I been thinking about synapse with the null deployment style. Is 2 going to work? I feel I need at least 3
With the Flyrants have 2 synapse but been running a trygon prime for the 3rd. I was looking at the Swarmlord instead. I was also looking for a warriors in pod as well.
The Swarmlord in a pod runs around 360. gives you 3 extra powers and +1 to reserves and a few other thing. Over all if you don't use building he is our only choice at reserved bonus. He is not a bad choice.
The warriors are a customizable threat ranging from as little as 255 for 6 barebones and a pod and up. I was running them for around 340 to 360 with pod. Plus's are they have a ton of attacks and wounds. Can threaten most thing.
Thy trygon prime is the cheapest option even with the reaper upgrade I been running(230 to 275+). He is a good combat threat and can shot when he comes in. With 6 wounds he tends to live longer. Bonus he looks really cool with the custom Reaper as well.
I know all three of these are subpar, unwanted or unused units. Looking at running this in a Cad + Leviathan list at 1850.
I will post a sample list to get thoughts on this.
I am leaning towards the Swarmlord for the extra bonus's he brings.
Here that list sorry for the wait. This list is based with the warriors. The prime can be dropped for more goodies if wanted.

I have play tested this and it has worked well VS. IG, sm censtar, bike star and tau.
I think the Swarmlord could work as well but I was happy with the performance of this list as is. The warriors where a pain in the back field for all of my opponents to fight. With flesh hooks they can pick a target in cover with no fear of losing models. It has been great. Most people forget the unit has assault grenades and get to close thinking I wouldn't attack out of cover or in too it. The unit really likes having at lest 2 bone-sword lash whip warriors. hitting first and always wounding on a 4+ is so nice.
Having your opponent have to choice to shot your 2 Flyrants, 2 fexs, Trygon prime, or this unit of warriors has been great. Their is really no good answer for them
. Endless you are going with nothing but dakafex and Flyrants with minimum troops. I think warriors are a viable option as unit in a back field disruptor to work along the big bugs. If you get Catalyst on warriors in cover they are crazy hard to remove with str7 or less shooting.
With the warrior brood you could drop one of the lash whip model and a few up grades on some units to get one more spore for the Swarmlord if you drop the trygon. So many options....
Having the biovores in the Leviathan detachment is key for the reroll for IB to keep them doing what you want them too.
