Hi guys, I have got a bit more work done on my fleet.

Any comments or advice is always appreciated and welcomed.

I know it is a fairly basic scheme, but I like the more basic and solid looks best. So here goes:

Looks good, man! Now you need to base them.

Yeah, I haven't decided on how to base them exactly yet. I am thinking just sand and then making a greyish base with some rocks and then some static grass patches here and there. Would complement the scheme well I think.

Wow what a great scheme (and paint job!), truly impressive. I am interested to see how you base your models because I suck really bad when it comes to basing my models.

I like that scheme too, and not just because its black, red and gold
Even if nids are aliens from another galaxy, I think it fits very well to give them some natural colours like for insects, reptiles, dinosaurs and so on. Yours reminds me of scorpions:
Keep going. Sand and stones for the bases would be just perfect

I'm glad I found this as I've been thinking of switching to a scheme very much like it, what do you use to highlight the carapace with? Administratum Grey?

I used Dawnstone for the highlights, and eshin grey for the dark grey color.

Finally Found the time to complete another model!

My first Tervigon. I think it turned out well, I definitely have some things to work on such as shading and blending colors together more. But he turned out better then I thought.

The red belly is very striking. I like it a lot. And the rest of the model is very clean, great job on the head in particular. The difference in tone between the skin and teeth is subtle but still looks great.

I appreciate the kind words guys! Next on my list is my unit of 3 Hive Guard. Hopefully in a week or two they will be fully done up.
