts of energy fired from the Lt's Carbine smashed into the closes Space Marines helmet, causing it to melt, thick blue liquid dripping from the impact. The Marine, removed his helmet, threw it to the ground, as the Lt looked on in disbelief. The screams of civilians and soldiers alike filled the air, as deep red blood filled the paved streets. The Marine took aim and fired his bolter at the Lt, the explosion causing smoke to erupt from the barrel as the bullet sped towards Sanders, as it made impact the last thing the Lt saw was a hellstrom of fire erupt in his face, he smelt the burning of his flesh, the pain excruciating, then all went black...

Princep Jules grinned as initial reports on the invasion of Vernius Prime flooded into the briefing room. Beside around him the holograms of other imperial comanders all gazed at a large sphere of the planet itself. Small chatter passed between the people in the group as they discussed tactics.
"Princep, are your forces ready? We require your deployment in sector V-6. Imperial forces have secured the location." a large man with the mark of the inquisition upon his armor.
"Yes my lord, The Augutus, Verinatus, and Archonia are ready for deployment."
"Excelent. Your ships Provost has been noticfied." at that exact moment Jules lurched as the ship began its fall into the planets atmosphere. Getting up and leaving the room Jules was soon flanked by his pair of Moderati and his Titans tech priest...
"WE go to war then?" the techpriest ask in a slow drawl. The group stopped as they reached the ships hangar. Jules took a moment and gazed at the massive Reaver Titan its gatling Blaster and Volcano Cannon glowing softly. Mounted uopon its carapace a pair of servitors finished the repairs on the Titans Turbo laser. Beside it, etched in big bold leters, its name, Archonia, could be read.
"Yes, to war we go." Jules replied. In the distance he spottted the other two princeps as they strode with thier crew towards thier respective Warhound Titans. The titan strike force was ready.

The iron deck plating of the Darajia's Fist's loading bay shook with the repeat of 8,000 pairs of boots as every platoon of the Darajian 114th Combat Sappers Regiment reported in. The large Victory-Class Cruiser held the full Guard regiment, along with their large mix of assorted vehicles, artillery and entrenching equipment. Around the ranks of dark blue uniforms and steel-coloured flak vests, armoured vehicles rumbled into the landing shuttles. The noise of thousands of men and more than a hundred and eighty vehicles and artillery pieces filled the hangar with an awful ruckus.
Commander-Colonel Alexander Ibexos stood on the gantry, surveying the chaos with a slight smile. He had witnessed this scene a hundred times before. He enjoyed it. The preparation for battle was a sight he never tired of seeing, even with the trepidations of the upcoming battle. The Darajian Combat Sappers had been called in for a special reason. The High Commander of the invasion needed someone who could put up defenses and secure ground as the invasion moved forward, and for that task there were none better than the Darajians.
Ibexos was surrounded by his advisors and bodyguard, forming a fairly large retinue for a guard commander. Firstly, there was his trusted second-in-command, Commissar Drahk, a quiet and sullen man, but with a focus like sharp steel and a glare that could make an Ogryn wet himself with fright. Then there was Kushiuk, Ibexos' personal Psyker, an odd fellow with a slightly shizophrenic condition, who always mumbled to himself about yesterday's lunch. Ibexos had lost count of the times he had been forced to stall the glum Commissar from shooting the mentally unstable Psyker. Finally, there was a group of 9 guardsmen, all veterans from a dozen campaigns. Sergeant Vladek carried the Regimental Banner high and proud, even in the cramped compartments of the gantry. Next to him, stood the command squad's medic and master voxer, along with a group of six specialist veterans. It was a mighty display of skill and firepower, and they were all under Ibexos' direct command.
There was a staccato of running boots, and a three officers came running up the metal stairs to the gantry, a liutenant with two sergeants in tow. All three saluted hurriedly, before the Liutenant spoke: "Colonel-Commader Ibexos, all platoons have reported in, and most vehicles are ready for the drop. We are waiting for your order." Ibexos smiled, and nodded. "Commence the drop, Liuetenant. In the name of the Emperor."

