Harlequins are nice and the models are very pretty, only problem being people are going to shoot them quite a lot as soon as they can. Can Harlequins take a Wave Serpent?
I don't think so, but they really don't need it. If you take a Shadowseer in the squad you have to roll 2D6 to see them. So the only time you can shoot at them is when it's too late...
Way back when, a popular tactic was to put 6 in a falcon, and now that you can get in anyone's transport you like, you can put 10 in someone else's wave serpent. As long as it's for something that won't be using it (ex. Dark Reapers can take one, but would never use it). I just run them up with the shadowseer, since my serpents are reserved for avengers and fire dragons. Keep in mind, you can still disembark and assault if the tank hasn't moved.
I've seen people use swooping hawks and warp spiders effectivly (not in the same list though, doesn't mean it can't be done). I've seen one player use hawks to beat a stealer shock list back when that was a cheese army, and another player uses warp spiders as a flexible unit/bodyguard for his autarch. But yeah, if you don't like warp spiders you don't need them. I wanted to run a similar list to this one at first (with shining spears too, lol) but then I found out what a punch in the wallet metal models were. To date the only one's I've baught are a box of Dark Reapers, since the guy who sold me my first Eldar just kind of threw in some harlequins, and I got some fire dragons as a birthday present ;D. It was cool.
