New Hive Fleet Joining the buffet!

Greetings,

Ladies and Gentlemen.

I'm not new to Warhammer or Warhammer 40k. I've been around since the early 90's playing the game. I am new to painting.

I've just started a Tyranid Army. Picked up my First Hive Tyrant on Friday base Coated him and then returned him to get another when the damn mold collapsed in my hands. In any case I've rebuilt him AGAIN! and am looking for paint scheme, I really like the Behemoth scheme, But I've decided to go a different route.

I was thinking doing Skin and such Catachan green and the bone/chitchinous areas Bleached bone.

Opinions? How to do highlighting/washes etc. Any tips and such would be awsome.

Or maybe can tell me what Colours to use to do the Highlighting and Washes/Inks and maybe I could dollow Kraken's guide on painting Behemoth?

I'm actually doing the catachan green with bleached bone carapace on commission for a friend of mine. Its coming out ok so far...I still need to hash out some color issues...as for painting tips:

I've been working it out in my head for the most of the day. How does this sound?

Catachan Green / Charadon Granite 50/50 Mix
then a layer of just catachan green,

for the Chitin and plates and stuff, Khemri Brown, and Camo Khaki, then Bleached bone.

then Flesh wash the entire model and then Catachan Green with Rotting Flesh for highlights on the skin and then for chitin, Bleached Bone and Skull white.
