Hive Fleet Face-Eater bugs (And one Imp)

Welp, I grabbed an old Imp Trooper out of my Bitz box to give an experimental paint job to, and I also painted up a new Tyrant Guard I had purchased (Tyrant isn')t painted yet,) And in order to make this thread actually worthwile, took some pictures of a few of my other critters.

I am particular happy with how the helmet turned out.. chopped it upa nd made it look quite like that big ugly critter just ate whoever was inside..

i sudjext you change the name of the hive fleet...... i expecting less pictures of big bugs and a crapload of rippers judging by the name.... that being said the nids look good.... o... and metalocalypse..... good show lol

I like it overall, the reds should be a little brighter though...this will hardly stand-out from a distance. But besides that, i like your nid scheme. I

I dont really like the greenish suit the guard is wearing...doesnt really seem to match the grey and red IMO. But thats just me

Well, I am still working on the scheme, and I noticed that it -is- a bit on the dull side. In fluorescent light it stands out a bit more, but not so much. Experimenting to try and bring it out, heh. The Tyrant Guard was my newest one and got the better painting technique, though not quite enough flash, I suppose. Ah well, only one wya to improve!

As for the Imp, I had figured 'armoured Infantry' and so I wanted to mix up camouflage with the regimented steeley grey of a tank... I guess. I'm pumping out some old Guard from my bitz box to test schemes before I put together the new army, heh.

Trust me, the name will fit. These are just my big bugs, and they are -not- the majority. In the 2000 point planned army, there will be 128 Gaunts, 3 Zoans, a Devil Tyrant with two Guards, 6 Raveners and 6 Warriors.
