Fight on death is fantastic, but can be played around (or do nothing vs Tau). Really the local meta would define which fleet is better for Horms.

That being said, a Horm heavy list hasn’t really made any waves yet. I think most of the Nids that have done well enough to go X-1 have been Jorm/Behemoth/Levi Monsters. Fallback & shoot custom fleets have had the only showing outside of monsters that I know of.

Is that a factor of RR hits from swarmy or rr1s to wound from a prime? im a math wizard clearly XD

That is 15x Horms w/o rr’s. With SL rr’s it’s 14 dmg for Behemoth and 14.1 for Gorgon. Adding the Prime rr wounds; 16.1 vs 15.7 (since the MWs cap). Gorgon Horms are just as effective while being cheaper and can increase damage with TS.

Behemoth Horms are better off with TS as well; 15x w/o rr’s and the fleet power is 8.8 wounds. This makes TS more efficient vs MEQ than AG, 15.3 ppw vs AG 16.1 ppw, and the gap increasing vs T5+. TS also have more synergy with hit rr’s.

Wound roll buffs are hit pretty hard by low AP, making Horms a mediocre target for the Behemoth power for punching up.

Yeah, I think the bigger draw for Behemoth is stealers, hitting S5 with no support is generally going to be better than the Gorgon buff, and with actual AP +1 to wound is going to be better (or at least much more comparable) to the Gorgon power. Only real advantage I could see for Behemoth over Gorgon horms is unbuffed into vehicles that aren't T8+ (or I guess T3?), but...that's pretty niche.

Makes me wish Termagants devourers weren't a cost upgrade as a punishment for being spammed so hard lol they would do some work in gorgon.
