Will of the Hive Mind question

Hi, wording for the rule is....

Will of the Hive Mind: Once per turn, one friendly Tyranids
unit within 12" of one or more models with this ability can be
targeted with a Stratagem for 0CP, even if another unit from
your army has already been targeted with that Stratagem
this phase

My question is.... If I use this ability on a strat that had not already been used. Can I then use it afterwards for the cost of command points as usual? Or does using the free one first prevent it because the standard rules for strategems says you can't use them if they have already been used?

I played it that if I use the strat for 0 CP it counts as being used this phase.

Order matters. If you use the Will of the Hive Mind, you can't use the strat again normally. So if you want to use the same strat twice in the same phase, you need to pay for it first (i.e use it normally), and then use WotHM to trigger it a second time.

Yup. I think it was clarified in the comments pdf.
