everyone else is doing that, so why can't we? (c)
Last few weeks I saw several attempts to fanmake something (pretty short-living, to be fair) - there was an Eldar fan-supplement, there was a Squats fan-codex, and I think there was a guy in here with stampeding carnifexes as well. Don't know if that got in my head or something, but yesterday, after a couple of weissbergs, I sat down and made a quick balance list of what I think could be changed in our current book. Not like someone is gonna play by that rules, or not like this book will even matter soon (hopefully), it was more like a test of skills - can one man do something that an entire GW FAQ team could not.
So. A list of changes. Mostly minor. Changed prices. With some totally broken things, where prices wouldn't help - tried to change rules. Carefully and while keeping the spirit. Also tried to balance few things that could be considered OP in our book by other players - such as Doom or TroopTervi. Tried to avoid major changes everyone root for, though, like assault grenades, reimagining synapce (although I really wanted to do that, 'cause it doesn't work now like it's supposed to, does it?). Also tried to avoid mistakes and mistypes, but that barely worked, sorry for that.
So, let's rock.
Changes I'd made:
Few. Aaaand done!
If someone's interested in that thing (at least, you made it this far), I can explain why I chose to change this and that. Or, if you have your own tweaks and critics - add some. Maybe we'll really manage to do something, that GW guys couldn't do years ago.
Cheers, Hive!

Roll a 2d6 to calculate the range of the power each time you use it. All unit hit must immediately take a Leadership test on 3d6. If they fail the test, they suffer a single wound for each point they failed by, with no armour saves allowed. Wounds are allocated as from shooting, presuming that attack came from the Tyrant, and while Line of Sight restrictions are ignored, Cover saves are applied as normal.

If a non-vehicle unit is hit by this, it receives d3 hits instead of single one.
or alternate (please comment, which do you think is best, and balanced)
Corrosive Splash: If a vehicle sustained a hit from a weapon from this special rule, but before rolls to Penetrate are made, roll on a vehicle damage chart with -1 penalty; this effect applies to the vehicle hit in addition to the result of shot itself, although it does NOT reduces its Hull Points value.