*Its off to war we gooooo....*
Zzapper twisted, pulling behind the wall. He had left a trail of dead armoured bodies behind him. With a grunt he dragged the assault cannon back around the corner and fired it again draining the unit. He dove again as the bolter fire shredded the edge of the building. Zzapper sprinted away, towards his meeting point with his parteners. Alan and George. Alan carefully lined up shots removing one marine after another with precise headshots. He didn't turn as footsteps ran up behind him and the firgure took up the sniper rifle. "George is in place and the marines are coming." Zzapper reported. Alan nodded and continued to fire shots into the the battle. A gunship flew over the battle loosing ruby lances into the scorched buildings. As it circled closer, a trio of heavy las cannons fired into the bottom of the gunship. A few seconds later, a rail gun punched through the weakened bottom armour, sending it spiraling down. Ravener strode up with a dreadnought, the ground shaking with Alan's footsteps. Ravener rested his hand on his swords, "the Tau tech worked well, although George said it needs a little adjustment." The dreadnought shifted spinning his tripled barrled Las Cannon while leveling his new rail rifle. "Before this legion was shattered, we would be the ones cleansing this planet. Now It seems the Emporer is too narrow minded."

Grand Inquisitor Calsect scowled at the report that he had received, and called upon the ships inter-com "This is your captain speaking! Some one fetch me a link to the Imperial navies high command! This is our planet to cleanse, and the Heavy handed Space Marine, will destroy presuour evidence in the ongoing trail of several major Heretics." he thought for a monument then spoke once more into the head implant "On second thoughts don't send the message. All units prepare for an Early launch, the Heretics must be cleanses. The artifacts must not be broken. Strike down all who stand in your path, may it be Heretic, Xeno, or Space marine".
He cut the channle and smilled a thin smile. "you have done well my child" said a silky smooth viose in his head "i will grant you pleasur like you have never experinceed. Now go onto the planet my child, and recove the artifcats as i have instructed." "Yes master" wispered the Grand Inquitor as he headed for the drop pod bay.

The world was spinning, Sergent Johnson couldn't open his eyes, but he felt a nauseating spinning sensation that just wouldn't stop. A throbbing pain in his forehead was the cause, as he felt himself being dragged by two large figures, their cold bulking armour causing his arms to ache as his bear flesh pressed against it. The sounds of the battle roaring just a few miles away. He was thrown to the ground, the sudden lunge causing his to fall on his knees painfully, they were bruised, this he could tell from the pain. Sergent Johnson opened his eyes, the vision blurry at first, but gradually it came in to perspective. He found himself in a building on a cold stone floor, the walls had the banners, once gold and red, depicting a lion, torn down, ripped. Outside the windows dust gathers, as strange flying devices zoomed through the air. He then felt a sharp pain in his face, as someone kicked him, blood began to pour down his face, its irony taste causing Johnson to choke it back out. "...ordered by me you will speak heritic!" said a figure standing above him, as the sergents hearing returned he glanced up at the man. He was a tall, dark tanned man, with blond hair which flowed down to his shoulders, his chiseled face only blemished by a scar that ran from the left eyebrow to the right cheek. His robe was that of a magnificent red and green, he held a staff with a gold two headed eagle at the top and wore tick black boots, stained with the Sergent's blood. "What year is it?" said the Inquisitor, to which the Sergent could only mutter a confused, "Whu?" In return the Inquisitor kicked the Sergent again, sending him back to the ground. "Commander Harken, I have little time for the stupid! Couldn't you bring me someone with a brain?" barked the Inquisitor, one of the Space Marines at his side, clearly named Harken replied, "I thought capturing the highest ranked troop there would suffice... my lord." The Marine spoke through gritted teeth, clearly unhappy taking orders from the much smaller man. "Fine... Shoot him and bring me another..." said the Inquisitor, which at this point the Sergent got to his knees and pleaded, "No! Please what do you need to know?" "Good, he's not retarded after all." aid the Inquisitor, a smirk crossing his face, "Now what year is it?", the Sergent looked bewildered at the Inquisitor, and sheepishly replied, "6008." The Inquisitor hit the Sergent, sending blood trailing out of his mouth, splatting against the cold stone surface. "Heretic, it is the year 2424 of the 41st Millennium! These heretics have been lost for 6008 years?!" "We are no heretics, we believe in the Dragon, just as much as anyone else!" pleaded the Sergent. Once again the Inquisitor hit the Sergent, "The Dragon? The only one true lord is the Emperor!" and with that the Inquisitor fired a bullet into the sergents head, the bullet fired right through sending blood and bits for grew brain matter out the back of the Sergent's head. "Find out what this Dragon is! And dispose of this." said the Inquisitor walking away, as two Guardsmen lifted the body and began to drag it away.

