Zoan unit Size with a Neurotyrant

I been looking at how to run Zoan's with the new change.



A unit if six can a lot of benefit from the +1 to hit from the neuro.

Would it be worth taking two unit of 3 with a tyrant.

I have never taken two nerotyrant's.

or just take more zoan's

I would say go one Neuro with the group of 6 Zoan. It'll look cooler and it benefits more from stratagems and aura buffs from other units. Squads of 3 Zoans I've found are just so easy to kill so with 6 you're more likely to have some left over after they get shot up.

I've yet to try it out but big psychic unit of doom sounds fun!!

I like this unit in Assimilation Swarm as it can heal whole models as well.

Would you rather spend 105 pts to give 6 Zoanthropes +1 to-hit or 210 pts? I think the extra 105 for a second Neurotyrant is mostly dead-weight. I think it only becomes a worthwhile consideration if you need another character for a must-have relic, which I don't think any detachment really has 2 must-haves that Neurotyrants hold effectively.

Take 6 Tguard with him and the enhancement for +1S on melee weapons and you get s10 Crushing Claws.

Could work there, lots of high S attacks, and with enough terrain they should be able to hide relatively well. Tyrant guard wrecking crew!
