Has anyone Math-hammered the Carnifex Weapon options?

By far our most mutable unit - obviously if going melee only claws and extra talons are the way to go - but what about guns?

A cannon and a couple of spitters? Mixed melee and guns? Full dakka four Devourers?

What’s the best loadout for our classic distracty bois?

The cannons are fairly mediocre, just go 4x Devs/Spitters on gunfexes.

2xspitters for ap-2, and 2 claws because they are our only melee heavy hitter. With ooe obviously

With OOE you don't really need any more melee punch in the unit so I would go with quad Deathspitters in Invasion Fleet.
In any other detachment I have doubts if they are really worth it. IF bonuses on 6s are what makes them good.

Crusher is also decent for them to ignore -1 to hit and cover, but the bonus is a little more niche than Invasion.
