New player looking for 2000 point build

hello I am a new player and want to build a 2000 point army. So far i bought 2 combat patrols and some random boxes. Can someone please help me with a 2000 point list it can be a generic beginners list or whatever is recommended. Thank you!

If you're a new player, the Xmas box has some useful units at a discount. Tyrants are always useful and some troops like genestealers (less useful) and hormies and a norn, which can fill 290-310 points and a decent unit for holding a flank objective solo. I'd also recommend a couple boxes of zoanthropes to build 2 neuro, 4 zoans and use the remaining bits to build 3-6 venom thropes. This should give you a good starting point. Then I'd go for monsters like exocrine and Malaceptor this fills in the heavy duty shooting and support roles. I'd also go for 1 deathleaper and a Neurolictor or 2 for infiltrators for objective, assassinations and battleshock debuffs. Just my thoughts

Just wanted to add that you can find Tyranid half of Leviathan boxes on Ebay for a decent price.
It comes with a lot of models, some of which are meh, but if you're on a budget and your gaming group doesn't mind proxy models -Leviathan box is good.

Do you have a starter list you would reccomend? Maybe 2000 points. I just bought a couple combat patrols and some other units

Use the app, and pick your favourite unit and add it to the army, then pick your next favourite unit and add it also, and keep doing this until you get to 2000pts

As a new player, I would advise against starting at 2000pts, try the combat patrol, or 1000pts first.
