Powerfist vs Gaunt weird maeketing

Has anyone else seen GW marketing of a gaunt getting it's head smashed by a powerfist.

What struck me as weird is that it was not in the context of war, but instead put in the setting of entertainment arena wrestling, with bombastic commentator voice over.

Nothing like the grim dark necessity of war, but instead enjoying the gratuitous violence against an outmatched and captive opponent.

SM players felt bad that their faction lost the engagement in new edition promotional video, so GW decided to make it up to them.

That's my theory at least.

It was a bit weird yeah. It seems that GW wanted to rub salt in the wound for how bad the revealed stats for the NG look.

It's also 40k and GWs promotions have talked about "this device psychologically tortures people so they have to commit violence. How metal is that!? Isn't it awesome!?" So to me them playing up the violence in a bombastic way is to be expected. It's odd to me that they play up both sides of the "it's over the top satire" card: they'll play up the violence but get shocked when 40k is referenced for bad things.
