Best secondary for new detachments

I am new to 10th Tyrranids. from 8th was the last time I played.

Been thinking about secondaries for the new detachments. What fixed secondaries would you all suggest?

These are the two I will play.
Vanguard Being very aggressive.
While the Assimilator seems is mixed.

What would you be advise for these detachments?

Honestly, I'd just run tactical by 'default'. With biovore, rippers, gargs, lictors we've got a lot of versatile ways to score, which is what tactical rewards, and it's got CP as a fall back benefit. Fixed, by contrast, can get dicey if your opponent can stop any scoring even once, and they know so can play around it.

That said, in some match ups with poor screening ability, BEL (or engage)+homers is good. Or homers+kill (e.g. BID into knights) if you're confident in getting that kill. Basically, homers is one of the few that's hard to stop entirely and scores well, BEL combos well with it and is similarly difficult to stop and scores well, but is not quite as easy (requiring two units and not having the center fall back).

Which fixed secondaries would you chose for an Endless Swarm? Or would you go Maelstrom (tactical)?

Engage and BEL. Auto advancing Horms/Gargs makes engage easy, and the 2CP to revive a unit in Strat reserves sets up for BEL since you can come out off on any board edge T3+. Teleport homers would be a good sub if taking a Tyrant for advance and action.

Still would take tactical over fixed unless you knew you could score at least 16 VP for both secondaries.

Assassinate, Overwhelming Force, Bring it Down, and No Prisoners.

All but BiD can be achieved well enough by sprinkling in some Lictors/DL into the swarm. Just cycle BiD away.

Yeah but only Assasinate is a fixed one that can, let’s say, reliably be taken against your horde list. OF and NP are one-hit wonders if your opponent is playing Tacticals.

My previous comment was about a Nid list taking those secondaries as tactical, not the opponent taking them. I was trying to highlight that there are only 4 kill tactical secondaries and a swarm list can reasonably achieve 3 of them.