Marnak vainly tried to get some sleep over the distant sound of bombardment. He had been fighting human Tau collaborators for eighteen hours straight, and now the platoon had eventually stopped in a ruined farmstead. For some reason the Grand Inquisitor had ordered an early invasion, and Marnak had barely had time to gather his equipment before the sergeant had told them to "get on the dropship, you fragging planks". Eventually Marnak fell asleep, and the long day repeated itself in his dreams, with scenes of war and slaughter.

In the dark, forgotten depths of the planets southern forest region, in a shadowy hidden swamp, mist swirling in delicate wisps, in a cave with its entrance almost impossible to find, shadowed under a rocky outcropping, a device, inactive for millienia flared to life. Wavering light flowed from it as a shadow of a figure became distinguishable in its depths. as the figure moved on it became more and more distinguished. finally the farseer reached the end of the tunnel, and steeped out of the webway portal.
Scanning the interior of the cavern he ordered his bonesingers, that had just emerged from the wavering light, to start construction of the necessary constructs.
The Harlequin strode up beside him. "I require the surrounding area secured."said the farseer, more of a statement then a command. "A simple enough task." replied the the Harlequin, betraying no emotion through her grotesque mask.
The farseer turned to his strike team emerging from the gate. "We must be swift to act if we wish to recover the device." he said with earnest, "Perhaps the inhabitance of this planet may be of some use. They must have SOME mention of an artifact as grate as the one we seek in their mythology somewhere."
The construction of the shroud complete, the nearly imperceptible blip at the most extreme edges of the Imperial Outpost's Vox Scanners became little more them a unseen memory.

Marnak awoke by the sound of an explosion that shook the ground. He hurriedly grabbed his lasgun and stumbled to his feet. Around him was chaos, troopers running every direction, sergeants shouting orders, vox operators trying to make their voices heard over the sound of explosions ripping through the farmstead. Marnak rushed for the exit, which was crowded with soldiers all desperately trying to get out. A shell exploded just outside, killing those closest to the door and tossing the rest backward. Marnak crawled back toward the door, go to his feet and started running.
Eventually the shelling stopped. They had regrouped in a nearby forest. Of the thirty-five strong platoon only fourteen were left. By the horizon, Marnak could see something that looked like a Basilisk trundling away. The lieutenant, Gorloq, coughed and said: "Soldiers, new orders have been received. We are to proceed to Collatia, a minor city, and help liberate it from the traitorous oppressors. Get your combat kit ready, we're moving out in five minutes."

"Void shields?" Jules asked the moderati in front of him...
"All power up my lord. We are ready"
"Good." Turning away Jules activates his Vox...
" All forces, status report.." A couple seconds passed then
" This is the Augutus... All wepons primed and shields up... Ready..."
" Verinatus here, SHields are charged.. Open the hatch already!"
Chuckling at the other princeps impatience Jules nodded at the Moderatiis inquisitive look... A moment later the Hatch in front of them opens reveling... Chaos..
"All forces begin attack. Right now I want to see you two using your Vulcans, no plasma yet until I get some updated field Intel" Ahead he watched as the warhounds powered up thier Mega Bolters onto any visible heritics... Jules directs the titans own gatling blaster at a large group of enemy soldiers in the distance fighting what seemed to be a squad of marines..
Chaging frquencies on his vox Jules then said " This is the Archonia to any space marines engaged location VX 125. Take cover boys..." With that the gatling blaster opened up. Its fire pouring into the enemy troops.. Jules chuckled as thier bodies were thrown about like toys. The space marines, heading his advice were nowhere to be seen... Changing frequencies again Jukles then locked into the main battle frequence.
"This is the Reaver Titan Archonia... Requeting all updated intel on commander, superheavy and important locations in our area. Also requsting that any intel sent is labeled at either destroyable or not..."

