That looks quite good. Though I would advise highlighting the carapace and also have a go at inking the purple and blue. Also highlight the bone with some white and bone colours. It would look a bit better really with just that much highlighting and shading. Also try a hand at painting the claws, scytals and hoofs in colours that contrast with the other colours you have used. Right now they tend to disappear into the carapace colour. Sans the base there is not much wrong with it. Kudos on the tail weapon and pose. It looks rather spiffing I'll say.
