I just want your opinion on this scheme, i'm trying out a buttload and cant tell if they're cool enough:
carapace-chanmail with Fortress grey highlights
skin-scorpion green lightly drybrushed with 10% chaos black, and 90% scorpion green
teeth-white db'd over C. Black
eyes- yellow
claws and hooves-normal leviathan way

Pat is s'caea or what ever, and chris is normal t'au. connor paints his black and white, eric is pink and blue. noah paints the normal imp way, like camo or w/e, matt has white, gold, and bleached bone.

I generally don't like the way metallic paints look on nids. It seems to drown out the detail in the models. The Use of grey, green and the red-to black would be very nice though.

P.S: a little patience would be nice. Posting five times in ten minutes makes you look bad.

No worries, it's in the same spot on the black b-ground too.
Best thing to do with models is to get a box of gaunts and paint a few in each scheme and see which one you like the most.
Best way to get replies is to post, then leave it for a day or too, kinda like deviled eggs (yum).

Maybe try your paint scheme on a few rippers or gaunts just to see if you live the results and process. Also if you include photo's here it will help us to give useful advice.

That said, I share Romorini's opinion that metallic paint does not suit nids. Tinting the paint with another colour (say green) or using the NMM technique would produce a better looking model. Personally I think metal has no place within the purely organic tyranid species.

i would say metallics have no place in mini's... but i am too lazy to do NMM on my khorne... so yeah...