As soon as the Inquisitors shoes left the landing-way of his shuttle, a terminator spoke to him "My lord, the Heretic Marines are using a Titan. How should we proceed?" A frown darken Calsect face for a second before the smooth voice whispered an answer. The Inquisitor reached into his robes, and brought out a brown orb "simple depress the button, then throw it at them." The Armour clad solder turned to leave when once again word formed in Calsect's brain. "But before you go...come and touch my sword. I want your opinon on its balance." He brought out a ceremonial sword, that had, if you looked closely enough, a pinkish glow to it. The terminator took the hilt offered to him.His ,ind was swamped with promises, and seeing as he was so unprepared, he folded to his new masters will immediately. "Its is a fitting sword master" and Calsect knew the ploy had worked. I have been waiting you for a while now brother. I think you are ready for a taste of command. Do as your master commands, and you will gain power. The two of them, and the Inquisitor retinue, looked up as they heard the sound of footsteps. As the small unit of scout rounded the corner, they saw the group, and instantly saluted. "Sir we did-" "kill the heretics" screeched Calsect "My lord we a-" the scout was interrupted by the sound of an assault cannon. "cleanse this whole planet yelled the Inquisitor"they are all impure" The irony of the situation escaped neither him, nor the terminator, nor his disused demonic retinue.

As the engagement escalated the PDF were hard pressed to conserve the new technology gained fron the Tau. The water cast were not to be expected for another three months. Farseer Suei'croiuth saw quite clearly the exterminatus array being fiered from an orbiting ship then his vision flashed to a tau coriear starship coming to find the fresh remains of the planit, obliterated. He saw titans brought down with an endless streem of railgun fier. He saw unlikley heros arise to do battle with hidden tyrants. He saw all this as he sat in his chamber, freshly constructed out of wraith bone, he saw all this... and then it all changed. He had made up his mind. He saw a hidden path through the labrinth of time that would lead him and his kin to their goal. He would manipulate these warring factions. He would not see the unfathomably valuble artifact housed on this planit fall into the blundering hands of these Mon'Kie. He had much work to do, much to prepare...

After two days of marching, what was left of Marnak's platoon arrived at the city called Collatia. The buildings were unlike any Marnak had seen before - they were made of what looked like seamless white stone, with smooth shapes and alien symbols incorporated in their design. And they had all to some extent been brutally blown apart.
A company of Guardsmen from a different regiment had already arrived and set up a command post in a ruined building. Their captain met up with lieutenant Gorloq, said a few words, and them turned to the rest of the platoon. "Soldiers, you are temporarily the fourth squad of the third platoon of the sixth company of the seventy ninth regiment. By order from the highest level, this city is not to be liberated. It is to be cleansed. Kill every inhabitant."

Jules frowned as the intel appeared on his monitor...
So much red.... Are we just here on a cleansing mission?
Shrugging he shakes his head and activates his vox
"All allied forces clear a half mile radius from us three. We will be razing it all to the ground..." a moment passed as muffled reports came in of comfirmation and one could see the warring forces slow thier fight as once side began retreating. Switching frequencies to that of the other titans he then said
" All right boys, open up the plasma. A want to see bare earth from here to the waypoints my moderati are sending you now..."
A moment passed then confimation came from the other two titans. Jules took a moment admiring the scene in front of him the way a demolisions expect admired a building he was about to blow up. Turning to the moderati he then says
"Power up all wepons. raze this patch of earth to the ground."
