Walking Hive Tyrant, Amazing Bully/Buffer, Solo?

I know his aura is quite useful to any shooty bugs life, but I want to use one as a t1 bully to hurl into the front lines.

Now that it throws 6 S10 ap-2 3d twin links and (if you go dual melee) 4 S8 ap-2 2d swings, is he durable enough to be that guy?

Edit: For Context hes probably coming down in a Tcyte.

I think it could work with a block of 6 Tyrant Guard with the right buffs like invulnerable saves FNP and regenerating lost models could be a horrific melee block especially with S10 crushing claws and S11 bone sword in Assimilation Swarm.

Mandatory to be Nexus or Invasion for the -1D or 5+++ enhancement. They will still probably drop pretty quick with only 10W. Nexus is prob better for the Tcyte plan for +1 to-charge to combine with the free RR.

I think this is good in a list with a bunch of other midsize monsters. I’ve run walkrant, swarmlord , OOE plus 2 spitter fex and 2 SK plus exos and support. The threat saturation coupled with current pariah tournament pack terrain really helps mitigate a lot of problems. This list still still doesnt actually kill all that well but it didn’t die as quickly as I thought it would.
