Dense Cover doesn’t require Benefits of Cover (like Light or Heavy Cover) and does not grant Benefits of Cover (like Obstacles and Area Terrain). RAW, Dense Cover has no interaction with Benefits of Cover. GW did some rather poor rule writing (even by their standards) when it came to the terrain portion.
