Custodes are the worst matchup for us on vanguard organism in my opinion. Lichtor type models (especially von Ryan's leapers) just do not have the strength, AP, amd damage to deal with custodes.

I'm surprised the tau player couldn't kill your army on assimilation swarm faster than they did. I'm assuming this came down to models being pulled out of line of sight? Also good analysis that assimilation swarm is about resurrecting expensive infantry.

Please can we make this thread about people's lengthy full review of the Tyranid Codex. I imagine some really good and unique opinions will pop up.
